It's the first time I visit vancouver. The hotel has nice outlooking and conveint location. The room is elegant-decorated and I feel peaceful atmosphere. but I think the facility lacking hot boiling water when a customer come, we must call the waiter to send it. and I dont like the dessert put in my room for several days. The counter miscount my bill.I ask my travel agent and then ask the hotel return money to me. there is no parking fee in fact, but they charge it, finally the manager refund the money.

I have been staying across the street at Sheraton. Never again, Sutton Place was warm and comforting compared to cold and corporate at Sheraton.

This is a very high class hotel with 2 concierges on duty. Nothing to say. This is an excellent hotel in the heart of Vancouver about a mile from Stanley Park. We rented a tandem bike one morning and toured most of Vancouver. This hotel is a five star hotel!

We stayed here celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. The hotel is right in the heart of Vancouver. We spent a week here and found it great for easy access to anywhere in Vancouver. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant food and service were equal to that of any of the fine restaurants in the area we visited, and there were plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. In the hotel restaurant, our server gave us a wonderful dessert sampler on a plate decorated with "Happy 35th Anniversary." In fact we received another special plate in our room on our actual anniversary. I had a massage in the Spa, which was one of the best I've ever had. The fitness room was on par with other hotels we've been to. We didn't visit the pool area. We were on the 17th floor with beautiful views of the city. We had a king room that was nicely furnished and decorated, and we found it to be very quiet. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable. I liked the separate tub and shower in the bathroom. Highly recommended!

When we arrived at the Sutton we were told because we booked through travelocity we could not have a king size bed we would have to take to twin beds and we were told we should not have booked through travel website. My wife and I were very disappointed by this and it made it very inconvenient for us to sleep in separate beds kind of takes the romance out of it. For being a 5 star or even 4 star hotel. I've had more accomidating front desk at Motel 6. We did not feel welcome there from that point on. The concierge were excellent and the house keeping were nice just a real bummer they don't like Travel or online booking. For what they charge find someone who wants your business.

The room size is okay for a suite. The bathroom is kinda old. The location of our room is not good at all. It faces the back alley of some buildings and the main street, so at night when we were about to sleep, it was really noisy due to the downtown party crowd.

Location, ambiance, professional, friendly service. Slow check out. Required more staff on reception. Sutton place Vancouver is an elegant and refined hotel in a great location. Staffis most professional, yet friendly. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Bathrooms are great. Views are excellent. I would definitely return in a heartbeat.

First of all I really dont know how any one can bash this place like a number of people have on this site. If they can find a better hotel, they are welcom to it!!! This is an excellent hotel, with great, classic style rooms. Service was first rate and the dining room for breakfast was first class all the way. Situated in an excellent area of Downtown Vancouver which is accessable to most great restaurants, shopping, etc, etc. I cant wait to stay here again. the fitness room was a little cramped, but that is a minor issue here.

I commented to my wife about the bed being too firm after our first night. She mentioned it to the front desk on her way to the pool that morning. Housekeeping were right on it to fix the problem with an extra padding on our mattress. Problem was solved quickly and efficiently Everything about our stay was perfect. The staff, room, pool...everything.

The downtown location and being close to lots of walkable shops. Room seemed to be a little out dated.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The rooms were clean, spacious and provided a great view of downtown Vancouver. The staff were all very courteous and incredibly helpful. The beds were comfortable, although I can't say I liked the fabric that they used on the comforters. The water pressure was also slightly lacking in the showers, but this was only a minor inconvenience considering how great the rest of my experience was. Prices are a little steep on the minibar, room service, etc., but this is no surprise considering that it's a 5-star hotel. The restaurant and bar downstairs are an added bonus, as is the currency exchange service offered at the front desk. Overall, I would rate my experience as a 9.5 out of 10.

Hotel is in a great location one block away from Robson Street. There are many cafes as well as many places to eat and shop. The hotel room is very clean and lobby is immalculate. Staff can be overly friendly bordering on being ingratiating ~ take it as that. The people frequenting the hotel appear to be older with money. I felt a little under dressed with my jeans in the lobby ~ probably because I am American. The chocolate buffet is to die for. It is a must try and experience for the chocoholic for $27CAD. The one thing I did not like was the $30CAD a day for parking, even for self-park. But, you stay at an upscale place there are costs.

Great location to Downtown. Rooms were a little small. Great location, friendly staff, easy checkin/out routine. Definitely a recommended hotel and a fun place to stay.

Stayed there in April for a conference. They are extremely well located, with good, clean rooms, and quality service. I truly enjoyed my stay there and would book the hotel again in a heartbeat!

Hotel is one of the best in the city. Its centrally located. The staff is incredible - from the maids to the concierge. The martinis are too expensive (15 dollars) but they weren't bad.

Excellent value for spacious one bed room suite for family of four. A king size bed in the bedroom and queen size bed in the living room for kids. Everything was great except dust everywhere in the room.

We stayed for a two night anniversary getaway in mid-January and chose this place as a place to be spoiled. Though there was some of that, it also had some small issues that bothered us. First the good, and there is lots. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown just steps from cool shopping, a movie theatre, great restaurants, the skytrain, and a million things to do. The staff upgraded us immediately to an executive suite which had lots of space and a bathroom with a seperate shower and tub, the hotel is elegant, the people bend over backwards to make us feel nice and you may see a celebity or two. On the downside, the housekeeping staff was not as great, once barging into the room with only the briefist of knocks and our beds bottom sheet was too short and my feet scraped against the mattres all night (the hotel took care of that by night two). We went to the Chocoholics Buffet and it was OK at best, and the coffee/Tea does not come with it! (each was another 4.50!). Finally, the pool/Hot tub were being repaired (One of the reasons we came here) and they told us that we had to walk two blocks to the Sheraton (it was 28 degrees!) Still, for the right price, I would gladly stay here again, but the 200 per night seemed a bit much for what we got. The Sharaton, Hyatt, and Fairmont are all nearby, so there are other options, but this palce was very nice.

Everyone we came in contact with was very professional and pleasant. The front desk greeted us as soon as we entered and that process went smoothly. We did not rent a car. Everything was walking distance. We did rent bicycles (to do Stanley Park). You have many options to do side trips and the concierge will help you there. We did not dine at the restaurant. A ton of eateries lie outside the door and we had great meals there. Recommend!

Staff at reservation desk and the staff at concierges desk were outstanding. I enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The price was very reasonable for the high quality of the hotel and hotel staff. The staff was extremely attentive to our needs.
