The location was perfect for restaurants and nightlife and the sites. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. And I don't know where the complaints about noise are coming from.

Located just south of the royal mile and a few minutes from Edinburgh Castle. The hotel pub open till 01.00. Good hotel for a citytrip to Edinburgh.

Although the bars and music were obviously very popular they were not our taste in music (age range 30-60) had there been a room with a good mix of music where you could have a dance eg: the Loft we would have come back to the hotel for a good boogie each night.

As the hotel has a large nightclub/outdoor bar area, it is noisy until the early hours of the morning. It is more suited to young revellers, i.e. hen/stag parties than families or couples looking for a relaxing break. The bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped but the breakfast room is basic and the decor and carpets could do with being replaced. value for money if you can live with the noise.

Our room was tired and scruffy. The blind was broken and just jammed in the window frame, there was a hole in the wall and the mattress was very worn. Having said that the staff were friendly and the breakfast was really good. And of course the 3 Sisters Pub is a riot!
