Secluded in the woodsy district of downtown Talkeetna, the Swiss Alaska Inn Talkeetna is often function as a base camp for Denali adventurers. The hotel is close to the public boat launch which is just beside the lodge.

With a total of 20 units, each room has a DVD-player and TV-screen. All rooms are equipped with a private bath with a tub/shower combination. All rooms are non-smoking. The hotel also offers wifi internet access in all rooms. Two rooms have king-size beds and Jacuzzi type tubs and two rooms that are wheelchair accessible.

The Swiss Alaska Inn Talkeetna specializes in Alaskan and Swiss specialties. Amenities for a total Alaskan experience are available. Facilities include a rustic restaurant which serves American meal plus a few German dishes, a bar and a courtesy car to railroad station.

What are your breakfast options?: We have a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu at our restaurant, which is located on the premises. The restaurant and lounge are open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm during the summer season.
What traveller type is most suited?: The hotel is suitable for tourists, couples, singles and families.
What transport is available to get around?: Talkeetna offers everything from sightseeing by plane or jetboat, horsebacking riding, fishing, and walking tours. If you are arriving by Alaska Railroad please be aware that the train station is about a mile from our lodge and Main Street. Ask the station manager to give us a call when you arrive in Talkeetna and we will come and pick you up and bring you to the lodge. When you depart we will make sure that we transport you to the train in plenty of time.
What can I do nearby?: We have a historic district and museums. We have eateries galore, gift shops, artist’s co-ops, and a daily showing of the Don Sheldon story (a well known bush pilot from the area).
Do you provide parking?: There is parking available on this property; either for a bus or for cars.
How do I get there?: We are located in Talkeetna next to the Talkeetna River Boat Launch. We are surrounded by forest in a rustic and quiet setting; however we are five minutes away from Main Street Talkeetna, either by walking or driving.

At mile 99 of the George Parks Hwy take a right onto the Talkeetna Spur Road. If you are coming from Anchorage, or take a left if you are coming from Fairbanks or DenaliPark. There is a visitor center and a tall wooden bear on one side of the spur road, and a large gas station of the other side. Drive 14 miles to the town of Talkeetna, and as you pass the elementary school and the fire department take the next right onto 2nd street. Cross over the railroad tracks and turn left onto F Street. Come two blocks and the Swiss Alaska is on the left.
