Room was clean. No screen on window, so we had to run noisy air conditioner to get cool (open window would have let in street noise, anyway). Breakfast room was very small - a standard hotel room with only three tables. Overall, it was OK if a little pricey for what we got.

Did not like anything. It smelled and had bed bugs! Bed bugs in both beds. We would not recommend this Super 8 to anyone. Lots of bed buys.

price right for the facility. old, with some updating of rooms; brkft very simple; would not stay again

went to michigan city for a job interview. the hotel was under construction and was very dirty because of it, there was what looked like drywall dust all over the vending machines and ice machine, can only imagine that the dust had gotten in the ice. the room was small and bed very uncofortable.

I liked the room . Clean hotel with friendly staff.

My husband and I were visiting Michigan City for the Labor Day weekend. I had made the reservations online and assumed everything would be fine. When we first entered the room, it was extremely cramped (barely could get around the beds). Went to use the restroom and the toilet chain was broke and the walls were disgusting. The walls in the bathroom looked like they were covered in urine streaks. We called the Holiday Inn across the street and luckily they had a room available. We went down to the clerk and told him we would not be staying in his hotel. He went and looked at the room and then offered us a bigger room at the same price but by then I was so disgusted that I didn't want to stay in any room in that hotel. My advice . . pay a little more and get a decent hotel.

Horriblr experience- when the guest clerk was informed about the filthy room she had to check for herself. When she returned she only offered another room which was probably just as filthy. We checked out and just accepted the loss since cheap tickets had no way to refund the price.

The cost was a lot cheaper than most in the area, it was just a place to sleep. With the money I saved in hotel fees it was money I had for shopping. It was a smoking room but it could have smelled a little fresher.

We were coming from a horrible at an area Holiday Inn and we were pleasantly surprised at how clean the rooms were and friendly the staff was. The price was great and the location near the turnpike and many restaurants we very convenient. I would absolutely stay again and recommend it to friends.

For the price it was a good value. Close to many food options and the rooms were clean. The front desk staff was very helpful, she let me use her phone to call home when my cell quit working.

Room was cold, TV did not operate normally.

This hotel has good management and seems to care about the guests. It's not a plush stay but adequate for the money. They offered a hair dryer and ironing board and iron, which is always a plus when traveling. There was no refrigerator to keep drinks cool. No air conditioning was used in the main lobby. Our main complaint was the hard as a rock bed matress. My wife went to the store and bought a large pillow to sleep on. The matress was as hard as the floor and neither of us got much sleep the first night - and we were tired from traveling. We cut our visit short by one night to locate a hotel that had a decent bed. We stayed at this Super 8 a few years ago and not much has changed. I would have rather stayed elsewhere on this trip. Again We had no issue with the management or the cleanliness of the place. It's still a value if you can get to sleep...

Near where we were going and easy to find. Neat and clean.

The Super 8 Motel, Michigan City was very comfortable. The room was very nice and clean. It was also larger than I expected and had comfortable beds. The other furniture in the room was in very good condition and gave a homey feeling. There were two padded chairs at a small round table and a very nice cherry desk with a comfy desk chair. The motel is very close to many restaurants and local business. This motel is also close to a couple of casino's. The staff was very friendly and helpful in directing me to the places I wanted to go. I will and have recommended this motel to family and friends. When I return to this area I will be staying here again.

Location. Good. Typical breakfast in the morning expected for a 1 star hotel. Overall a good place to crash for the night. Close to the mall and department stores.

The Motel 8 of Michigan City, IN was quite easy to find. After turning off the expressway it was on the left almost immediately. This was a Notre Dame football weekend which did cause the price to be about $40 higher than usual. I was a bit peeved about that, but I needed a place close to LaPorte. The room was clean with a separate bathroom area. The towel situation was more than adequate. The room was warm and the bed was very comfortable with adequate lighting. I appreciated the morning breakfast in the lobby.

Location was good. Limited breakfast items. The super 8 Michigan City is an adequate hotel for short stays. The Location is great being directly off the highway near numerous eating establishments and 5 minutes from the water front. Don't expect much from the free breakfast as they carry some muffins, bagels, orange juice and cereal with not much size or variety but the food was fresh and quality.

Clean and inexpensive. No swimming pool. Adequate rooms, overall cleanliness. Front desk was not always immediately available. Breakfast selections was limited but ok.

Clean. Hallways were drab. Your basic 2 star. Competent but not luxurious.

The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean and the maid service was great. We had no complaints what so ever. First floor room meant a lot. The refrigerator was great to have because we had insulin to keep cool. It was quiet at night. Everything was convenient from there.
