The Super 8 in Escanaba was a very good choice for the traveler(s) who needs a fairly comfortable place to stay overnight. It is located very close to a number of shops and places to eat and the fact that there was both a microwave and a mini-fridge in the room meant that we didn't have to go out if we only wanted to snack instead of going out for dinner. The staff was very nice and I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

There is nothing that states this hotel does NOT have an elevator. We are not disabled, but climbing stairs with luggage is not that easy for people our age. Also, the pool was cold & the water cloudy. The sauna had NO posted instructions and did not appear to work. We could not connect to the wireless internet the entire time we were there. On the up side, our room was clean and quite large. The breakfast served was good and well stocked. I am not too sure I would stay here again.

This is a nice, reasonably priced hotel in the northern town of Escanaba, Mich. The only negative thing about it is there is a divided highway, and you have to drive ahead, then make a u-turn and come back. They do have coffee and a small breakfast in the morning.

Good complimentary breakfast. Room had an unpleasant smell. Rooms spacious, but our room had an unpleasant smell. However breakfast was good and they had free Internet computer.

Location was nice. Pool was nasty, and crowded. Room next to mine was full of adolescents no supervision. Made noise continuously. The hotel would not change room even though we complained about bed size, and noise from neighbors.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating the pool was very large and nice, comfortable temperature, nice hot tub and sauna, rooms very comfortable. We liked everything about it. Very nice, nice accommodations with a friendly staff-nice warm pool, hot tub, sauna, continental breakfast, even had laundry facilities. We definitely will return. Great value!

Late check in went smoothly. Bathrooms need updating, no crib was available. I was very disappointed in my experience with this hotel. It took 4 phone calls to eventually arrange a room that was appropriate for our family. Even the room was available, I had to pay extra or my kids would have slept on the floor in a smoking, handicapped room. Then when we arrived there were no cribs for our young toddler.

The staff was exceptional and very helpful! The pool area is small and the sauna is smaller than your bathroom in the hotel. Good hotel if you are looking for affordability with slight comfort. Easy place to relax and, close to all ameneties, the only down fall is the sauna which is very small.

Welcoming atmosphere, pool, continental breakfast. I was very impressed. I did not expect the atmosphere and cleanliness and overall enjoyment of my stay, as I would have expected from a much more expensive hotel.
