A great little hotel in a great city.Ten Hill Place is a 10 minute stroll from the town centre and is ideal for a short break. The nature of the building means that rooms are a little on the small side and you don't have much of a view, but that doesn't detract from this contempary hotel.

a perfect wee "overnight"My mum and i were looking for something clean and modern and comfy for our short visit to Edinburgh, We wanted something quiet away from the hussle and bussle of the city and yet near enough to walk to the castle for the concert we were there to see . This we found in Ten Hill Place , Everything was just as we,d hoped , the staff were pleasant and unintrusive , to me good service is when things just work and go to plan ,and with no need to call "0" from your room looking for ....a tv remote , clean towels , help with the heating etc etc etc . In short i would reccomend to friends and would definately stay again .

Modern, clean, lovely rooms and well located (easy walk into centre - 10 mins). Only irritation was lorry offloading at a depot at the rear (where my room faced) late at night. Minor though - overall positive.

Modern hotel located in the very heart of Edinburgh. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Tip: Pre-book your breakfast in advance - you can save 15% on the regular price. Generally it was a real bargain. I would definitely stay there again.

good little hotelWe thought this hotel was excellent, close to city centre but away from the noise, nice & clean with helpful staff. Hotel parking was a must but Â£12 per night could get a bit pricey.

Extremely friendly staff. Well fitted modern rooms and clean. Would not fault hotel or staff. Only issue is parking. Cost £10 p/d at hotel. This is standard rate across Edinburgh. I have travelled all over and Edinburgh is the only place I know that all hotels charge residents for parking. I would certainly go back here again

Excellent value for money - superb customer service and highly recommended. ++++++++++++10 Hill Place is a superb well run hotel and ideal for a short stay in Edinburgh. We found the staff to be highly polite and courteous and nothing too much trouble. The small bar/lounge area is well equiped with dining tables and chairs, and sofa chairs for your comfort after eating. Whilst it is not a huge eating area, we always managed to get a table and the food on offer was delicious. Our room whilst on the small side, was superbly furnished and the en-suite bathroom was to a very high standard indeed. All in all we would definately recommend 10 Hill Place to anyone looking for a centrally based hotel in Edinburgh, as it is not far on foot to most of the places of interest.Stve and Heather (July 2009)

Unfortunately, a room allocated to me first happened to be not so well cleaned, but the staff at front desk was so nice to offer me immediately a better room for apology. This second room was clean. I greatly appreciate his quick wit and friendly treatment for me. During my stay, I asked him of doing other favour and he helped me a lot. The staff competent and kindness could offset the first difficulty and it was a pleasant stay on the whole. I would like to reccomend this hotel to my friends.

SMART CITY HOTELThis hotel was stylish and in an ideal position in Edinburgh situated right by Pleasance and Festival Theatre. Part of Surgeons Hall it ties in with conference and banqueting suites.All profits from this Hotel are reinvested in training of surgeons and dental surgeons.

Elegant and cheapThe hotel is very well located in a lively area, but in a very calm street, and with all Edinburgh's attractions in a comfortable walking distance. We stayed in a newly refurbished room that was both very elegant and well-designed with high quality materials and tasteful colouring. Considering the price, this was really a bargain. The only negative experience was that in spite of the elegant bathroom the plumbing had some shortcomings: the mixer in the shower could only produce (very) hot water and we had to open the hot water tap in the zink to be able to have a shower. And that tap was a bit misconstrued so the water went directly into the safety sewage making it difficult to get under the water when washing your hands. But these are details that can be easily fixed and the overall impression is an excellent one.

I booked the hotel as a suprise 15th wedding anniversary for myself and my wife and was very pleased with every aspect of the hotel. My wife has food allergies so i contacted the hotel direct by e-mail and the food and beverage manager was extremely helpful and provided everything we needed. The hotel is about a 10min walf to Princes street and the royal mile.we stayed in a skyline junior suite which is recommended as the views you get are exceptional.We will be definately coming back for a another stay soon.

Nice stylish placePerfectly pleasant quiet hotel in a side street off the rush and bustle of North Bridge. Rooms comfortable and cool. Quiet.

The room was fine and it was a busy weekend with the Edinburgh marathon on which was why we were Staying but the value for money was poor, the room was only marginally better than the quality of a travel lodge for quadruple the expendature. The bath room has clear glass pannels in the door which are not good when sharing the room with friends/family.

Don't bother with the breakfast!The room was great but the breakfast was poor. As it's not included on the Late Rooms deal, I wouldn't bother paying extra for it!
