Most everything was great. The breakfast can use a lot of improvement. The location of the stairs in the back of the building for the guest in the middle was a distance to get to the parking area.

The convenience of the area and the friendliness of the staff. The air conditioner was making a lot of noise, therefore, we did not sleep well. I really enjoyed my stay at the Motel 8; the price was great and the convenience of the location. We were there for my son's competition in Chandler, AZ so we decided to stay in a more central location, Phoenix. We made a good decision. I will return if I ever have to.

We stayed at this hotel from Sun to Fri March 1-March 6 2009. It was clean, safe and the Manager was fantastic. He went above and beyong to help us out. very friendly staff. It was centrally located to everywhere we went. This totally met our standards.

The staff is very helpful and always cheerful. The rooms are clean and the area is very quiet. My only complaint was that the internet signal has not worked in either of the two rooms we have stayed in and it would have been helpful to me to have it.

Restaurants in walking distance without crossing streets. Hotel staff was very friendly, not expensive and served the purpose for a business trip.

The hotel was scum, dirty, pool was not fit for humans and they lady at the front desk gave us crap about this is not a member of the chain by individualy owned and if we didn;t like it we could leave. The old saying, you get what you pay for applies here. I was ashamed that I would be so stupid to trust the travel website would not give hotel choices in bad locations or from less than honest operators.

Room was clean and neat, and convenient to the highway. It was next to a not-so-great neighborhood, but there was a nighttime security guard on duty and I never felt nervous. The staff was all very nice and my stay was fine.

It was a central location. It smelled like an ashtray, and I had to wash my clothes twice to get the smell of the hotel out. It was nothing special. Had a bed, pool, and hot tub.

The Hotel was far away from the airport, cost US$ by Taxi to get there. The Hotel had no long distance calling phone service and the rooms (I switched the first room I was given) had a strong smell of stale smoke even thought it was a no smoking room. Given that it was a blind choice, I cannot complain much but NEVER AGAIN!

I will start with the beginning and just give the brief highlights&.I arrive in phx and there is a mix up with my rental car, so I decide to just use a taxi since I will only be in town for 1 day. I get to the motel and as we drive up I think there must be some mistake& this place rents out by the hour. Much to my dismay.. it was the right one. I had booked my motel on Orbitz and thinking "metro" was a "cool" part of phoenix& well its basically the 5 points of denver. I decide to stay since I was going to be leaving in the morning. I call a taxi to come pick me up and take me to Midwestern for the recruitment fair.[...] the motel I was at was "THE" crack hotel of phoenix. Im beginning to think that this unbelievable and someone is going to jump out say I have been "punked" no such luckOn a good note, the business aspect of my trip went great. I was able to recruit a lot of medical students. [...] I finally get back to my room and sequester myself in the room, too scared to leave the room [...]

Conveniently located andhassle free. Ideal for short stay at a reasonable cost. The general feedback would be POSITIVE. Areas of improvement - cleanliness and more variety for breakfast. Looks like the breakfast provided was just an after-thought.

It was very quiet right up to the time a bunch of police showed up and were searching the dumpster with questions for me as to what I was doing coming in after the Nascar race.Hotel was ok but Police were rude....sorry
