Excellent value accomodation with friendly hosts.The Ambassador is a well run, friendly establishment, clean and convenient for all amenities. Our room with a large ensuite bathroom was excellent. There was a very good choice for breakfast and the food was hot and well cooked. The hosts, including Bracken the dog made us most welcome and were very informative about the local area, good walks and places to eat. We will definitely stay there again when we go to Devon.

Travelling with a dogWe had a very pleasant stay here, the service was friendly and gave us local knowledge which proved invalable to our stay. They really made us feel welcome which was extra special as we took our dog with us.The cleanliness of the room and the rest of the hotel was second to none and the breakfast was delicious.We will certainly be staying there again in the future.

late decision due to original holiday being cancelledno problems with the welcome party (baby and collie). The place was clean and the food was delivered on time at breakfast but eventually I think it is overpriced in comparison to bigger hotels in the area.

Very friendly & welcoming. Good value.Mark & Yvonne provided a very warm welcome - as did Bracken, their ultra friendly sheepdog. Simple but comfortable room and a good breakfast was exactly what I wanted, and was good value. On site parking (plus some on street) and a handy location. Will stay again.

Excellent Choice in PaigntonThe guesthouse is in a quiet street five minutes walk from therail and bus station, and two minutes from the seafront. There's a warm welcome, the room was nice with plenty of space for clothes storage. Our bed was comfortable and the shower was better than average. The breakfast, served between 8.00 and 9.00am, is excellent, with the vegetarian options including Linda McCartney sausages. Overall a very good experience, I would certainly recommend the Ambasador to anyone.

Couldn't have had a better timeA great place to stay, the service was excellent and very friendly.The room was nice and clean, car park on site and the hotel is 5mn walk from the sea side.I was recommened the shoreline for dinner and that was excellent too and only 5mn walk with view over the sea.The breakfast was nice and freshly cooked! I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Paignton!

Devon BreakHotel was great. Near to trains and beach but set back enough so as not to be bothered by the high street hustle. very friendly and helpful.

Warm WelcomeI received a very warm welcome on arrival to The Ambassador, and felt instantly at home there. Being run by a family gave it a very cosy feel (and they have the best behaved and most affectionate dog I've ever met!). The rooms are decorated simply but tastefully, with all the basic needs a B&B traveller would want! I have already recommended The Ambassador, and will definately stay there again.

Really nice guest house, run by a friendly couple. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with loads of options. I would be quite happy to stay there every time I go to Paignton.

This is the 2nd time i've stayed at this hotel, and it will not be the last. Once again, a great welcome from Mark and Yvonne. Different room this time, jsut as comfortable, perfectly clean, very nice breakfast (good selection of cooked and cereals). I would happily recommend the Ambassador to anyone.

The reason I chose this hotel was for price as I only needed to sleep and go. I can only speak for the single room, the heating was not really adequate, and the telly had poor reception only being run on an indoor aerial. Having said that I did sleep well and the hotel was quiet with excellent friendly service. Breakefast was prompt and fresh.
