It was a very nice hotel, clean and friendly service
Date of Stay:

Room was very roomy and clean, all essential appliances were there.

Excellent service by the desk clerks, and an especially great breakfast included un the price! Hot make-to-order waffles, sausage over biscuits, and complete line of additional treats. We liked it so well on our firts stay that we stopped again on the return trip!
Date of Stay:
March, 2008
Our stay here was awful. When we first got in the room the toilet overflowed and when housekeeping was called all they did was clean the water up with towels. They used no cleaners of any kind. When we took showers, the tub did not drain. There also was hair on our sheets. When we got back to the hotel at the end of the day, all doors to the outside were supposed to be locked but they remained open. We definitely will not be staying at this hotel again.

I stayed here for a evening while atteding a football clinic in Michigain. It was very nice. In a small town with lots of amish shops. If I took my wife along I'm sure we would have spent time at the shops. The super 8 itself was clean and quiet with a nice breakfast of Biscuits and gravey to start the day Next year for this clinic I will stay here again

Cheapest in town. Too small of room for their nice continental breakfast.
Date of Stay:

Had to ask for extra pillows. Given only two towels, two hand towels, and two washclothes. No pool, exercise room, or restaurant. Staff was very friendly.

Breakfast was good, hotel staff were very courteous. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room, TV choices limited.
Date of Stay:
December, 2008
Location was ideal and the price was very good. Hot food items for breakfast were cold. Was ideal for our weekend needs. Thought it was very clean considering the age of the property. Since it was so inexpensive compared to other local motels we questioned how nice it would actually be. We were pleasantly surprised.
Date of Stay:

Had refrigerator, microwave and good breakfast. Rooms were small. Stayed one night comfortable, clean and friendly.

Breakfast was included which was larger than most. The hotel was right next door to a gas station which made it noisy. The hotel was very close to our destination which made it a good choice. The breakfast they serve is quite large with many choices even for the picky eater. The hotel was clean, though a bit old and in need of some updating.
Date of Stay:

Convenient and great for the price. Beakfast room was too small, not enough tables and chairs. Great location, great value, clean rooms, good service.
Date of Stay:
August, 2008
The staff was friendly and helpful the free breakfast was much more than just muffins. That we were in a Non-Smoking room, but could smell smoke in our room from other guests. It would be great if the entire hotel was non-smoking similar to Ohio. As we were woke up in the middle of the night due to the smell of cigarette smoke.

Convenient to the flea market. The bed. It was very uncomfortable. When one person moved, the other person bounced. To start off with, I checked in early in afternoon. They gave us a second floor room. I have a hard time going up stairs no elevator. Day 1 I had to make 3 trips back down the stairs, because the key would not work. Made 2 trips down the stairs on the 2 second day. The was dirty the whole time we were there. No hairdryer in the room till after we complained about it. Needless to say we will not stay at the Super 8 motel in Shipshewana again.

I have stayed in these hotels before and were terrible, this one was excellent very clean. Pillow were too big. We like flat pillows. This hotel was excellent. Very clean, good breakfast, very friendly.
Date of Stay:
June, 2008
Local to attractions. The facility was in good shape for what I consider an older one. Very centally located as far as main attractions. Good breakfast bar. Very hospitiable employees.

Location. Overpriced, very uncomfortable beds, no choice in rooms. Staff was friendly, while waiting others had issues with the bookings of their room, not a good hotel for seniors because of no elevator and stairs were not convenient for us. I would not recommend the hotel for seniors, pets were allowed with permission. I disagree, unless I it a service dog.

I was amazed at how clean everything was and the employees were very friendly and willing to help. Early in the morning as other people were coming and going the slamming of their doors woke me up every morning. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and was very pleased at how big the room was and how clean everything was. I would recommend it for anyone traveling to this part of the country.
Date of Stay:

Breakfast setup was good. The room we had, had a latch broken/they use stick to lock window. Then when wind blew it whistled. Bathroom/ hair blower was about to fall off wall.
Date of Stay:
November, 2007
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The bed was a spring mattress and hard. I found it painful to sleep on. Their was a reclining chair in the room that was broken.
