Centrally located. About 30 mins from Mt Rushmore. The room was quite small. But, I guess, I asked for the most basic type. They had wireless internet. The continental breakfast was ok. Overall - good value for money. Lots of places to eat close to the hotel.

The desk clerk assured me that there was a refrigerator and microwave but that was not the case. Housekeeping took the wash cloths and did not replace.

After a long drive from home we arrived late, tired, and hungry to the hotel. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful over and above her duty. She gave us maps of the area, mentioned places to see and recommended a fabulous restaurant right across the street. The next day was hectic as my husband was going in for heart surgery and I was distraught and emotional. After many hours at hospital I returned late and the clerk again helped by taking the time to talk to me and listened and genuinely cared. She even looked up the local weather online so I wouldn't be stressed about traveling. I was very emotional and hadn't even thought of eating but again she recommended a place that delivers to the room for my supper. We will stay here again when in town mainly because of the fast, friendly, and compassionate staff working there.

The room was on the lower level. The window looked out on the pavement of the parking lot & the noise was awful. We were not told that SD still allows smoking in public places - the smell was terrible and there were no other rooms available. This hotel must have allowed dogs because we could hear them barking in the parking lot & in the room above us. We will NEVER book a room through Orbitz or stay in a Super 8 again.

Nothing - terrible place. Filthy rooms, poor service, uncaring staff, completely undeserving of my business. The hotel was relatively easy to find and admittedly, it is the middle of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, so rooms were at a premium. When we checked in the following week, the room we were given was filthy: sheets were used, towels had been used by re-hung and the floor had dirt and used tissues from the previous occupants. We didn't even want to touch anything. We asked for a new room and were given a run around. The manager had to actually see the room to prove it was dirty. The maid was called to clean the room and was surly about it; the entire staff was rude and unhelpful. So we waited for 30 minutes while the room was cleaned - it didn't really look much better, but smelled somewhat cleaner. We spent one night - and will never go back, nor recommend that hotel (or Super 8's in general) to anyone.

We stayed here for one night. The furniture was dated. We were in the "basement". Our window view was the front tires of whomever was parked outside the window. I did not feel safe. Anyone could have jumped right into the room from the window. All they had was a little wooden stick to keep the windows from being pried open. Anyone walking by could look right down into our room. They did have curtains that could be pulled together, but it was so dark and dingy. It was in between another motel and a gas station. Very old motel and not worth the money.

Very dissapointed with the condition of the rooms. The original room we were assigned to had mildew on the shower curtain and on the shower walls, walls in bedroom and bathroom were dirty with dark stains running down the walls and the bathroom door had something white splatter on it. The walls were deteriioriating with cracks and holes in the corners. I asked to be moved to a different room and they accomodated that. The second room was not much cleaner and there was a partial 2 ltr. bottle of coke in the room and a wire hanger laying on the floor which told me they hadn't done proper cleaning. In addition, the TV screen was all smeared and the furniture was very dusty. I let them know about the condition of this room also, but, there didn't seem to be any other options for moving us so we stayed in that room. We were only booked for 1 night. This was the first night of our 2 week vacation - not off to a very good start.

Great location, very clean, nice place. Desk clerk was rude, curtains aren't big enough to block out morning sun. This is a nice place, nothing fancy but clean and a nice place to stay. Location is great. Desk clerk on our night was rude but they can't all be that way. Our room faced the east and the curtains weren't big enough to block out the morning sun. Other than the curtains and the clerk, excellent hotel.

a good hotel for your money, decent breakfast and a clean room,a little noise though, maybe is because they accept dogs, the location of this hotel is really close to everything.

The employees were fabulous to deal with, especially the night clerk. She was not only friendly, but much like family. No refrigerator. No elevator, I have fibromyalgia & it hurts to walk up so many stairs that are so steep. It was very clean, friendly, well located near restaurants, stores we needed & attractions. The bed was very hard for me to sleep in, we had to buy an ice chest then leave it when we left to keep meds in. The breakfast was not designed for anyone with special needs like diabetics. All carbs & no protein is not acceptable diet for us. There was no extra pillow or blanket available without going down 2 flights of stairs, walking out into another building & back up. The water in that whole area is unfit to drink because of the aftertaste of chlorine. Even makes coffee & tea taste bad. The coffee in the public area was good. It must have been made with filtered water.

I realize this is not the only hotel to take advantage of an event but...........Our trip was scheduled during the Sturgis Bike Rally week for a reason. Our son and a friend scheduled their leave time before being DEPLOYED so that they could attend the rally. No discounts were honored.....expecially military ones. Go figure! $* a night for a Super 8 is OUTRAGEOUS. No special treatment. The rooms were no different that any other day. The service no different than any other day. JUST THE PRICE. I think that it is pathetic that hotels are allowed to take advantage of the general public to this extreme.

We were visiting south dakota - family vacation- and booked online. When we got there, the pictures online showed nothing like what we saw. Our bathroom was dirty, we had no towels or toliet paper! Asked at the front desk- rude. would never stay again at this location

Close to the hospital as I was there for a medical emergency. Not clean, my room was left open, had to ask for toilet paper 2 times. Very poor! Will not stay here again.

"Nearby the Mount Rushmore atraction, but with nearby city amenities and restaurants. Clean rooms."

Convenient location for Mt. Rushmore area 1 day visit. First room we were assigned to was occupied already. It was acceptable for one night stay. The price was ok although I could have saved $5 by walking in with a coupon. The free breakfast selection was not very good.

"Visit was fine except, front desk person on check-in seemed to be lost. Same person checked me out the next day (I was there for 3 nights), and I had some people walk in to my room. They corrected the problem quickly, though."

The complimentary breakfast was good with plenty of food. Bath tub was very dirty. This hotel was very overpriced for what it is. Mt Rushmore area hotels were very expensive. There were much better values in other areas.

The room was clean and the bed made every day. It was noisy with outside 3 mornings between 5-6 am and the air conditioner did not work properly so it was hot at night. I was not impressed with what they provided for the continental breakfast. The coffee was weak and they could have had fresh fruit. So, even though that was included in the room expense, we only ate there once. Three different mornings there was a great deal of noise outside of the hotel with a street cleaner, garbage pick up, and construction. The air conditioner did not work properly so the room would initially cool down and then get very warm in the middle of the night. The back parking lot exit was hard on the car and I thought I lost my front spoiler the first and only time I used it because of it having such a deep dip from the parking lot to the road. I was very unhappy with the hotel in general. The location was okay for our purposes and it was clean. Otherwise, I don't have much good to say about it.
