We just stopped en route to another location. I was happily surprised that Helena was larger than I'd thought and that the city was easy to navigate. We found the hotel on the first try using instructions from Google Maps. We had a problem with a plug in the room but fixed it quickly. Breakfast included large waffles and omelettes (but cooked with powdered eggs, I think. I'm of the type that I was still glad to have protein and not just carbs, carbs, and more carbs) as well as cereal, muffins, toast, and juice. The location was quiet and I felt totally safe. The room was dark, had A/C (which many Montana hotels don't have), and the beds were comfortable. We slept very well. My rating would actually be a 3.5. It's such a great deal. Oh, and the lobby area has coffee 24 hours and vending machines that even have Dinty Moore Beef Stew and Turkey Dinner for those who just missed a meal and are hungry when other places are closed. That is a nice convenience. Service was fine but we didn't see enough to determine if it was first-class. Everyone was very nice.

I like the price and the continental breakfast. The bed cover had a yellow stain on it, I don't believe the cover had been laundered. Every thing was good except the dirty bed cover. We removed it and got another blanket. Did not tell them about the dirt bed cover till we left. The continental breakfast was good.

Tried following my GPS to get to the Hotel and it led me in circles when the entire time I could see the hotel out the car window. Everything was about what I expected for the price we paid. It was a little annoying to have to walk in and out the lobby through a cloud of smoke created by the employees smoking outside. Rooms are clean but a little run down. The wireless internet was great.

It needs to be cleaner. The hotel could a good remodel & cleaning. Our beds were clean and the bathroom was clean, however water damage in the bathroom was poorly repaired, the carpets could use better vacuuming & a shampooing, and the room could use a good coat of paint.

Cheaper than others in the area I wanted to be, close to conference. It was a room which is what I was looking for. The price was better than others in the area. I did not make use of the breakfast that was provided due to the meeting I was attending, but I have had breakfasts in the past at Super 8s and been very satisfied. The room was clean, didn't smell, and had basic needs.

Friendly staff. Not clean rooms, location of ice vending machines, lobby smelled bad. The air conditioner was very loud when we checked into the room, the maintenance crew was off for weekend, so the staff didn't know how to fix it so they moved us to another room, and they should have someone there for maintenance, especially during the busy months. The lobby smelled like puke when we were leaving for dinner- the room wasn't that clean and the floors in the hallway are worn and dirty looking. There is only one ice machine and vending machine and it is on the first floor by the washer/dryers. Breakfast only served until 9:30, which is early since checkout is at 11:00.I would not stay in this hotel again. The location for where we needed to be close to was accurate but I would drive a little farther for a better hotel.

"Was so nice to have a clean quiet room for my extended stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I will be staying here whenever I am in Helena. Coffee maker in room was great for the quick cup of morning coffee and the continental breakfast was quite nice...like your ""welcoming"" lobby."

"This hotel is very run down - the rooms just have that dirty feel to them. Bathrooms were not very nice either. We ended up sleeping on our sleeping bags - didn't trust the bedding. Also, you have to walk through the first floor - which is the smoking floor to get up to another floor and the smell of smoke was INTENSE. We will not be staying there again. The front desk people were also not helpful at all and not friendly."

The bathrooms weren't nearly as clean as they could have been and the ceiling had mold on it. The lock on our door also didn't work the first day we got there. A maintenence man had to come fix the lock while we were there.
