This is an old motel and there is evidence to confirm it. The odor of curry, moth balls and cigars greets you in the lobby. However, the room did not have any odor. The owners were very friendly and courteous. I did hear complaints about bugs in the room from other family members staying here, however I did not find this to be true for my room. This motel is the better of the two offered in this location.

Nothing. Everything. It was smelly, dirty and the staff was unfriendly and not willing to help you at all. I was disappointed that I had to pay extra to get two beds instead of one bed.

The Super 8 Motel Higginsville is a great value with extremely friendly staff who are very knowledgeable of the area. The hotel was quiet, clean and convenient to the highway, but the bed was very hard.
