The hotel is beautiful, the staff are courteous and friendly, and the rooms are clean and charming. I would love to stay there again. I stayed for four nights with my two sons aged 10 and 21 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Excellent hotel

Nice hotel, they offered me parking for free. The only problem was that my room was noisy because of windows facing to the street. I would recommend this hotel for those who need good location - 5 minutes from Blue Mosque.

Ask for a room that doesn't face the street whenever possible, as it's an old traditional neighbourhood in a narrow cobbled street, so all noises are going to sound twice as loud... it's very close to a small mosque and there's prayer call at 5 am every once in a while. I suggest you take it lightly and with some degree of reverence and humour. Many sales pitches, cars going by and parking, people talking loudly too. But the room was well heated by their reliable system and we ended up opening the window after turning it off, so obviously the noises are louder too. Breakfast is excellent, fresh food in a good variety, good 3 hours in which to go for it and help yourself as many times as you like.Linen changed and room cleaned to perfection everyday, no flaws in hygiene whatsoever. Bed was comfortable and clean, extra linen, blanket and pillows were available. Taxi drivers will most likely not know where the hotel is, if you can remember your way there from the main Sultanahmet square you will be better off. All in all a pleasant stay.

We travelled as a group. Very nice and welcoming staff and people in general in Istanbul. Very good location of the hotel, very close to the Blue Mosque. Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood with very good food and good service. English is not spoken very well but this is largely compensated by the openness and willingness of the people.

Great hotel, fantastic roof-top terrace breakfast area with water views, but location somewhat hard to find, even for local taxi drivers. Paid for a double room but received twin room instead.

Lovely hotel. The staff are extremely welcoming and competent. They offer tours, pick up service from the airports (at any time)etc. Perfectly placed near to the monuments in the old town, in a quiet location. The rooms are clean, spacious and have all facilities. There is a roof garden with a great view, where breakfast is served. Only regret maybe - a restaurant ?

Staying at the Tash Konak was a simply fantastic experience! The rooms were modern and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was exquisite.... All for such a reasonable price... If I ever go to istabul again, this is where I'll be staying!

v central location - v good value for money. Immediate area run down and a bit gloomy after dark but so near to Blue Mosque that we didn't mind. Room was nothing special but was comfortable. Staff welcoming though they wouldn't recommend local restaurants preferring to plug a distant expensive fish restaurant. Breakfast plentiful but not amazing

Friendly staff, great breakfast, comfortable room and a wonderful view from the roof terrace! I would say the only drawback to this place is that it's a bit tricky to find - Tomurcuk Sk. doesn't seem to go directly off Kucuk Aya Sofya Cad. any more... But if you go down Kapiagasi Sk. instead and then turn left into Ogul Sk. and go right to the end you'll end up on Tomurcuk Sk. and you'll see the hotel on your right. And in fact being slightly off the beaten track means it's a quieter and more relaxed area (i.e. no shops to navigate your way past in the immediate vicinity), so it definitely works in its favour!

Tashkonak is a very nice hotel, located around 7 minutes walking from the centre of Sultanahmed, where you find the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofya. The rooms are rather small, but as it is visible from the pictures. The rooms are clean, daily cleaned, and the staff is very helpful. One big plus is the terrace, where they also serve breakfast - you really have a stunning, view there. The only point you need to get used to is the fact that there is a mosquee on the other side of the street - and on the weekends, the muezin calls the believers to the prayers at sunrise (However, if you book a room anywhere in Sultanahmed, you will always be close to a mosquee). Very good experience!

The staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly. The wifi was free and worked flawlessly. Although the breakfast was more than ample, we would have liked a little more variety in the menu after the first few days. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who likes a little "character" in their hotels. The location of the hotel could not have been more convenient to the major sites in the Sultanhamet.

The hotel staff was very friendly and complaisant. The hotel was very clean and the service appropriate. The rooms are tastefully furnished. We can recommend the airport shuttle service. The hotel is near to all touristy sites (5 min-walk to Sultanahmet camii). The breakfast is standard. We really enjoyed our stay in Tashkonak hotel.

It seems to be very close to Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque but it's not, you have to walk round to arribe there. There are other hotels with less stars but better price and similar rooms and service. Nice breakfast in the terrace and beautiful views.

we booked for 3 nights, but the 1st night hotel was full, or they simply did not believe in your reservation because we arrived quite late, so they moved in another hotel of lower quality amd we did not get any discount. Stay in "right" hotel was good...clean but not so quite...room are nice but it could be better for a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is great.

The hotel is well located just 5 minutes walk of the blue mosque, High Zsofia and Topkapi Palace. The Tram 38 takes you the Taksim area, well after crossing the bridge climb the steps to get there. The hotel is located in Sultanamhed is a safe area no risks.
