This was our 1st time at Temptation Resort and we've already booked again for next year. Best vacation we've ever had, beats Vegas and Bahamas hands down. We were in room 1345 overlooking the quiet pool and our room was great. AC worked fine, we even had to cut it off a few times and room was kept clean. Yes, the beds are hard, but we've read that about all the hotels. They probably all buy from the same supplier. I took my own pillow which really helped. If your room overlooks the Paty'O outside bar and you want to sleep, you should request to be moved since this bar is open until 5am. If you're there on Sunday book the Chichen Izta/Senotes tour with the resort since it's only $79.00, in a private van with 13 guests maximum. The bus tours offered on- line average $95 and pick up 45 people from multiple resorts and you'll be gone from 7am until 8 or 9pm. We were not there Sunday and paid $325 for private transportaion, plus $30 for a tour guide. The Chichen Izta tour plus swimming in the senotes was the highlight of our trip. On our next visit we plan to take the resort trip to Isla Majueres which got rave reviews from everyone we talked to. Coco Bongos was our one night trip and was worth the $40 cover charge. It's open bar & they start serving shots of Tequila while you're in line. The theatre show was worth every penny. It's a great show where you can dance at the same time if you choose. Nothing like it even in Vegas. It opens at 10:30pm and goes until 3am. At the resort we drank beer and margaritas the whole time and took our own cups to the pool which the bartenders gladly filled. A few tips and the drinks were almost too strong. Service everywhere was great. We found the service at the buffet was even better than at the restaurants. The only negative: AVOID THE "TIMESHARE TOUR" at all costs. They offer to have someone give you a 1 hour tour of the resort and you get a $100 voucher for your time which you can only use at the resort towards tours. We told them up front that we had no intentions of buying and were only going for the $100 gift. After the tour we were taken to a room with about 10 tables with sales reps at each one talking to couples, some of whom looked exhausted. They say it's 1 hour, but after 1 hour when we stopped his sales pitch, the sales rep said we had to hear his entire presentation to get the gift and begged us not to "make him look bad in front of his boss". When we refused to listen and said the resort had misrepresented themselves, he called in his manager, Pedro, to sign the voucher, who then said it was really 90 minutes and tried to guilt trip us for wasting their time if we knew we weren't interested in buying. We told him we were honest from the beginning and that they had been the ones who were dishonest. Then we had to threaten to post bad reviews online in order to get them to give us our $100 voucher and let us leave. Unless you want to buy, don't waste your time, it's high pressure and your time is better spent out by the sexy pool. Yes, some women are topless and games are adult themed but we found nothing offensive. If you're a prude, go elsewhere. You'll pay over $100 a night for a hotel room in Cocoa Beach, Florida where we live, just for the room, so this all inclusive resort which was less than that, including all your food (which was excellent) and unlimited drinks is a unbelievable value!!! Tips are included, but we did tip at every meal, at the bar and our maid. In retrospect, being American we probably over tipped and realized we were getting great service without tipping. However, seeing how hard the employees work, and being aware of the low wages in Mexico, they surely earned it. My husband woke up one morning at 5:30 am (due to the time difference) and watched guys scrubbing the pool, raking the beach sand and hauling away seaweed that had washed ashore during the night. They also have a security guard on the beach 24 hours to keep outsiders out and prevent people from bothering you on the beach trying to sell you stuff. This was the 1st vacation where we were counting down the hours before we had to leave and dreading it. We were still at the pool 1 hour before our transportation was scheduled to pick us up for the airport. We were busy saying goodbye to all our new friends and taking pictures. We've recommended this resort to everyone we know.

Very disappointing experience. I'm not a prude and can take a joke, but I found the MC's in the sexy pool to be very crude and vulgar. The Hotel is old and half of it is not being used. The drinks are served in little 5 oz. plastic cups. Showers in the rooms run hot and cold, and the linens on the beds are filthy. There seems to be a sleaze factor at this resort as I met more than one predator. Not a place I will go back to.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for a week, it was amazing. We had a great time, I love how everyone treats you as if they had known you for years, it gives you a feeling of home at paradise. We are planning to go back next year.

the hotel didn't offer half of what they said they would. very little entertainment. they tried to get you to leave the resort every night and go into town for your entertainment. the service was lacking as were the choices in alcoholic beverages. [...] with orbitz/gray line transportation was so rude at the hotel that we opted to forgo our previously paid transportation and take a taxi to the airport so we wouldn't have to deal with him.it wasn't all bad - i wanted to relax and lay by the pool which i did. the quiet pool was very relaxing and most of the food was actually quite good.

Staff was great, fun entertainment, free use of kayaks and sail boats. Not a great beach. A fun resort for couples looking for lots of variety in one resort.

The resort could do with a refurb, chipped tiles etc. My room had no wardrobe and a broken safe, which did not make for the best of stays. The buffet food was good, the al a carte restaurants were all excellent, food and service. As an adults only resort it could get a bit raucous around the "sexy" pool early afternoon! Overall very good, better than the so called 5* hotel I stayed at for my second week!

We are Wisconsin 50ish travellers not prudes but appreciate a clean room, good food, and entertainment. We were at Blue Bay about 15 years ago and it was fun. The new hotel has nice clean rooms, the buffet was fair to good, the special dining rooms were very good but service was quite slow. It got very old so we spent most of our time at the quiet pool. There is a lack of organized activities and the shows were poor and seedy. Be careful it is a time share and they fool you by saying it isnt and its just an orientation and tour of hotel.( they call it membership not time share).

Temptations Resort and Spa was a very average all-inclusive resort. The food wasn’t great, but it wasn’t horrible either. The night time entertainment was seriously lacking in quality and originality. The facilities were relatively clean, and the staff seemed friendly. Our room was dark and small with no frills. This is where the average story ends… READ THIS!!!!! On the last night of our stay at Temptations, our hotel room was robbed. Over $3000 of our belongings were taken, including my husband’s laptop and briefcase, both of our cell phones, my digital camera, cash, his Ipod, and various other quickly convertible valuables. We believe that it was an inside job; the robbery occurred on the only night on which we had made a dinner reservation, and there was no forced entry: all doors were locked, which means that the robber had a key or some other method to get into our room. The management handled the situation very professionally while we were there, promising to compensate us for our losses once their insurance company investigated and compensated them. Our visit was in November, now it is the middle of February. For 2 months now, we have been trying to contact the management at Temptations to get updates on the claim, but they never respond to our inquiries about our belongings and our promised compensation. All of our emails remain unanswered, and our phone calls unreturned. Please stay at a different resort while in Cancun. The manner in which this ordeal has been handled is very unprofessional, and, honestly, very suspicious. We would hate for any other vacationers to be taken advantage of as we were on our recent trip. If you do choose to stay at Temptations, be careful! Don’t trust the staff or the management.

We had a great time. The "sexy" pool was always fun. Very disappointed with the beach. Staff were great. Rooms and restaraunts very clean. The food was good but breakfast and lunch got old after 8 days with only one restaraunt open each day while we were there. Many choices for dinner that were all good. Would recommend if you are wanting a party atmosphere. The pirate ship cruise was a lot of fun.

This was our first time at Temptation and it was a blast! The atmosphere is Zenish. The average age I believe was about 40 which consisted of groups of singles, single men and woman traveling solo, and couples. The "sexy pool" offerd entertainment, upbeat music, games, dance lessons & topless bathing, if this is too much for you to handle then you can always stay at the "quiet pool". If you're big on bathroom privacy the bathrooms in the rooms don't offer it, they are not for the inhibited. The restaurants were excellent, the buffet good. Two disappointments were that no food is allowed at the pool and I would have loved an outdoor hot-tub.The service was excellent. The beach is not the best since there are many boats docked nearby. Not having to worry about the presence of kids and teenagers allows you to let loose and not have to be in parent mode.

This was, without a doubt, one of the best vacations we have ever had!!! DO NOT believe negative reviews - other than the drinks being a little weak, we found all of them to be unfounded. The food was outstanding - breakfast, lunch and dinner. BelleVista was our favorite restaurant, but we enjoyed them all.The service was wonderful and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We had a few minor problems (refrigerator wasn't cooling properly, no alarm clock), but when we called everything was replaced quickly and efficiently. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. They are extremely clean. We watched the housekeepers clean the rooms and they do a great job from top to bottoms! We took our Ipods with books to listen to and things to study - we didn't use any of them. There were so many fun things going on at the "Sexy" pool that we didn't need any other diversions, nor did we have time to study. Yes, you can go topless there, but I can say that the majority of women did not while we were there. It was no big deal either way. Remember, this is adults only. There are some "adult" games around the pool that were mostly hilarious. As long as 4-letter words and sexual inferences don't bother you, you'll have a great time! We met some wonderful people while there from the States, Wales, Canada, Argentina and England. We got e-mail addresses and plan to keep in touch. If I had a complaint, it would be that the mixed drinks were weak, but they were delicious all the same, so it wasn't a major infraction.Yes, you'll be asked to go on a time share presentation while you're there. We've been to many, many time share presentations over the years and never purchased. This is the first place we ever visited that not only sounded good to us, but had a plan that we actually bought. We dealt with [...] and his boss [...].We can't wait to go back!!!!!

My wife and I just returned from Temptations and the worse part of the trip was having to leave. The employees at the resort were extremely friendly and helpful. If yo were hungry, it was your own fault. The reataurants had fantastic service and top notch food. The staff kept you as entertained and occupied as you wanted to be. Couldn't have aked for a better place to kick back and start a new with my wife. We will be returning

I had a blast at this resort. It was fun and relaxing but very adult. The games are adult themed but it's not over the top or anything, just funny stuff. From what I saw of the other resorts this place is one of the best and for sure has some of the best deals going. We are for sure going back!

A fairly good getaway for the price. This is not a first class resort, but if you know that going in you can have a really fun time. Restaurants provide a decent quality meal. Alcohol quality is on the low end, but you can have as much as you want if that's your thing. Overall a good experience for the price. The adult pool is a lot of fun.

Traveled with my wife and 3 other couples, have nothing but good to say about the resort. The food was as good as we have had in our years of traveling. Service was great, people working there were always friendly and hard working. If you are closed minded to a little adult fun this place is not for you,met a ton of nice people from all over the world, who had one thing in common, to have a great adults only vacation. We will definately return....

Not all inclusive. Hounded daily for time share. Beds hard as rocks. No refrigerator in our room per your web site. Not top shelf liquor. Bartenders taking tips to insure prompt service. Sub par food. Horrible would be an improvement to descibe the taste of the food. Whirlpools where cold. WE WANT A REFUND.

Looking for quiet week away. Hotel was organized to keep the heavy partying at one end with the 'Sexy' pool and the tranquil environment at the 'quiet' pool. It was however easy to move around to your mood. Staff was generally excellent and personalized your drinks and your wishes. Drinks were provided if not encouraged at this all-inclusive. Food is generally good to excellent with three white tablecloth restuarants to pick from. Played beach volleyball twice a day of the fifteen activities daily to pick from.About half the women are topless and half are not at any of the pools so no pressure either way. When challenged with the location of our room next to disco, hotel readily moved us to upgrade.Beach on the north side of the Cancun island is not as nice as the long side as the water with more seaweed. Not happy with the Orbitz/Greyline representative, [...], who was only only interested in exclusion bookings and quoted wrong departure time for the pick up to airport.Generally pluses-service, food , entertainment; downside- decor.

Hotel, facilities and grounds attractive and well maintained. Very disappointed to learn upon arrival that this is timeshare hotel owned by "Mr. Cancun", although in presentation "points" was used rather than "timeshare". It "only" cost $** to buy points, receive a different colored bracelet, receive discounts on travel, access to Mr. Cancun's boat (passengers responsible for gas), jet skis, top shelf alcohol, preferred dinner reservations at hotel restaurants, other perks that I tuned out when the high pressure tactics started. Their premise to get you to take presentation is to have a tour of the facilities after breakfast. We had arranged shuttle service to and from airport and vaguely recall employee from shuttle service telling us to skip the tour of the facilities but was exhausted from long day of traveling and hadn't adjusted to the new language. As to dining experience, definitely not 5 star quality or selection and not worth waiting until 9:45 p.m. to dine because earlier times reserved in the event the "points" bracelet people showed up. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. We selected this hotel because it was all adult, all inclusive, and husband enjoyed the 2 adult tv channels plus the tops optional at the pools. As to return to this particular hotel, maybe.
