Acer guest house Yorkit was a good location for the centre of York being only a 10 minute walk away, parking could be tricky as it was only street parking and a residents parking scheme in place. The guest house was nice and clean and well maintained although the room was smaller than we thought it would be.

This guest house would be OK if it was £40 per night but not £75. For that I would expect a lot more. It is way over priced. It is hard to understand a 4 star rating.Management ResponseWhilst the guest made no complaint during his stay the issues appear to relate to booking a double room and not requesting the single occupancy rate. The Acer is a four star guesthouse, as assessed under the Quality in Tourism scheme of Visit Britain. I have apologised to the guest in person for these misunderstandings.

Early check in time was the main reason for choosing this B&B. Great location for access to York shops & attractions. Friendly and welcoming host. Breakfast was superb. Very quiet & easy going B&B.

looked after very well, lovely breakfast .My 76 year old mother who is very active did struggle with the distance to walk from the centre but a taxi was only £3-£4 one way.

The hotel had a very friendly feel and is a short walk from York Station. The attention to detail was perfect and the freshly cooked breakfast was of much better quality than other hotels in the area.
