The hotel is in walking distance to wonderful eating establishments and night life. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at a Greek restaurant less than a block from the hotel. Only four blocks from Arizona State University, the hotel is near all the hot spots in Tempe. Wonderful accomodations and fantastic service, from parking to front desk to cleaning crew!

Location to restaurants and shopping. The overall integrity of the staff. The hotel was great! We reserved a room with 1 king size bed, and after check in we were taken to our room and we found 2 queen size beds. The man that took us to our room called down and told us they had no more king size beds. The lack of responsibility of the staff to tell us we would not receive a king size bed before arriving at our room really frustrated us. Also, we were at this hotel to celebrate a 21st birthday, and the bar at the hotel according to the information booklet did not close until 1am, so we planned on first drinks at the hotel bar. We were approached at 11:30 for last call, and then the bar closed.

Stayed March 26th -28th '09 with our 18 year old son to visit the ASU / Barrett's Honors College. Asked for an upgrade at the front desk & checked in early with no issues. They gave us a room 2nd llor, close to the Pool, overlooking the courtyard, with a partial "French door" that opened to a patio with table & chairs. This wasn't a private patio, but it was a corner that most people don't walk by. Nice! If you go, look up the Concierge, who I can't identify, except that her name was three letters long. They don't get any better than her. She provided beneficial information about services, what to see & her "I can do" attitude is what comes to mind when I think of the hotel. We were awakened Saturday night by loud voices, party going on in a close by room. I called the front desk, they said they'd get security on it & they did as they promised. No more noise was heard within minutes. The computer for printing boarding passes in the lobby was slow to the point of desperation. I consider this an extremely small problem. Close to restaurants, bars, ASU. I would recommend this to my friends & family & I will stay here again.

At 250 a night this place was dissappointing. The rooms are just OK with ancient TVs and no mini-bars. Although the bathroom was technically clean, due to age and wear it did not look clean. This place really caters to onsite conferences, but is not staffed to handle them. Any given night, the place can be packed with loud and drunk conference attendees. No attempt is ever made by management to keep this activity under control. Staff is tolerant of guests but not friendly toward them. Room service was hit or miss but the bar and restaurant were consistently awful. Food always arrived cold and staff seems like they've never done this line of work before. After day 1 we ate out from then on. I never saw a bell hop nor was offered one so I don't think they have them. Valet parking is great during the day, but at night you'll spend more time hunting one down than it would take to park yourself. This didn't bother me, but if you're a light sleeper, know that this place is directly beneath two flight landing paths to PHX. Jet noise is constant, esp on upper floors. Also know that the place is bound on two sides by noisy bars. One is a Hooters and this is a college town, so do the math! Also know that you will always be aware of what is going on or being watched on television in the rooms on both sides of you as the walls are very thin. Their rates plummet in the summer, but during the school year, this is an extremely expensive place to stay with nothing to show for it.

We loved the location of the hotel and all the amenities. The only thing we would have liked were bigger rooms and more counter space in bathroom. The staff were very helpful and professional. Great location in downtown Tempe. Lots shopping and restaurants close by. We are planning to stay at this hotel again in October.

Location - close to everything in Tempe. Remodeling was going on - noisy at times. Great location and good value for the price. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful. Located off the main strip in Tempe (it was located literally around the corner from stores and restaurants). Another big plus . . . free wi-fi!! And when we didn't feel like going out we could go right down stairs to their delicious restaurant. The only draw back about my room is it didn't have a refrigerator. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

First visit to ASU, wanted our soon to be sundevil to have a nice experience. Service was great- very friendly, nice roof top pool, commons areas. Airport shuttle- nice if you don't have a car. Great location across from ASU / Mill Ave rest./ shops. Price is issue- 10 hospitality fee,10 internet fee,13 buffet breakfast was good, pricy for family. Room service for daughters breakfast was 20 - skip that! Nice bar open late if you get thirsty or hungry! Comfy room nicely maintained. Lot's of ASU families/ conference attendees. Great if you can pay the price! Would return if I can save up!

This hotel worked very well for me, a single woman over 60 travelling alone without a car. The rooms are very nicely decorated and there is a lovely courtyard in the center of the property for sitting outside. Since I did not have a car, the shuttle to and from the airport was handy. The light rail stop is only a block away for easy access to quite a few attractions in downtown Phoenix (about 20 minutes to half an hour away). The restaurant is small, but serves a nice meal in the evening. The hotel is walking distance from Arizona State. There are quite a few restaurant choices within walking distance, and I felt comfortable walking in the evening around the hotel. The environment might be a little too lively for me during the academic year, but I visited early in June, when the student population seemed relatively small. The staff is very helpful. Since the hotel is close to the Phoenix Airport, there is some noise from planes landing and taking off. However, I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location, pleasant decor and courtyard, and helpful staff.

Location to ASU. Needs a breakfast for price and micro/fridge. Great location but since it is older it could use some upgrades and more amenities such as a fridge and micro in rooms. And the parking is poor, but then they will valet your car to a garage that we did not know about until the last day. Very clean.

We stayed at this hotel in August and our daughter just stayed there in December. They know customer service. Always helpful in finding things in the area and very professional. Our daughter left her retainers there and they had them in lost and found and fedx it overnight free of charge. Very impressed, would stay there again:)

This hotel far surpassed my expectations in terms of room quality, location and staff responsiveness. Located just minutes from Phoenix SkyHarbor airport and just off the campus of AZ State Univ, it's within easy walking distance of college-style bars, restaurants and shops.

Went 2 ASU baseball game, basketball game & spring training game. Ate, drank, shopped on Mill Street. Valet parking was quick, could also self-park. Temperature was in the low 70's, but able to sunbathe out by the pool area since the pool is somewhat sheltered & made it warmer. Loved the cabana restaurant right by the pool. Beautiful & serene open air lobby.

When we visit our son as ASU, we always stay at the Mission Palms. It's close to campus & gives our son a break from the college apartment life. Wonderful staff, good breakfast, beautiful grounds & who can complain about red geraniums & orange trees in February. The bathrooms could use a little bit of an update soon...but everything else is fantastic. We will be back in April:)

Right in the heart of the river, town activities, nightlife and walking steps to ASU Stadium. The pool, jacuzzi and cabanas are clean, huge and just perfect. The fitness center is nice and modern. The staff were always willing to help guide your interests, give directions or just converse about anything. If going to an ASU game, there is nowhere else you should stay. Enjoy this recommended hotel and spot!

This hotel is great for business trips, although I was on my honeymoon. I do not think this is the best hotel for alonetime with your spouse. The bathroom is just an ordenary restroom. Average tub, one sink, average counter space, and barley enough towels for my wife and I to dry off and for her to put one in her hair. Not even high quality towels. This is just an ordernary hotel, good for business trips.

Upon arriving at Tempe Mission Palms Hotel, we were extremely pleased with the friendly staff and beautiful suroundings. Our room was beautiful, very clean and we had the best sleep in a very long time as our bed was so plush and comfy. The dinig was exquisite, we absolutly loved the breakfast buffet. We were within walking distance to many, many shops restaurants and great nightlife. What a wonderful stay. We will definately return, without question. Thanks Tempe Mission Palms!!!
