Nice hotel near metro Porte Vincennes (at the end of the street) from where you can get to the city in 15 minutes. Good value for money (in Paris that is). Paid 70 euros for een double room with TV and toilet/shower, including breakfast (coffee/tea/chocolat with orange juice, a croissant and a 'petit pain'). Free WIFI in lobby (signal on 6th floor to weak). Nice cosy elevator (fits two adults without luggage).

One of the best budget hotels I've visited. I had a Superior Single, which was a sufficient size and quite charming. Less than 3 minute walk from a train that takes you to central Paris in less than 10 minutes. Staff was helpful and friendly, and I don't speak any French. Would definitely go back there.

The Hotel is close to Port du Vincennes which is on a major metro route to Bastille, Louvre etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lift is small but no real problem. The room and bathroom were adequate in size. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Nothing of great interest neaby so constantly on the metro to get out and about. I would stay here again.

We have been for four days in Paris and the hotel was just perfect. It´s very close to the metro station and so we were very fast at all of the sightseeings. The staff of the hotel welcomed us very friendly. Our room was not that big and the bathroom was even smaller, but both of them were very clean, cute and we had definetly space enough!!! We recommend this room to all of you without children (because the walls are very thin.)We would definitely go there again!!!

I travelled with mi boyfriend from Bilbao. Our stay in Paris was wonderful. The hotel was nice in general. The rooms were small but pretty. Employees in general were pleasant, (ones more than others......) Then, the location seems a bit complicated but in fact was a quiet area. The surroundings were very nice. There were a lot of typical Paris bars with their terraces, fantastic! The first nigth we ate pizza in "Marco Polo" restaurant, ummmmmmmm.....really good, I recommend you. One of the most important point was that the metro was 5 minutes away the hotel. We took it at the station Port de Vincenes and in 10 minutes we were in the town centre, so... a very handy way. I think that`s all about Tamaris hotel and its surroundings. I hope the information is valid for you. Bye bye! Till next time!

Hi, I really liked this hotel. It is just 2 mins away from the Metro, and all other public areas. Very good transaportation near by. Good quality for very reasonable price.

Had a great stay, typical budget accommodation, stayed in probably the smallest double room in the hotel, but clean! try to upgrade to superior if you have the chance! Hotel is very close to metro, 10 minutes to city!

We stayed for a long weekend and chose the hotel as it was near to where our friends live. It was clean and comfortable, and although the road was noisy each morning (there is a market nearby so there are lots of trucks and bin lorries) it was fine for a budget stay. You could always ask for a room at the back if you are not a morning person!

Small tripple room. Old furnature. Dusty. On our day of checkout, they seemed to be starting to renovate the rooms. Parking in street legally impossible for tourists (only 2 hours allowed), but practically hotelstaff garded my car in front of the hotel. Metro station nearby.

Perfect location near bus and metro. Easy to get from/to airport (bus just around the corner) A perfect hotel if you want to see as much of possible of Paris and only need a place to sleep.

At first we got a very small room, although I bookes a double superior, and in the next room we found a very small bed, that caused us some problems.I did not sleep very well.

For the price, off course, you cannot expect nothing special. The hotel is old and the bed was terrible. Anyway my judgment is positive because is really near to the metro. For the breakfast I strongly recommend to go to McDconald (about 200 metres from the hotel, near to the metro station)! With a better room our weekend could be more romantic :) but, at least, was cheaper. Bye bye

The staff was kind & great help. Small lift, nice location of hotel to la metro & buses. Food stores, cafe',bars close at hand. I would stay here on my next trip again. We would pay the extra for a deluxe room. Again the staff is the best.

My overriding concern is WiFi in the rooms: I stay connected to the internet on my laptop. Connection in my 1st-floor room was always weak and dropped frequently, but a router reset was only needed once during my 7 nights. Use their password to access the system; you're good to go after that. The rooms: I was one floor up from the reception. Room with a double bed was spacious. Wash basin and bidet in the room, toilet down the hall. I made do, because I found *no* shower on the floor at all. I never asked, and maybe there were showers elsewhere, but I checked this floor and the floor above: nothing. The staff was friendly, speaks English, and the service was OK. My bed was made daily, but the linen was changed only once (after 5 days). I did not ask for more, true. I also did not get a new towel daily. The phone: I needed to ask for an outside line every time I wanted to call. I called out once a day, so that was interesting. BUT I had no problem in reaching a 0800 number to access a cheap call provider for calls to the USA. No charges from the hotel, as is correct. (Some hotels block access to 0800 numbers.) For the price, EUR36/n when booked in Sep 2006, I was happy to try the hotel. I think that's gone up to EUR40 for the most basic room: I'm going back to my usual place in the 14e for only EUR3 more per night (EUR43). The location is terrific. I go to Paris for theater/opera/classical music. Hotel is on metro line 1: 4 stops from the Bastille, 7 stops from Chatelet, and so on. You could hardly do better. Yes, buses that have their terminus across the street, and if you face the street, that could be noisy early in the morning: the answer is EARPLUGS! The room walls are thin: typical of hotels in this price range. Elevator tiny, but amazingly quiet. Did not try breakfast: EUR6 is too much. Get groceries at "Ed" across the avenue and a coffee at the corner and you're on your way for the day!

It was a nice hotel, employees are kind and friendly. There is no shower booth in the room but they offered us different room's shower.
