a nice clean fairly basic hotel very near city centre (3 minute work away) plenty of casual eating places handy. I would come back if in napier

The room included a complimentary continental breakfast which was great. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very well placed for the main drag and was only about 10 minutes walk to the ocean. I would recommend staying here.

It had been a while since I had stayed at The Tennyson and I was most impressed by the excellent changes and improvements the new owners have made. The location is excellent, the rooms whilst middle of the road are very user friendly. I will certainly be returning on future visits to Napier.

We really enjoyed our stay, nice big room, very close to everything but quiet due to double glazing. Friendly staff. Breakfast was very basic but ok. Would stay again.

An absolutely fabulous hotel. The managers went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The beds were SO comfortable and the room was clean and fresh. Lovely breakfast. Couldn't fault this superb hotel at all.
