Great location. Great views. Friendly staff. Close to bus route. Had to pay to use fitness facility. Seriously? Gorgeous. Friendly staff. Nice bar/restaurant on site. Close to bus line which made it easy to ride back and forth to a class at a different place. Huge value for the priceI paid. Would stay again. Room was huge. View was wonderful. Umbrella in the room to protect from Chicago rain. First class. Just know the fitness room costs $15/day to use.

The Swissotel is fantastic. It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The views are wonderful and the location is grand too. I highly recommend you try a stay at this fine place.

Excellent staff, location next to Mag Mile. Great views. Walk to Navy Pier (15 minutes), Mag Mile 5 minutes. Millennium park 5 minutes. Very modern. Park in the Millennium park parking and forget you have a car for rest of your stay.

I chose the Swissotel because of the location, but when we checked in, I was told I had to pay extra for a room with a view of either Grant Park or the Navy Pier. Also, the hotel charges you $$ for moving the items in the mini-fridge enven if you do not use those items.

Our stay at the Swiss Hotel, Chicago, was fantastic. First time we have stayed there and it certainly won't be our last. Service excellent, facilities neat and comfy and location perfect. Glad we chose the Swiss!!!!!

I stayed from friday to sunday. I got lucky since my room was on the corner overlooking the lake. The room was excellent. Very thing of interest in downtown Chicago is within walking distance. If I ever go back, this is were I'll stay.

Hotel was beautiful and very stylish! it was in a great location (next door to the Hyatt)...michigan ave was just a couple minutes away. Loved, Loved, Loved the hotel!!!

great location, really nice room, andvery kind staff. Price of parking (I had a rental car). Close to Lake Shore and Navy Pier. Easy walk to Millennium Park or walk along the river or Michigan Ave. Room had view of the river and was very spacious and comfortable. Also had outstanding workout room on top floor. I've stayed in many hotels in Chicago, this was the best!

My two best friends and I were looking for a place to stay in Chicago. This was the first time we had ever been. Swissotel was wonderful. It was convenient to everything, Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, Millenium Park, John Hancock tower. The staff could not have been nicer, the concierge suggested restaurants for us, since we had never been to Chicago. The front desk was quick, efficient and made our stay very enjoyable. The views were amazing. The entire staff is dedicated to customer service, and every one of them exceeded our expectations. When we had first checked in we had a mix up with the type of room that we had booked. I thought I had booked a room with 2 queen beds, when in fact all they have are double beds. The Director of Front Office operations fixed it immediately, and we ended up with a wonderful suite with a view of Millenium Park. We had a great time, and will most certainly be back! They do offer an airport shuttle to O'Hare, which we found very helpful when we were flying out. There is a cost attached to this, as it is run by indepents and is not part of the hotel package. The cost varies on the number of people in your party, but was just as much, if not less than it would have costed to take a taxi. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this area. The hotel seemed to be very family friendly as well. The atmosphere was comfortable and accomodating to all types of travelers. The rooms were spotless, and the beds were comfortable.

first of all check in is at three pm and three hours later no room. go back to service desk and still have no room for us then ok three hours later no room. so the first six hours we waited in the lobby with oh i forgot a compently beer or soda. great huh and just im sorry oh yeah for get i miss out on some of or six hour of my overnight trip because why oh yeah i was in the lobby trying to get my rm i paid for to chk in at three oh i forgot i got free breafast for six hour wait in the lobby that piss me off first time in chicago i spent six hours in ur lobby beautiful. will never go back to this hotel. oh yeah hotel is very goodlooking on line and in person the service is just not great at ALL!

Didn't really stay at the hotel but we were not impressed with the restaurant choices the hotel offered and the parking rate was $52 for in/out privileges per day. There are other lots that do offer overnight parking for $26 - $30 within a short walking distance to the hotel. Staff was helpful and elevators seem to be slower than normal for a hotel that size. The hotel does have a complete fitness and pool area. No complaints there.

The room was spacious and we had a great view. Very clean rooms. Just make sure you bring your own snacks so you are not tempted to get into the snack bar. We brought our own cooler with refreshments thankfully since the refrigerator in the room was only for the mini-bar and we could not use it.. If your not concerned about price this is a great hotel. The entire staff was very courteous. We found a great restaurant just down the street called Houlihans and found out that we could get there without walking through the pouring rain. There is an underground walkway which helped alot on the weekend we were there because it rained for 3 days. Close to navy Pier and many other attractions. Highly recommended.

It's Chicago - so be ready to pay for everything, I mean EVERRYTHING - my surprise when I was asked for 10 for the exerize area! (49 per day for parking, 25 for breakfast) but if you can afford it - the stay is FANTASTIC!

I called the day before check in to confirm my reservation. The hotel told me they had my reservation but that it was not for 2 beds. We had 4 people so this was not going to work. They told me they were all sold out of double rooms and they couldn't help me. I then called Orbitz, as we booked with them, and the worker from Orbitz called the hotel and was able to get us the double room that we requested. Once we got there, they were very friendly and accomodating. The hotel itself was beautiful. We had a great view of Navy Pier and the lake. The beds are GREAT!!! The only thing we didn't like was that there appeared to only be a couple of the elevators working and there was always a long line and wait to get on the elevator. Luckily we were staying on the 3rd floor so it was not an issue for us to take the stairs. I would stay there again.

Clean, friendly, well appointed. Small lounge, no free wifi. This is a nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was well appointed. There is a Palm restaurant attached to the lobby which is very nice. The lounge area is very small and they had an event each night I was there, so just trying to grab a quick drink at the end of the day was difficult and there was no place to sit. They did try to up sell me to a better view, I declined and the room and view were both fine. Parking is $52 a night which is on par with the area the valets were very good. I hate having to pay for Internet service and it's $9.95 a day here. Charge me more for the room but don't charge me for Internet service when it's free at the cheapest hotels across the country and anyplace that serves coffee. Overall a nice hotel. Better than average, but by no means the nicest place I've ever stayed.

The hotel was okay, not great. I felt they were lacking on the amenities. When I checked the hotel out on the internet it sounded as if they had quite a few amenities but I did not feel that way once I was actually there. Hotel staff was pretty nice. The location was a little too far from the hustle of the downtown life in my opinion. Of course, it rained 8 inches when we were there and did not get to see much.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel because of the rating. We were excited to see a beautiful lobby and entrance area. However, we were disappointed the second we stepped in the room and saw the beds. They were practically on the floor and uncomfortable. The carpet was nasty and dirty. The bathroom was nicely designed however there was dust over the vanity in the light grid. The funiture was dusty as well. Front desk was not friendly at all. The only positive to this hotel is the view. I will not stay here again.
