We were not very satisfied at this hotel/motel at all. The room was not very clean, with stains throughout the bathroom. We could have probably paid less for something better. The pool area was not well maintained, had a broken gate to get in. The room service was not very attentive when cleaning and re-stocking the amenities.

In room refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and cable TV. Roach crawling on bedside table, odor in room. Location was okay, not out of the way. Quality and cleanliness of room left something to be desired. Staff asked us to move to next room so maintenance could be done on original room, which was slightly inconvenient.

We only had one problem with Super 8 and that was one of the pipes burst in our room the night before we were leaving. The clerk offered us another room but we turned it down. We did not want to pack all of our things up at 9:00p and move to another room, unpack, sleep, and repack at 6:00a. She tried to be very accommodatable and it was much appreciated. Otherwise, the staff was friendly. Parking was easy. They even wrote out directions to the library and to the Savannah Airport for us. My youngest son was disappointed at not being able to enjoy the pool ,but I wasn't . There is a grocery story across the street, gas station on the corner, right across from a Rite-Aid. The hotel was no more than 10 minutes from Parris Island which is why we were there for my oldest sons Marine Graduation. We were away from heavy, noisy traffic which is on Boundary Street which is approx. 4-5 miles up. Which is convenient for restaurants and shopping. All in all, my experience with Super 8 and South Carolina was pleasant and I would stay there again.

Iliked the size of the room and the location. The room had a bad smell to it. Overall, I liked my stay at the super 8. The room was clean, spacious and accommodating. The hotel was very conveniently located. The staff was friendly except one of our night clerks, she was very rude. My only complaint, about the room, was that it had a bad smell to it. All in all I had a lovely stay.

We stayed at the Super 8 for my son's graduation from Parris Island. It was a short distance away. We eventually found we had many places to choose from to eat, a bowling alley up the street, and a shopping center across the way. The folks behind the desk at the hotel were friendly. They were prompt in getting a room prepared for my new Marine when he checked in. They even provided spoons so we can eat our ice cream! We enjoyed the continental breakfast. An added surprise that made us laugh--I opened my eyes after we turned the lights out, and there were glow in the dark stars on our ceiling! My bed was comfortable, after I removed the mattress cover (It bunched up when I moved). It was left off at my request. The kids were a bit disappointed the pool area was not available, as they were enjoying the beautiful weather (there was a snowstorm up home), and the girls wanted to get some sun. My only complaints would be 1--the non-smoking room I had was wall to wall with the smoking room, so some residual smoking smell was in my room. 2--The tub and back of the toilet appeared to be surface cleaned , but not scrubbed. The tub lacked a plug, so we could not fill the tub to bathe. 3--Fresh coffee cups and packet of coffee were not provided once they were used the first day. I am sure they would have been if I had asked, though. The used coffee cup was just put back in the rack (I knew it was the same because of a crack on the bottom). Otherwise, the place was clean--even behind the headboards! (a news show once showed how to check for bedbugs--none here!).

I was in the area for marine boot camp graduation, the hotel is very convenient, it was only 2 miles away & close to restaurants. Kind of noisy, and cleanliness could be better, the area that it is in seems run down. I did not take part in the continental breakfast so I can not speak to that; however I did like that they had a mini fridge and microwave in the rooms. Was very convenient access to shopping, restaurants and Paris island for the families of graduating marines? Simper fi!

I booked the room based on another's review. Not used to smoking rooms as Ohio is basically a not a smoker friendly state. Take your air freshner. Other than that the room was fine if you are looking for a no frills place to stay. Very close to Parris Island. After the Marine graduation we stayed and visited Fripp Island, Hunting Island and Hilton Head Island. This room worked great for what we needed.

Convenient Room had a smell (tobacco maybe). All right for a make over motel. Not bad. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

I was a little nervous when I saw it had an overall rating of a 1 - but glad we stayed. Everyone was pleasant and helpful- close to Parris Island and that's what Marine Families need when coming from long distances for
