Run away from this place. The location is okay, but the hotel houses transients. Not only did my first hotel room door not lock, the A/C in he second room they put me in didn't work. [...] the place smelled awful. I didn't feel safe there and not having A/C that worked just wasn't going to cut it in the Florida weather. I left that night to another hotel and with intentions of getting my money back. Such an awful experience. It's such a shame too. Tarpon Springs is a quaint little town with so much to offer. And the greek food is to die for. I suggest staying up the road a little in Dunedin. You will pay a little more, but well worth it if you want to feel safe and comfortable.

One problem with the Tarpon Inn was thatthe electrical cord on the microwave was not long enough to reach the wall socket which was high up on the wall. Solved this delimma by setting the microwave on our ice chest. Nothing was a serious issue but given the price I would have expected better.
