Date of Stay:

Convenient to downtown. The hotel was very convenient and the staff was very helpful.
Date of Stay:
July, 2008
There were people in the parking lot drink and playing loud music till past 2:00am. The rooms were bug ridden and filthy. The towels were stained. The heated pool was not heated. There were not enough parking spaces for the hotel guests, local use the parking lot as a hang-out to drink. It was a hilly-billy, low-end version of Dayton Beach spring break. Will never stay in the hotel again. Very unlikly to stay in the area again.

Jacuzzi suite upgrade for free. The decor was terrible. My wife and I stayed at this hotel during a weekend trip to Helen. The staff was very friendly. I booked a smoking room, but they had me down for non-smoking. They remedied the problem by upgrading us to a Jacuzzi suite with a fireplace. Yes, the decor was tacky, but if you're going to Helen, tacky is one of the things you should expect. I would definitely stay here again. I would say, however, that if you're a 5 star hotel person, this is not the place. It is close to everything in Helen and is a good place for what Helen is meant for: getting drunk and having a good time.
Date of Stay:
April, 2008
The room we had was very large & comfortable. My best friend, my sister (also my best friend) and myself have made staying at this hotel in the same room a tradition for the last 2 years, and will continue every year.
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
Very convenient to local attractions. The towels were very thin and rough. An overall good value.
Date of Stay:
September, 2007
The staff at the motel seemed very friendly, however, the room was terrible. There was unidentified stuff smeared on most of the walls, the carpet was sticky, the shower was full of mold, the toilet had a black ring around the very top. This motel is old, but even old can be cleaned.

Near activities friendly staff easy check in. Poor view. Possibly recommend to others need better directions to area.
Date of Stay:
December, 2006
the hotel is old - but definitley clean. Staff is very freindly - cost is low - Its where we'll go from now on.
Date of Stay:
August, 2008
Location. Accommodations. The hotel was decent, but the fact of not receiving the type of room (two queen beds, not one king with a rollaway) was very disappointing.
Date of Stay:
July, 2008
Close to town and activities, initial desk clerk was very nice. Poor quality room, smelled bad covered with an orange smell. Wouldn't recommend it based on age of property and overall odor.
Date of Stay:
May, 2008
The fireplace was a really nice touch. The balcony was small but nice. It was a very pleasant experience. The hotel staff was helpful in suggesting things to do around Helen.

Location. Loud guest at night and the hotel personnel didn't do anything about it. The hotel was clean, great location for the town of Helen. Hotel staff was very nice. All the main things in Helen was within walking distance from hotel.

After the hotel upgraded us to the room, it was very nice, Jacuzzi, fireplace, king bed. The first room smelled of smoke and was cramped and looked run down, curtains coming down. The hotel staff was friendly. If you want romance I suggest upgrading to suite with Jacuzzi and fireplace. Thanks to staff.

It was really close to down town Helen. It was really loud. The room was ok but there was not a fitted sheet on the bed. Also we could hear everything in the rooms next to us. On our right a drunken group of guys and on our left a family with an indeterminate amount of young children. The children woke up at seven a.m. begging to go to the playground and their parents proceeded to curse and yell at them for the next two hours. Not to mention that while looking out from the hotel railing at the cute little houses and pretty creek my boyfriend pointed out a dirty diaper left by the above mentioned family, on the hotel railing! Great scenery.

Great location and room for price. The continently breakfast was a joke. I was very pleased with the hotel. It was in a great location and the room was great with a fireplace and Jacuzzi. The only negative was the continently breakfast. There were only 2 or 3 old muffins.
Date of Stay:
December, 2007
Sheets were torn and old, bed very uncomfortable, room outdated. Close to all shopping and restaurants, walking distance. Because of the rooms linens and outdated I would not recommend this hotel.
Date of Stay:
November, 2007
Location. Too noisy. Very good location. Walking distance to the center of Helen. Children were disturbing running up and down the sidewalk. Even so, I will stay here again.

Location. A place for drunks. Location was great and staff seemed friendly, but seemed to be a party place.
