It is a longer drive from Galveston than expected. New paint on everything but still didn't feel as clean as i thought it should have been.

They didn't have wireless internet which only worked in the office. Very poor.

We only stayed here because every other place was booked. No coffee pot, room door would not lock, room felt "unclean" and dirty. won't stay there again unless we are desperate for a room
Date of Stay:
October, 2006
This place is old, dirty, and the employees were unfriendly and unhelpful.

Well, it was only $52 a night, so really, we had nothing to complain about. Only 15 minutes from galveston, and about 1/3 the price. The rooms were clean and had a tv, coffee maker, minifridge, and microwave. The staff are all indian and are very nice people if you stop to talk to them. On the down side, there was a moldy/wet smell to the room that we had to mitigate with incense and candles each night. the A/C unit, which is absolutely necessary in Texas, was so loud even earplugs didn't muffle it much. And it hadnt been refurbished in about 15 years at least. But again, $52 a night for a clean secure room? Priceless.

Location was ok, right off the interstate. Overall, it was disappointing. The rooms smelled of mildew, not very well cleaned, water ran brown from the faucet, sheets did not fit beds, pillows were about like laying on rocks. I do not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

Hotel is very very old. We stayed only because we had to as everything is Galveston was booked. Beds were ok. Bathrooms nasty, toilet wouldnt flush. Lobby & breakfast areas ""scarry"". Also Super 8 website does not stand behind their promotions!!

Easy access to the interstate and close to the beach. The beds were too hard. Overall, the hotel was very nice but the beds are to hard for my liking, but location made it very close to the beach.

The pillows smelled absolutely awful. The sheets smelled almost as bad. The room reeked of mold and the showers weren't hot.

When we got to the hotel the rooms were clean but was very hot and smelled horrible mold. The rest room there was no shower curtain. I was not able to take a relaxing shower because the water was splatering all over the floor. We called the front desk and asked for a shower curtain the clerk said they did not have a curtain until 1 a.m. They could have offered another room but did not. There was no pool.

It was our mid point to everything we wanted to do. No pool, no restaurant. Hotel was overall good, very clean, the restroom, the fridge and the microwave. Overall I had a pleasant visit while I was over there.

This hotel is ok just for sleeping. It is tiny and not many accessories. Ex-hairdryer,etc.

The motel8 was ok,but Idon't like the blanket. It was realy hard and on the breackfast i think they need to extend the hours because were suppose to go relax to start the day off good. We also couldnt understand the guy in the phone that gave us the directions to the hotel.

Super 8 Motel - La Marque The hoel was not that comfortable , the room was samll, the air condition would turn off constantly by it self with out being on the energy saver. the room had a mildew ordor that would not go away, also there were no restaurants close by we would have to drive down about 8 to 10 miles . Over all this hotel was a 2 on a scale of 1-4, 4 being great and 2 being somewhat ok. Sorry to say but we will never stay in a super 8 motel again.

It was comfortable, clean, quite and staff was very nice. Likely to stay there in the future. They can have more toilettes. The staff was friendly. Location was easy to find and close to hwy. Room was clean and comfortable equipped with refrigerator, microwave, and other accessories. And of course breakfast was provided..

The Super 8 Hotel in La Marque, Tx was disappointing. The room was very small, they had no iron, there was a coffee maker but no coffee pot. Also the air conditioner blew right onto the bed and the beds were sagging. The wall in the bathroom was molded and it made me feel the whole place was dirty. I did like having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. We won't be staying there again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I was able to get another room rather quickly. My son & I were locked-in our hotel room until 2pm. If you like Halloween than this is the place for you - cobwebs and spiders inside and out. After trying for at least 30 minutes to get assistance because the deadbolt would not unlock. It took the hotel staff (not maintenance, since he's off on Sunday's) approximately 2 hours to get us out of our hotel room. That's besides having my son climb out the cobwebbed/spider-infested in window to ask the housekeeping staff for assistance. In addition, I was told that I would get a discount on the room for that night which I did not. Needless to say I would never recommend the place nor ever return.

The least expensive one in the area. Very hard beds and loud AC. Clerk's accent was very hard to understand. Made me feel I was in the wrong for daring to get there a little before official check in time. No pool. Bed was very hard and pillows almost as bad. AC extremely noisy. Not enough plugs for use.
