I also forgot to mention the shuttle which is actually a van with a grumpy old man driving it. My fiance's mother is very ill and has a lot of health problems... well she and i had went shopping on Beale St and took the shuttle down there and he said just call and he would pick us back up where he dropped us off at. Well we called.. we waited at the exact spot.. an hour and a half goes by (keep in mind only a few minutes from the motel) and he never showed. My fiance's mother became extremely ill from the heat and began to vomit. We had no intentions of having to be outside for so long! Finally we just caught a cab. Upon our arrival to the motel the "Shuttle Driver" was sitting on the couch in the lobby watching tv. He never said a word to us! UGH!!

It was horrible. The room wasn't ready when it was supposed to be we had to wait in the lobby for an hour. Once in the room it was still filthy. Toilet paper in the microwave. Dirty floors. Dirty restroom. HAIR in the beds. Cigarette burns in blankets. Holes in the wall. EWWW.. it was bad. There was an old hospital/crematorium next door which I thought was kind of need but the others from my group didn't. There were literally 30-40 people just kind of hanging out outside of the motel under the trees. Kind of strange. The owners made their young daughter work the front desk and the poor girl didn't have a CLUE! Also, at one point I wanted to buy a canned soda which was either $1 or $1.25 and the machine would only take quaters so i went to the front desk to ask the lady for quarters and she flat out told me no! I thought they were kind of rude. Not to mention i was on the 5th floor and you could hear people yelling outside late at night. CREEPY!!! I would not recommend staying at this motel!

The good thing is that the hotel is right off the freeway and just over the bridge if you are coming from the west. However, this location seems a little ify especially if you are a lone female traveller. It is tucked back into a dead end in what seems like an abandoned industrial area. There is a residential neighborhood nearby. Generally this seems like a bad part of town. The hotel was the only business in this location. There is free parking but it is a tight fit. The first impression I got of my room was one of griminess. The room was clean but the hotel overall appears a little dirty. I inspected my mattress and discovered something smeared between it and the box spring. The staff was nice enough. The continental breakfast consisted of Danishes, bagels, and cold cereal. No fruit. I would recommend this place if you want cheap but I would not stay here again. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

The convenience to downtown and low price. The entrance can be difficult to find for patrons traveling from out of town. For the price and location it is a bargain.

Very good price. A bit run down and the pool was not working. Strange customers. If price is important, its a good place for a place, just to sleep.

The location wasn't great- kind of hard to find, but near-ish to downtown (about $7 taxi ride to Beale Street). The door was difficult to lock and was in a sketchy part of town- made me kind of nervous. I was disappointed in the staff- the front desk lady had a bit of an attitude and the cleaning lady called early the next morning to see if we had left yet!! One positive was the "shuttle" service to Beale Street, although it looked more like a person's personal car, rather than a shuttle for a hotel. I would probably stay again, if only because it is cheap and near-ish to downtown.

Very nice hotel. Rooms very clean -- Staff excellent , Very helpful and knowledgable. Very nice continental breakfast. I was traveling with 2 senior citizens and my disabled husband. No problems here. Location is great. Close to Graceland, close to Arkansas. Had a wonderful vacation.

Not worth the rate.

Close to Beale St, shuttle provided andcool safe provided. Run down, bad neighborhood andcrappy shower. The staff were nice enough, not terribly interested in much though. The outside of the hotel is very ugly, and the neighborhood is a park, the highway, and an abandoned building. Everything in our room was unplugged, we had to crawl on our hands and knee's to get heat plugged in, lamps, etc. And, the shower barely worked. It took 10 minutes of tinkering to get the right temperature, which is a simple fix. The vanity light flickered. The bed was what it was.

Room was supposed to be non-smoking and wasn't. It reeked of smoke. Last night there the room wouldn't warm up above 50 degrees.

this was the worst experience in memphis that we ever had. first of all the hotel advertised limo service as an amenity. when we got to the hotel there was no such service. we requested a jacuzzi non smoking room, we walked in the room and immediately could tell someone had smoked in it. thirdly they advertised shuttle service when we arrived they no shuttle working and it seemed they had a shuttle in quite awhile. the hotel is in an unsafe area of memphis. the only reason we booked this was for the amenities. there were 4 amenties that were advertised that were not offered. we left the room went back to complain and get our money back. when we asked about the shuttle they said oh parking is easy in memphis and you can take a cab. they didn't offer any vouchers for a cab or anything. they did give us our money back however it messed up both of our bank accounts before we had left memphis. also there were alot young kids roaming the hotel hallways with cell phones. they looked rather rough like gang members. the area and hotel are not safe for anyone. don't stay at this hotel . we had to get another hotel and we were both bushed by the time 8pm rolled around.

the room smelled bad and when I got up in the morning the there was a stench of garbage outside the door to the room. I couldn't see swimming in the pool which is right by the garbage smell. The room was very dingy, the carpet needed to be either replaced or shampooed. The ice machine on my floor didn't work. The bed was fine and there was plenty of hot water for showers and it was quiet. Easy on and off I55.

Very close to Downtown Memphis without the high charges of downtown hotels. Close to the highway and the railroad, takes getting used to before falling asleep.

My wife and I stayed here for our Honeymoon trip to Memphis. We were very pleased with the staff, the room was clean and though it seemed to be in an old area with old buildings is was nice and quiet. The only problem my wife had is she had back surgery a few months back and the bed was a little to firm for us, but it didn't keep us from resting. The lobby was clean and the breakfast options they had the next day were nice. When we do take another trip to Memphis we will stay there... Thanks, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Gallinoto, Ponder, Texas

Super 8 Graceland/Downtown was a good location. It was clean and the service was good. The beds were not real comfortable. The continental breakfast should have had more choices. A bit of updating would make it ideal.I would go back again.

Pool was clean. Mold on the walls of the room, carpet dirty -children's feet turned brown from walking on the carpet. Very surprised Super 8 would allow their name associated with this hotel. Needs repair and upkeep bad. Mold on the walls above the bed. Unable to turn bathtub faucet off completely. Feet became dirty from walking on the carpet in the room without shoes on. Would not stay in this hotel again.

Hotel is far from downtown. Cab or shuttle service required everytime...very expensive. Pool not open all the time and looks nasty. Needs quite a bit of cleaning and updating. Once you are there, you can't walk anywhere to eat or sightsee. Too far in the boonies. Staff was very friendly

Nothing. Bad location, dirty room with broken door on bathroom. This hotel is not a good place to stay for even a few hours. We let our 13 year old son go to the room because he had to use the restroom, but the inside door knob was broken and he got stuck in it. Most of the people we saw at the hotel were actual residents that used the hotel as a low rent apartment complex. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, anywhere, any time!

Friendly staff. Hotel needs updating. Pool was non-functional. No dining facility nearby. No public transportation nearby. Really nothing nearby...kinda in a slummy area. Rooms have a weird smell. Not completely clean.
