The room was very lovely and comfortable. I loved the pink (mauve) sheets! Something different from the usual white. Everything was very clean and the decor I thought was pretty. Plenty of room. Breakfast was great, although the coffee ran out at one point. We didn't try the pool but it looked nice. I liked the location because it was off the main drag and so much quieter that way, but still close enough to everything else we needed.

The front desk clerk was wonderful! Friendly! The heater was possessed. We had to turn it off! Loved the people running the hotel! Very nice. The heater, though, made horrible noises. With it snowing outside and very cold, we had to shut it off because we thought it was going to blow up!

This was the second time we have stayed here, and we will probably stay here again. But we will make sure we have a different room location. We were on the second floor almost directly above the entrance to the hotel. The employees had smoking breaks right outside the entrance, and the smoke kept coming into our room. One of them had the worst smelling cigarettes I ever encountered! I have two small boys, and this was a major problem. It changed our non-smoking room into a smoking room for sure! The pool is nice and warm and everything else was a good experience. It is right off the tollway, but not along the main streets.

The location was ok. Room was clean. Only sweets for breakfast no fruit. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Card key did not work on side door closest to room and I had to keep going in through front lobby which was inconvenient.

not a bad motel for the money....pool wasn't open so they gave us a discount. People in the room next to us had their room door left open by the maids....not a reassuring thought. Good breakfast...staff accomodating to needs. Room could have been a little cleaner, looked like bathroom floor hadn't been swept completely.

this super 8 motel was very clean, the location perfect to attend notre dame football games. i will stay here from now on. easy off and on the toll road also.

Friendly staff. Friendly staff, clean and hot waffles for breakfast. Quiet even though it is close to highway. Nice place to stay. Hotel is new and off the beaten path.

The night staff lacked customer service and response to major issues! We had a plumbing issue with our toilet the first night. The night staff person told us he was not maintanence crew nor was he house keeping... He handed us a plunger and a bucket. He did not give us extra towels for our showers since we had used ours to stop the water from spreading while we went to pick up our maintance supplies [said plunger & bucket] ourselves. He insult me 23 year old son when he went back down to get more towels for our showers! I did report this the next morning to the person at the check out desk. Nothing was done about it to my knowledge. The day staff was friendly. One of our beds was never made in our 3 night stay...

The Super 8-South Bend was very comfortable. It is budget priced, so there are no amenities like valet parking or an extravagant lobby. However, it was very clean and inviting. There is a small area for a free continental breakfast (2 cereals, fresh waffles, bagels, pastries, juice, hot tea, coffee). The staff was very nice There was a guest laundry on my floor (coin-operated washer and dryer)and a coin-operated machine for laundry detergent. The closet area (no doors) was small but there were about 10 wooden hangers. There are no suitcase racks but a desk and dresser that served the purpose. Although the info on the internet said the pool was under renovation, it was already complete when we arrived. The hotel is rather out-of-the-way; it's in a somewhat industrial area, but I felt completely safe. The location is about 15 minutes from Holy Cross/Saint Mary's/Notre Dame, and about 8 minutes from a Super Wal-Mart, a major grocery store, other stores and banks.
