It was the period for McGill new student moving in, and hotel was booked. We checked in on August 23rd Sunday and out on 24th August, Monday. During check-in, receptionist told us that they need a $50 deposit just in case furniture or items damaged are removed(stolen)or from the room. We found that the credit card was charged with $50 by the hotel on August 27th. Nothing was damaged and/or removed. So I considered that either a mistake or a mishap by the hotel. I shall go after the hotel to recover the money but am now raising an alert.
