at intersection of two main streets, so easy to find; (free) parking in front, was always available; front desk guy was great! (free email by front desk); room (in the back) was 'basic', but clean, quiet, and brand new, (and price was great!) location: the 'Mexican' side of Cancun, (not many tourists), but I was comfortable walking up the street in the evening, to see 'locals' shopping the street vendors! stay there again? certainly!

the location is far away from everything the rooms are super small the food is horrible and the beds had bed bugs i could not sleep all night long i tried to cancel my reservation but they would'nt give me my money back so i just left the hotel and stayed at the marriott wish is excellent. i go to cancun 3 or 4 times a year and i would'nt stay in this hotel ever again orbitz should'nt have this hotel in their website

I booked this hotel via online in the middle of spring break knowing that I would probably pay a premium. The rooms were clean, room service is around 10am-2pm depending if they start from the top floors down or bottom up. As for the on site restaurant, it's probably good for a few meals but the menu is slim and a little pricey; on the plus side portion sized are very generous. There are a few 24 hr stores about 20-50 meters in every direction in addition to a full supermarket, 2 malls and a street market a couple blocks away at the main intersection of Jose Lopez Portillo and Tulum. Because Jose Lopez Portillo is considered to be an internal highway there is a considerable amount of noise due to the open concept of the hotel. Everything else including wireless, service, and cable worked flawlessly. As a tip i suggest you upgrade to the 2 twin room or jr 1 bedroom because it has a mini fridge, aside from the noise there were no really big problems.

When I first arrived I was a bit skeptical. I was concerned about the location however after spending a few days walking around I found it to be quite safe with LOTS of VERY inexpensive places to eat and drink just around the corner. The rooms are VERY basic. Bed, TV, Fan, Table, Closet Airconditioner.........thats all folks. The important thing for me was it was CLEAN.....I never saw a bug, the maids were constantly working and not just making beds. Scrubbing, cleaning mopping real work. The front desk is exceptionally helpful with everything ! The bus stop is right accross the street and runs 24hrs a day for 50cents !!!! takes you to downtown , beaches, hotel and club districts. I highly recommend the available BEACH CLUB. They leave every morning at 930am and return at 5pm. It's beautiful, great food, drinks very reasonable $3 huge pools cabanas and great beach. Wifi everywhere. It reminded me a bit of an adult hostel, I met people from Italy, Israel, Bahamas, Germany all adventurous friendly and we all went clubbing !!! Cant say anythiing bad just give it a chance dont be frightened away when the cab pulls up...........great deal great price !!!

Hotel a little off beaten track, construction right in front was offputting but once inside it was remarkably quiet. Great value and compitent staff, internet = computer at reception, connection speed good. OK if you are stopping over but a walk on "variable" footpaths / pavements required.

The hotel was quite inexpensive, but very clean and comfortable. The kitchen chefs prepared very delicious, inexpensive meals (both American and traditional Mexican). The staff spoke English for the most part, and could not do enough to help me and make my visit memorable. When I arrived, I was having problems confirming my tours. The hotel manager took it upon himself to continue calling the confirmation numbers, while I went shopping, until he had reached all tour desks and had confirmations ready for me upon my return. When I tried to tip him for all of his efforts, he told me it was only part of his job, nothing extra! When I wanted to drive my rental car to the ferry for Isla Mujeres, the manager told me there was no parking at the ferry terminal, advised me to take a bus from the hotel, and waited with me at the bus stop, until a bus arrived and I was safely on board and on my way to the terminal. I would certainly stay at this hotel again, and I highly recommend it to all for an inexpensive and very memorable visit to Cancun.

A boutique type hotel with a great location close to shopping and beach.

we got in really late and didnt want to blow a lot of cash on a expensive hotel just to sleep for a few hours... this place is ok for a nite or two or if you want to save cash and dont mind a taxi ride to get anywhere. we were headed to isla mujeres the next day so it was prime for us...you can almost see the ferry (puerto juarez) from the lobby but dont hoof it unless you got light bags...its like a 30 peso cab ride (3 bucks). place was a bit beat up but ok enough for its purpose, ac works, wirless internet acess available but i had to stand on one leg outside to get a proper signal to make reservations for a nicer hotel later on in the week...after our isla stay. but if you are with a your boys and just need a place to crash, this is your place...but rent a car cuz youll need it.....unless you dont mind strange stares by locals who think your lost and need directions to the hotel zone.

The hotel was clean and the employees(for the most part were friendly). I would advise anyone who wants to purchase tickets for activities to ask around b/c if you buy them in the hotel, they will overprice them. The hotel is in the downtown area so its far from the hotel zone, but you can get free transportation to and from the beach every two hours before 4 pm or you can catch the bus for about 60 cents. The hotel is defenitely not a five star, but its cozy and comfortable. One of the things I did not like about the hotel is that they close the pool early (6:30 pm). I would defenitely stay there again!

The hotel is located about 20 minutes away from the beach, however, this was our second time to Cancun so we wanted to try to stay more in the heart of Cancun and get a better feel of the culture. Just a warning though, there isn't even a view of the ocean anywhere. There's not too much to do activity wise but it was a decent place to stay. The rooms were very clean, the staff was great, and for the price it was a great deal.

I found sugar ants in the room every day, even the first day I arrived. The hotel offered a service of taking visitors to the beach in their van. I took advantage of this service. It worked fine on the way there. I arranged a return time with the hotel desk clerk and the driver. No one returned to pick me up. I had to find my own way back over 8 mi. to the hotel. When the hotel manager was told about the problem he agreed to take me free to the airport the next day when I left, so he did try to make up for the problem. No one came, they said, because they had to take someone else to the airport on the day I went to the beach.

"Hotel misleads you by advertising itself ""in the heart of central Cancun."" It is NOT! It is in a somewhat rough neighborhood on the outskirts of downtown, with a long long walk to el centro. Clean but VERY spartan rooms. Nice service. Noisy at night with kids playing in courtyard."

"If you want the tourist strip, this is not the hotel for you. This is a simple, clean, cute hotel with great service. They answered any questions I had. The bus stops right in front of the hotel to get to the tourist strip. Restaurant next door has great, cheap food! Really good experience."

The hotel staff was very kind, helpful, professional. (They let us use their computer at the front desk and gave us a ride down to the ferry). [...] was very accommodating. The restaurant is simple but has really good food (try the shrimp). The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Only downside is the location- it's not in a touristy area of town so there isn't anything to do in walking distance and it can be a bit noisy toward the front of the hotel. Rooms towards the back are quieter. We will use it again as a stop in between.
