Date of Stay:

I've been staying at this location for 20 years under different owners. I happen to like being able to look out over the airport or over the west mesa on the other side. Some people might find the fly overs annoying. The building is getting on in years but the place is clean and the staff have always been the best. Can't beat the proximity to the airport and access to the freeway is easy.

Location. Noise from rooms. Being renovated, room was large but could hear through walls very well, bathroom nice, pool was not heated, only one little girl brave enough to go in.
Date of Stay:
April, 2009
room dirty, window dirty, sheets, yes sheets dirty and turned inside out. furniture dirty, rug dirty, filthy dirty. don't go here, it was terrible. we have stayed in dumps that were cleaner. and this is supposed to be three stars. a compressor ran all night under our window. you could hear the people talking in the room next door. at a normal voice. we tried moving our heads to the foot of the bed to discover dirt and dust. this really is a bad hotel the maid who came was nice, and the head maid was nice. they were going to check on who "cleaned" the room. don't even think of eating food in their restaurant. it is the worst food i have eaten in quite a while. awful.

very professional hotel especially for abq. , within walking distance of airport, good food/bar, access to internet, reliable shuttle service, staff is very on top of things.

I love the wyndom/grand/ whatever have been staying since 2000 but the big draw back is you have two visitors two coffee cups and one packet of condiments really sucks!

The location was at the Plaza andworked really well.

Stayed here and if you are looking for price thats it The place needs to be totally cleaned and redone over from years of neglect and lack of care. The bedding has seen its days as of 5 years ago, and stinks of smoke and outdated as of 5 years ago Good location/ price / buts thats it.

I found this hotel to be very nice until I checked in. The room was much more expensive than the online agency price. Internet access was an additional charge not mentioned in the online agency description. The restaurant was overpriced for the food quality and the evening service was horrible.

The picture is better than the reality. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the exercise room need serious help, the doors to closet in our room wouldn't shut, as well as the curtains.

Proximity to airport. Unclean, smelled like smoke, noisy and cluttered. A dingy and unpleasant hotel, but very close to the airport. Was glad I had slippers because wouldn't have wanted to put my bare feet on the floor. Even the hallways smelled like smoke.

The hotel is incredibly convenient to the airport. Shuttles run every 5-10 minutes 24 hours a day. You could even walk to the airport with no luggage. Our room was clean, well-decorated, and everything worked. The restaurant was deserted when we ordered a late lunch, but they were accommodating. The staff is friendly and professional throughout the hotel. Parking close was easy.

This hotel is very conveniently located close to the airport and major highways (25 & 40). The hotel staff was always very friendly, I made a couple of special requests from the room maid and they were very accomodating in getting what I needed.

We arrived late in the evening and left very early the next morning. It was very quiet. We appreciated the proximity to the airport.

The hotel is in the process of renovation which did not interrupt the comfort of our stay. The hotel definitely was in need of an update. Very clean but well worn. Very convenient to the airport. You could actually walk there with rolling luggage.

Front desk and hotel staff were very nice. Room itself seemed rather dated; the blow dryer burned up on initial use (just turned it on); front desk did replace it when asked. Carpet was rather worn and abused. Asked room service to bring my breakfast 1.5 hours earlier than requested; no problems. Food in restaurant was good; opened bar at 11:30 for a glass of wine (just for me). Coffee amenities in room were sparce (didn't provde any powder cream; just sugar items).

I loved this place! ALL of the personnel... the front desk folks, the maids, the room service, the restaurant's waiters, were all =total= professionals and courteous and friendly.I've had to spend time in MANY hotels in my career (with plenty of unpleasant experiences), and the Albuquerque Sunport Wyndham hotel easily ranks at the top for guest comfort. My summary: courteous professionals throughout and an excellently maintained room. You will definitely enjoy your stay at this hotel."

The hotel is under renovation, but that did not impact the room or food quality, both of which were substandard. The hotel sits in a convenient and easy to access location. The climate control system in the room allows the fan to either blow hot or cold, something determined by the maintenance staff and the time of the year. Albuquerque has vast fluctations in the temperatures for most of the year. I stayed there in April, when the temps ranged from 40's to 80's. Since it was "Spring", the air blew cold no matter what I set the temp at. Hence the room was freezing at night. If I stopped the fan, the smell of cigarettes (in the non-smoking room) quickly took over the atmosphere. The bed was hard in some spots and soft elsewhere. The pillows were substandard for the price of the room (130+). The room was dirty -- cobsebs in the easy-to-reach corners and dust build-up. The lotion was opened and half-used. My favorite worst part was the food. I ordered room service one night. The meal itself was acceptable as sustenance. However, after eating a weird patine form on the roof of my mouth, back of my teeth, and back of my throat. I had to brush, floss, and gargle about a dozen times before it went away. day later I am still chewing gum to get rid of the last lingering bit of it. I am not sure what inthe food caused it -- the cheeseburger or the apple pie; but it was freaky to be sure. Nothing in AQ is too far away -- do yourself a favor and find a different hotel -- or bring a lot of tothpaste and lunesta.

Proximity to the airport, to my meeting venue, friendly staff, warm and professional atmosphere. Wish hours of tea/coffee availability in the lobby can be extended since I don't like powder creamers provided in the room. Will recommend to a friend. Even though it is so close to the Albuquerque International Sunport, never heard the planes outside.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to the airport and UNM. There are a number of places to eat close by.

Close to airport. Low end furnishings and bedding.
