Tar Lodge - Noise issuesShame that theere wasn't any air conditioning in the room or fan. Our room was right by a rather busy road and and railway track. Don't get me wrong, it is a great value hotel, but I would say 4 stars is a little generous due to the noise and no interna air conditioning. Personnaly, I would try somewhere else!

First class accommodation and serviceThe Tara Lodge is excellent and I cannot praise the accommodation and staff highly enough, especially the receptionists who were very welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms were of a very high standard, the breakfast menu was very good and the food lovely. Location was handy for town and very quiet in the evenings, just a pity they don't have a bar and restaurant that would have been the icing on the cake, Would definately stay again and recommend it to friends.

Absolutely FabulousI thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay at Tara Lodge Hotel and would whole heartedly recommend it to other visitors to Belfast. The staff are friendly and helpful; the beds are comfortable and the breakfasts sublime. I was able to walk to the city centre and there is plenty of entertainment nearby without any noise impacting on the hotel itself. I can't wait to visit Belfast again and I will definitely stay at Tara Lodge when I do.

Compared to my previous stay in Belfast at a more expensive hotel, my stay at Tara Lodge was much superior. Everything about it was excellent. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival. Room and bed were very comfortable. Bathroom well equipped and piping hot water at all times. Breakfast scrambled egg was delicious - cooked to order. I will be back!

Fantastic weekendI have just returned from a fantastic weekend in Belfast. Tara Lodge is centrally located, immaculately clean and serves the most amazing breakfasts. The staff were so friendly and able to offer us top advice. The only down side is that are no longer happy to take booking for hen weekends - so i guess i was very lucky to spend my hen weekend at such a fab place!

Awesome Hotel, great location, great staffI think the title says it all... The Tara Lodge is THE place to stay if you want to be in the heart of Belfast! Everything about the place is pefect - the staff, the room was the best I have stayed in and the breakfast is first class! Its one of the smaller hotels I have stayed in but thats a good thing for me cos I dont like crowds! The staff were very polite and very chatty and couldnt do enough for us and the hotel offers WiFi internet connection for FREE which was a great bonus as we'd taken our laptop - so it saved us trying to hunt down a coffee shop!I will be going back to Belfast later in the year to explore Northern Ireland in a little more depth and the Tara Lodge will be my base - simply outstanding hotel!

Brilliant value and quality!Really surprised by quality of rooms in student area of Belfast. Central location to all city centre amenities and friendly staff. Really sorry I couldn't wait for proper breakfast, but they provided a continental breakfast for early start. Will definitely return!

Belfast City BreakAlthough Tara Lodge was a last minute decision it proved to be really great value. Admittedly Queen's University was on an easter recess so probably not as many students as normal making the area reasonably quiet. Our room was clean, spacious and the fittings are all in good working order. The staff at the reception desk and in the breakfast room could nt have beem more friendly. The Lodge is a £3.00 taxi ride or a 20 minute walk from the City Centre where there is great shopping and vibrant nightlife.

Don't be afraid to go to Sandy Row!After having stayed at other bigger hotels in central Belfast, the Tara Lodge proved to be a worthwhile competitor in terms of facilities - and won hands down in the customer service stakes. From the receptionist to the night porter and including the breakfast waiter, everyone was unfailingly helpful and friendly. In terms of the location, it's very convenient for local bars, cafes and restaurants - and the Botanic railway station is handy if you don't want to bother with the easy walk to/from the city. When we return to Belfast we'll be checking the availability of the Tara Lodge first of all.PS: the bus tour out to the Giants Causeway that goes from the youth hostel is just around the corner - and excellent value for money (cheapest rate obtainable by pre-booking online).

Tara Lodge was fantastic! There was no need for the restaurant to serve evening meals as it was so close to loads of amazing restaurants. The room was great, shower was brilliant and we will be staying there again!
