We are previous residents of Hampton Roads visiting some friends. The room met our basic needs (inexpensive, not creepy, pretty clean), which was fine because we just needed a place to sleep. Breakfast left a bit to be desired so we went next door to Waffle House.

For its star rating it was clean and comfortable and everything worked. The room was very small and it is a bit outdated. This motel met economy expectations. It was priced higher than economy should be but it was a holiday weekend and there little else available.

I stayed at this hotel in 2006, and found it fairly clean, and good enough for its inexpensive price. So I returned in 2007, and found the experience terrible. The room was dirty, with pizza sauce stuck to the table. And the bathtub had a permanent layer of dirt. The toilet backed up that night. We finally got someone to "fix" it at about 10:00PM. A guy showed up with a plunger, splashed toilet water all over our bathroom, then told us it was fixed. The next morning, it still wasn't fixed. I had to be somewhere early in the morning, so I opted to use the bathroom across the street at Dunkin Donuts. When I got back to the hotel at noon, I asked to check out a night early. They refused. I told them I was more than reasonable by paying full price for a night in a room that didn't have a working toilet. And I asked that they would be reasonable and give us our money back for that night, which we didn't intend to stay. They still refused. The best they could do was give us a * dollar refund. I finally told her that the room was filthy, and I would never return. She said, "THAT'S WHAT EVERYONE SAYS.

This was not a good experience. I checked in without a remote for the TV. On day one of six I left the room for one hour. Then came back to find out that I could not get back in. The key did not work. Them I receive the remote that was taped up on the back. The floor in the room was not vaccumed on my arrival. The dresser draws were broken. The microwave glass holder in the inside was broken. The was a outside upkeeper who asked me for some spare change so he could buy some water. The fan in the bathroom did not work. A housekeeper stopped me in the hall to asked if I needed them in the room. I thought she should have come down to the room and checked. On the evening of day five I notice a small box that was moving under the bed. The first thing I thought about was MICE. I was correct!!! I called the lobby personel. He said it take a few minutes and he would be up. He came up and there was no mouse so he left within 30 seconds. As he was leaving I asked for a 7a wake up call for my flight out the next day. THAT WAKE UP CALL NEVER CAME!! Lucky I set the alarm clock in the room. I could not sleep anyway knowing there was mice in the room. Then I notice there was 2 inch gap under the room door. This motel is really bad!!

It was quite, plenty of coffee in the morning. They took my opened bar of soap and left none in return! You get what you pay for. The price was good; the location for me was great. The TV remote was not operating quite like it should, but I could get the channels I wanted. It was clean, quite, and the AC worked great. I would stay there again!

This is the poorest excuse for a hotel I've seen in 15 yrs. The halls smell of urine, manager is RUDE. Trust someone who travels 50 wks a year, do NOT stay here.

The place was worn out and not very clean. That location was seedy and in a congested area. The remote for the TV was missing. They gave me another that did not work. They they came up and tried to program it. I ended up doing it myself. The bathtub looks like it has never been cleaned. The people were friendly enough but they kept expecting me to leave earlier than I was scheduled for.

It was a ghetto Especially with the bum out front with his bag of clothes. Everything..... I checked the hotel out after my family had canceled their trip. I tried to talk to them.

We stayed at the hotel for 9 days while waiting to close on a new home. The area is not good, the rooms smelled of urine, the staff seemed to tolerate us, our housekeeper didn't provide more than 2 towels for 4 people unless asked. One day the room was not cleaned and my husband was offered a vacuum. One day the toilet paper was not restocked and we were told they ran out - with no offer to go get some from another room or apologies! Two nights we were kept up (one past 2A) with people running and jumping upstairs. No compensation or apology.

The Super 8 Motel was very nasty. I have stayed in cleaner hotels for less money. Managment was not very friendly after my husband asked them to replace the microwave. It was so rusty inside that it stunk.I have plenty of pictures if you would be interrested. There was a $25.00 cleaning charge for my dog who is short haired. The people who stayed in the room before us must have had a long haired dog because the hair was still all over the floor and bed.I could understand the fee if the room would have been cleaned in the first place. There were dead bugs on the bathroom floor I even showed the pictures to the front desk she acted like it wasnt her problem. If it wasnt for the filth in the room and the mildew in the fridge and the busted airconditioner and the broken window the stay would have been enjoyable. No I would not reccomend this motel to anyone.

Close to food. Dirty, staff was rude, police called on first night of stay.

Rooms smell like urine, cleaning woman can't figure out how many towels to leave, carpet has a grimy/greasy feel. Beer bottles in the parking lot, seedy looking folks smoking pot in the parking lot. Probably a great place to stay if you are in a heavy metal band...all others stay away. I will say the staff is fairly nice and they try to accomodate.

The Super 8 Chesapeake was clean and the staff were friendly and accomadating. The mini fridge and microwave was great. The location was good as far as eateries and shopping.

The location was ideal and easy to reach. They could do a better job cleaning the rooms.
