This was my first all inclusive,.. but if the tamarijn is any indicator of how it should be,.. I loved it. This resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the food and drink was good, and i will be going back for sure. I have been to 3 other carribean islands, by far i loved Aruba the best. for the price we paid,... i think it's one heck of a deal, especially if two people are splitting it.

First I would like to say I won't be back. Horrible service from the staff. The staff is rude, and constanly on thier cell phones. If your an american and plan on making a trip forget about getting served at the bar. Regardless of what bar tender was working, the made sure that everyone was severed before the americans. The Beach was great. The food was great as well, anytime your hungry you can get a bite to eat. The first night our room wasn't even cleaned. Beware if you plan on going here.

We have stayed at the Tamarijn last year 2007 and this year. We can not wait to go back next year. The resort is older than the new highrises that are built but, you open your slider and you are on the beach. There are only two levels to each building of rooms so you are either directly on beach or directly above looking at the beach. The rooms are clean as well as the resort. The staff are extremely friendly and most have worked at the resort for years (which shows you that they like there job and makes your vacation more pleasant). We had gotten friendly with staff members last year and it was great to see them again this year. We reccomend this resort highly and have recommended it already.

Just returned from 7 wonderful days at the Tam! I loved the Tam as we could also walk over to the Divi and hang out at the outdoor bars, pools and have meals there. I recommend the Red Parrot as it was our favorite! The Paparazzi Italian place at the Tamarijn was excellent except that the service was sooooo slow! The food was great though....I recommend the risotto - the best I've ever had! The rooms were small but soooo clean. My only complaint was I E-mailed the Tam 3 times prior to arrival to request a first floor king room, and we recv'd a second floor with balcony with 2 queens. Didn't matter much to us though because we were only in our room to sleep and shower....the rest of the time we were outside enjoying the beautiful weather! Everyone was really nice and helpful. You can plan ALL of your activities, including renting a car or jeep for a day right there at the resort. We can't wait to go back next year! Don't expect a 4 or 5 star resort...it is definitely 3 stars but the beaches, food, drinks, concierge and housekeeping can't be beat! Nathy the concierge was the MOST helpful person I have ever encountered at a resort.

The Tamarijn is everything a true beach resort should be. Accommedations are simple but RIGHT on the beach. The guests are a nice mix of couples, families, and groups of friends from all age groups. The mix adds a nice measure of civilty to the overall ambiance of the Tamarijn. The restaurants (whether full service or buffet) offer delectible and satisfying meals. The privelage of having access to tamarijn's sister resort is a wonderful bonus.Located minutes from the city and the more crowded high rise resorts, you won't miss a bit of what Aruba has to offer. If your in your teens or early twenties with a taste for spring break like debauchery, this place ain't for you. If you must have extravagent rooms with plasma screen TVs and so on, this resort is probably not for you. When I first arrived, I found myself comparing this humble resort to the high rise hotels and felt it lacked in luxury, BUT, as the days passed I found myself with falling in love with the Tamarijn. I felt like the beach belonged to me, I ate like a king, drank like a pirate and slept like a child. I almost DON'T want to write a good revue just to keep the Tamarijn my beautiful little secret.

We loved the Tam, and are planning a trip back in June! Food at restaurants very good, we made reservations every night with no problems. Great drinks, not watered down. Great kids activities, lots of free stuff given away for games, etc. We came home with wine, champagne, t-shirts, etc. Our teen kids loved the late night pizzas, ice cream and sandwiches. We loved the bars and the beach. Rooms are average size, clean and right on beach. We were in 2300 building, we walked to wider beach further down. Casino was a fun diversion in the evenings, and we did take the bus downtown for shopping one day, very cheap. Best all-inclusive we have ever been to, and it is truly all-inclusive. They don't ask for add'l tips, etc. Food is very good at sit-downs. Our favorite was Paparazzi (service is slow though). Where else can you get steaks, lobster, shrimp, etc with a glass of wine in a lovely restaurant all-inclusive? Stay here, you won't regret it. And the kids are FREE!

The Tamarijn was spread out and had plenty of things to do. The room we stated in had a king size bed, desk with satellite tv, two chairs with stand, standing dresser with drawers or place to hang clothes, with small refrigerator in bottom, and nice bathroom. Everything not motorized activities were free to use. The Tamarijn rooms were the best views any where. You could walk out on balcony and see the ocean. On first floor you could walk out back door and be on the beach. Depending on room location you could swim right out your door or very short walk and be swimming in minutes. There was the boardwalk or the back side side walks to get to rooms from lobby and restaurants. You was within walking distance to downtown or could take cab or bus to tours. Front desk had a place you could sign up for tours or reserve reservations for the restaurants.

Wonderful time. Just got back last night and am ready to go back again. Our experience was great from start to finish. Only one complaint, the beach became very dirty from a couple of night storms that blew through and as soon as that was brought to the attention of the management it was taken care of. Ocean front room and walk right out of our door onto the beach. The food for an all inclusive was excellent! We up-graded so we could use the facilities at the Divi and it was worth the little extra. Top shelf booze was a great, unexpected bonus as we are Dewars fans. All of the staf were friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel. I think the beach area at the Divi is really nicer than the Tam.....wider and less rocks. Can't go wrong at either place. We loved every minute of our stay! RC

friendly staff, variety of atomospheres make for an excellent vacation. Once you check in the only thing left for you to do is enjoy yourself. Oranjestad is lovely and there are several nicerestaurants where you can eat, but the beauty of the Tamarijn is you can travel around all day,and come to the restaurants at the resort and enjoy all your meals and beverages. All meals atthe resort are excellent. I look forward to many more vacations there.

The Tamarijn has recently been enhanced with new furniture, additional restaraunts and even new air conditioners since I was there last year at the same time. My only complaint is the internet room which seems to constantly have slow response from its service; and log-on failures. The support for the room comes from an outside service is off-site and the desk staff seems to not know how to respond except to say try it again in a halr-hour and it should work. It usually does; but doesn't explain why the response time of the internet is so slow. Other than that, it is a terrific location and the most economical option for a family.

The Tamarijn is a great hotel. This was my third visit to Aruba and we've stayed here each time. The staff is very friendly. The location is perfect. There is nothing like walking out of your sliding door onto the beach. The views were great. There was never a need to leave the grounds of the Tamarijn or the Divi but when we did, it was only a short cab or bus ride away. My only complaints was the ocean right in front of my room was very rocky, but just a short walk up the beach it was fine. I will stay here again next year.

The Tamarijn was a very comfortable place to stay. The rooms were not fancy but they were clean and functional. The location of the room was the best feature -- you walk out your patio door and you are on the beautiful beach. The all-inclusive package was the same as the room -- nothing fancy but the food was good and plentiful. Some of the things on the buffets weren't great but there was always something there that I could eat...and the staff kept all the eating areas (and everywhere else) extremely clean.

The room we stayed in was on the lower level 1900 block. We had a patio that you walked right out to the beach! Close to the bunker bar and not too far from the main bar and restaurant area. Staff very friendly, had a great time. The rooms are fair but comfortable. They had a small fridge but no coffee pot. Best vacation we ever had!

Everyone was very friendly. The food was good. The clerks at the desk was always nice and helpful. We will probably return in a few years. We had asked for a room next to our friends and this we did receive. I would suggest that that add more beach chairs and huts to sit under as the sun is too hot not to be under a hut. We did have trouble finding a place to sit under a hut and usually it wasn't near our room. They helped us get a taxi when we needed one. All in all we had a good vacation.

Every room at the Tamarajin is RIGHT on the beach - you can see and hear the ocean just steps outside your door. The beach was gorgeous and clean. The rooms were so-so, but make sure you ask for one that is centrally located, otherwise you may have to walk 20 minutes to get to any food or activities. The food was great, a lot of variety and good quality. Drinks were great, too - especially for an all inclusive resort. They have all top shelf liquor available and even the wine isn't bad. The only reason we found to walk over there was to eat at one of the sit-down restaurants, teh Red Parrot, and that wasn't worth the cost to include both resorts.
