The location and price was good. The continental breakfast was a big disappointment in that there was very little choice. One side of the toaster did not work and there was no staff person available. The room was clean and that's what we were looking for -- an economical clean facility for one night.

The bed was extremely comfortable. I got a good nights sleep. No problems.

Room was clean and big, but a little worn out. Bed was not comfortable. Amenities say pets allowed, but they are not. Breakfast was almost non-existant. Staff were nice though. I wouldn't stay long term, but for an overnight it was OK.

Quietness. Excellent diner across the street that is open 24hours. The hotel is excellent for finding, mattress was just right and the refrigerated, safe were nice to use.

Classic flophouse for the Carlisle car shows. Nothing especially noteworthy, except that it's right across from the most excellent Middlesex Diner...the place works fine for serious car guys."

Excellent value for the moderate, overnight stay needed to complete this trip. Perfectly situated in an area with easy access to the major road. Offered a quick breakfast for those on the go travelers. Staff made it a breeze to check in an out.

this hotel is disgusting! we found a cockroach in the bathroom, dirty bedding, our room smelt like urin, and when we asked for clean sheets we were totally ignored. it was the worst hotel stay we've ever experienced.

Nothing. The staff was unfriendly. Worst room we've ever been in. There was still a turf festering in the toilet, cracks in the walls and ceiling, uneven floor that felt like it was buckling and a broken rumbling AC/Heat unit that was essentially unusable due to the noise it made. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Do not stay there.
Date of Stay:

Least expensive. Tiny parking spaces/hard to get in and out of vehicle. Small room, musty odor, met minimum standards.

Quite & priced right. When checking out cleaners walk in to room before we got everything out. Good beds, showers under pressure, pool not clean.

Nothing. Very Dirty and staff was terrible, no service. This hotel was very dirty, we had to clean our bathroom before we could use it. they never changed the sheets on the bed for a week stay. The room smelt funny. it rained while we were there and water was coming in around the window and through the walls. I would never stay at another motel 8 again.

Locate within several restaurants, and shopping centers. The bedding could have been upgraded, blankets were worn through. Conveniently located to amenities, but needs upgrades in the bedding.

Nothing really. There was a back entrance that the maids use and they tried to come in without knocking even with the DND sign up.

I liked the appearance of the room when we walked in. The one room smelled a little musty when we first went in, but it went away as soon as we turned on the air. I enjoyed it very much and I would stay there again.

It met our needs for a weekend away. It was clean but not spotless. The sheets had small holes in them, even on day 2 of the stay. The hallway was very hot not air conditioned at all. It was clean but not super clean. The desk help was friendly. This hotel was located near Gettysburg and around lots of nice shopping areas.

The price was reasonable. The beds were uncomfortable. The price was right, but the beds were not comfortable. The heating/cooling system was very loud and dried out the room. The room was clean, but not extremely clean. The continental breakfast had the least amount of items I have seen for even a one-star hotel. I probably would not stay there again.

It was comfortable & quiet. The continental breakfast was very plain - just bagels & muffins. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It seems old, but it was quiet and nice enough. We were only there to sleep at night anyway, so it was what we needed. The breakfast was a little disappointing. I typically expect a continental breakfast to include some Danishes or doughnuts or fruit, but all they had were plain bagels, English muffins and weak coffee. But really, for the price of the hotel, it was worth it. Staying in Carlisle added 20 minutes to my drive into Harrisburg, but actually, this hotel was a little nicer than the Harrisburg hotel I stayed in last time for $20 more per night. So, I think this hotel is worth what you pay for.

It was convenient for my trip to nj, just to sleep a few hours before getting on the tpk. The mattresses were old and a little squeaky. The hotel was located very conveniently for my trip to NJ. The lobby was nice, and also the staff was very nice. I enjoyed the continental breakfast, bagels and coffee always a winner. the hotel is old, and could use new mattresses as my mother and I could tell they were old a little worn.
