Even though the hotel is currently undergoing renovation - it was a great place to stay. The room was clean and large. The staff was great. Nice pool area and good restaurants within walking distance.

This motel in Daleville, outside Roanoke (north side) is being totally renovated. Half was done when we were there in July, 2008, and the room was totally new, therefore very clean - the carpet was new, bedspreads, furniture. Hammering (construction) started around 8 AM though. The Indian owners chattered away outside our door in the morning. The pool was clean, but plain (no diving). Out front was a good mexican restaurant that gave motel guests a 10% discount (food was very good), as did the Pizza Hut next to it. Front desk was accommodating, but the continental breakfast was sparse - too few choices (donuts and toast only). Fortunately, up interstate 81 north, I believe at exit 195 (just north of the I-64 intersection), there was a Day's Inn with a quaint, antique-laden, country-style pancake house (Sarah's Pancake House I think the name was) that had a wonderful menu; good food. If staying at this Super 8, re-fuel in this area (plenty of truck stops on other side of interstate with unleaded fuel at lower prices than anywhere else along I-81 - the gasoline costs were 10 cents higher an hour north. For the price, this motel was worth the price, compared to others in the area.

Convenient. Air conditioner was not working great. This hotel has been remodeled and is up to date with fashion colors and furniture. Good job!

The staff was wonderful and respectful. The ceiling looked like it was going to fall down. I liked the motel but it was a good distance from where I needed to be. It was a nice place and they were very helpful when we had to leave my sister's broken down car there.

Convenient to I-81, 2 restaurants at end of driveway. Not a pretty sight on the outside, it looked as though it was closed (due to construction, no doubt). New lobby and 1/2 of the motel has been completely refurbished. Room was spacious & very comfortable. Other half is gutted and being worked on. It was perfect for an overnight in the middle of a long road trip with a 7 & 10 year old.

We were in the newer part of the hotel so our room had a newer look and feel. We liked the queen size beds. No fridge in the room, TV was small. Breakfast was slim. When this Super 8 is finished being remodeled and the new lobby is opened, I believe you will be able to upgrade this hotel to a 2.
