The front desk staff was accomodating and the house service excellent. We stayed in the "penthouse" suite, but the access was somewhat difficult, quite a climb up a series of stairways. The view however was first class, the champagne and chilled glasses was a nice touch, and the swan shaped towels on the bed impressed us both. The location of the hotel is central, and you rarely even need a taxi. Great restaurants, discos, and bars just minutes walking distance away. For the price is was a great deal.

This hotel is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. They put us in a room on the 4th floor, but only had an elevator to 3rd floor, so we had to walk close to a mile, down this LOOOOONG hallway that turned left & right so many times, and then had to walk up a flight of stairs to get to our room. Even after informing them that I have a disability and can't do stairs, they said they couldn't move us. We tried several times to reach the front desk, room service. housekeeping, ANYBODY, and nobody would ever pick up the phone. We couldn't get any service. After specifically telling them we did NOT want maid service. They entered our room while we were away, and only changed the sheets. Left the garbage and dirty towels. You couldn't pay me to stay at this hotel again! It really ruined our vacation.

Our travel agent was not made aware of on-going hotel construction. Jack hammers and power saws started every morning 830 sharp and pool side. Hotel would not honor a 25 Mastercard food & bev. credit and threatened not to let us leave the hotel if we didn't pay our 15 food charges. Average pool at best. Hagglers galore at marina entrance. On the flip side, nice rooms and location.

We booked our hotel room the day before we arrived at the hotel. When we arrived with our Orbitz confirmation, the front desk attendant said that they had no record of our reservation. We had him search by the confirmation number, my name, my wife's name, but he said that nothing showed-up. We showed him our confirmation on my Balckberry, then showed him the confirmation on my laptop, but they would not accept either. Our confirmed room rate was $64.50, and he wanted to put us in a more expensive room and charge us for more than that, and then said the "you could work it out with Orbitz later on". We called Orbitz Customer Support and the first time we were routed to a number that did not answer their phones (it was around 8:30 PM Cabo time). The second time I called Orbitz, I got a representative who spoke directly with the front desk attendant. She tried to fax him the confirmation 2 times but both times he said that he did not receive it. We did not know if they were trying to scam us into a higher paying room so we insisted on getting the room for the reserved rate. Finally they left us get into our room after over an hour of hassle. The next morning when we checked-out, they still maintained that they had no record of our reservation and that they wanted us to pay them (I'm guessing at the higher rate) and they said the problem was between Orbitz and us. We told them that we had a confirmation and that the problem was between Orbitz and the hotel. They finally relented, and we high-tailed it out of there. We just stayed the one night, but I would not recommend this place. We fetl like they were trying to scam us and there staff was not helpful at all.

Well it was cheap. The dance bar beneath my room with the screaming bass until 2 am was interesting. The screaming bass from the dance bar beneath my room until 2 am. 2 stars out of 5. Good for a business traveller who is so tired he doesn't care where he stays.

Five weeks after my January visit, I booked again - for the same $* rate. I was given an interior room with only one window that looked into a dark corridor. Desk explained that's what I paid for. I explained the room I had five weeks ago and why I returned, and got a different room - for this lower rate, my view was the city, not the marina. It took some firm demanding at the desk to get this room change. I DO NOT ADVISE BOOKING AT THE LOWEST RATE! I will book again at $* rate, which is still quite the bargain in an excellent hotel in a perfect location. Other caution - the far east end (lower room numbers) of the hotel has rooms built over the nightclub. I had "thumpa thumpa" very loud until 3AM. If I hadn't already thrown a fit for the room change, I would have asked for another room. Also, funny, my room had no room safe, and the front desk refused to hold my passport for me.

We loved our stay. Took our 21 years old boys for spring break. They had a blast with the night life near by. The water taxi was convienient, and Baja Cantina supplied us with lots of extras. The food was great, and we felt safe with security near by. Lots of kids having fun and live entertainment for me and my husband. We will definitely come back.

the Bed was very comfortable, the Staff very friendly. Great location, but with all the construction it's a bit noisy. but am sure in about 2 years this place should one of the best in Cabo.

Location. Room not facing water, would not recommend. This hotel was clean and a great location. Not a lot of amenities in room no coffee pot,CD orDVD player, no in room movies, no bathtub, not all rooms face water ours did not. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of easy access to shopping and dining.

It was more like a prison than a hotel. I'm single and I met an attractive woman at a bar and invited her over for a night cap, but the security and front desk wouldn't let her come up to my room. This is definitely not the place for singles. They have over-dressed security people everywhere, none of which speak any English. Bad beds, maid service when you're trying to get ready for dinner and the guy at the restaurant downstairs almost rips your arm off trying to get you to come in. Not nearly as nice as other places I've stayed.

The annual trek to Cabo and we stayed here last year.. I have to be honest and say this placed cleaned up it's act. Everything was greatly improved form 06 visit. All inclusive food was really good and a fair selection. Service was great and the rooms were clean. The only thing is that they only stock the in room fridge with bottled water every 3 days.. There is a water cooler to fill your bottles but come on restock everyday... This hotel is close to everything!

We stayed only 2 nights, after 2 weeks in quiet La Paz, and before flying back home. Though Cabo San Lucas is a beautiful area, it has been totally destroyed by construction and all-inclusive resorts. It is just impossible to have a walk in town or on the beach without being stopped every 2 minutes by sellers, who try to sell you all kinds of goods: from time-share to souvenirs, passing through water activities and food. The hotel is beautiful, but everything is pre-organized and pre-digested for you.

I loved this resort, for the location, cleanliness, and the price. I couldn't have said a nicer word about it. Until.... I got my credit card statement, which reflected that my $285 security deposit was never voided, as it should have been. I called the 1 866 number for the resort, and was told to call the hotel directly in Mexico. One international phone card, and 3 DISCONNECTED calls later, I called the 1 866 number again, and that call was disconnected. I called back to be told there was no supervisor available to speak to, so I should try emailing the manager of the hotel. I emailed him and he responded asap. He advised that he could not void the cc transaction and would need my bank details to wire the money! My bank said NO WAY, so I asked for a check to be sent to me. He was reluctant to do that, but agreed....and that was 2 WEEKS AGO!!! Now I can not get hold of him and he will not return my emails. I called the 1 866 number again, and was told again that there is no supervisor there and I need to call the hotel in Mexico. OMG!!!! So....as a budget traveller, I could have stayed somewhere much nicer and spent the same amount of money on accomodation. Short of flying back down there, I don't know that I'll ever get that money back and I am extremely annoyed. I don't know that I have ever been given this much of a run around to be reimbursed for a charge which was their mistake. Honestly, the quality of the hotel is fine, but why would I rate anything better than one star?

I like this hotel...it's a great central location, beautiful view of marina, several restaurants nearby, shopping, however, based on this stay and a previous stay, I felt their front desk could improve (try harder) on their communications and friendliness. I had a free room upgrade from my Orbitz reservation, however I received the same room I booked even though I specifically asked for the upgrade. I found this to be the way Cabo operates in general. There's a large percentage of suppliers who choose to over promise and under deliver. Just make sure you have everything anyone promises you in writing.

Brilliant hotel - clean, luxurious, big room, great balcony (next time I'll pay just a bit more for the marina view). Short, easy walk to the beach (hint: when you take the water taxi from the beach to lover's beach, have the taxi take you all the way back to the hotel). As I saw all the expensive resorts a long ways from town, I loved being able to walk around the marina or town and choose from many restaurants. Staying at the Tesoro meant no need for a car. Second floor pool in the center of everything meant we could see everything and no one within our view knew the pool was there Minor drawbacks - hard beds, and some rooms were a long walk from the elevator. The kitchenettes mentioned didn't happen at the lowest rate, and "internet access" means one booth in the lobby, no Wi-fi (glad I didn't take the laptop).

We were horrified at the experience. We were harrassed by staff, consierge, employees, and associates to visit a sister property while fighting to get what we had paid for at this hotel. Terribly rude and loud staff. The dining was fair and repetative. The room not as nice as expected. We do not recommend this hotel at all!

Best part was the price compared to other hotels. Really liked the location, but the tradeoff is noise from the Marina and clubs due to its convenient location. OK gym and pool. Liked the shuttle service to Medano Beach.

I Staying at Tesoro I must admit was very nice, I was impressed with the rooms, and everything the hotel has to offer. I did not buy the all-inclusive package just the room and to be honest you don't need to, you are walking minutes from several restaurants where the food is cheap and sometimes they even offer drink specials (2 for 1 and free shots of tequila). The hotel is located on the Marina and is in the middle of downtown. The view from my room was beautiful. I would stay here again....just be careful not to use the phone to call anyone outside of Mexico. They tried to charge me $49 for a 3 min call to the US and downstairs thru the arcade there is a liquor store that charges $3 for 10 minutes. Overall the stay was still nice other than that little setback which was at the end of the trip.
