Wireless internet service, plenty pillows & continental breakfast. Awful smell, unhelpful staff, everything seemed dirty & dingy. I would never stay there again!

When I checked our family in that night, the front desk clerk sighed out loud, as if relieved that his last guest checked in, or so I felt as if I were. When I asked him to confirm the nights he had us booked for, he quickly jumped to conclusions and assumed I might want to make changes to my reservations, so he took his pen and pointed it and rudely wiggled it at me as if he were an old crabby school teacher scalding one of his students. He said, "Don't call us to make changes to your reservations. You have to call online to make any changes. We don't have any control over that....blah, blah, blah...". His tone was condesending and negative. I felt as though I had done wrong in making a reservation via online. He mentioned that they don't make much money off those sights..blah, blah, blah. I tried to shake this off with some humor, and hopefully get him to see what he had done, but I don't think he got it. I was too tired to worry about it any longer, so I shrugged it off for the time being. I just wanted to crash in my bed. When we got to our room, the TV remote didn't work, one of the dresser handles was broken off, and a couple of bathroom fixtures were broken and hanging from the walls, i.e. bath towel rack, shower fixture, etc. It doesn't appear anyone routinely inspects the rooms for these details to ensure they are corrected. We went ahead and stayed our time just so we didn't have to stress over finding another place. I hope the hotel owners will pay better attention to the customer service details, and less with their bank accounts.

The room was cleaned and serviced everyday. The only thing that was wrong was the bathroom had wire showing along the top of the mirror from out of the wall to the light fixture. Also, the shower/toilet room walls and fixture updating.

Location. Stain on sheets, comforter, no toilet paper, and dirty. There was no toilet paper and the place was dirty with food left in it from the last guest; both in room and in the refrigerator.

If you're looking for a hotel within walking distance of the parkway without having to pay extra for it.. this is it. It was the cheapest rate we could find in the downtown area and the room was nicer than an "on the parkway" room we had paid thirty dollars more for the first night of our stay.

The Super 8 breakfast is minimal. The coffee tasted like it was watered down. The donuts were cold and hard.

Front desk staff helped us promptly with having no heat. First night room could not heat up. It was around 20 degress outside. It was cold when we got there and cold the next morning. Hotel I think overall was pretty decent. We just happened to get a room where the heating unit did not work properly. It was really cold. I had to get into the shower to heat up only to realize, the shower knob was set to where you could not get too much really hot water. I was cold. My husband was cold. It was around 20 degrees outside. The staff did bring us a portable heater for the next day/night. It helped. And, someone apparently worked on the unit because it was actually blowing out warm air when we got back. The staff acted like we did not have it set right, but we're not idiots we did have the temperature set on the hottest temperature and the air on the highest.

My family travels to Gatlinburg about 6 times per year for conferences we attend regularly due to work and have stayed in some of the best hotels in the area but decided to look for availability and location to the convention center this time. We chose Super 8 which is just across the street from the convention center and made a terrible mistake. The beds were so rock solid that we didn't even sleep and the walls so paper thin, we actually listened to our neighbors entire conversations. Unfortunately for them, they also were kept awake by our crying infant. The toilet barely flushed and the room was very, very small. To top it all off, while exiting my vehicle, I stepped in dog poo and was told very "boldly" ( like I was lying) , that this wasn't a pet friendly hotel. I almost had to beg someone to clean up the mess in front of my hotel door. This was such a terrible experience and it ruined the conference for us entirely. If you're looking for comfort and friendly service with your trip, dont rely entirely on reviews from the internet because although the reviews we read only had good things to say about this hotel, it was by far the worst room I have ever had and will never stay again.

We did not decide to go until late in the week. The property has a great location just off of the Parkway in Gatlinburg. The rooms were very well kept and it was clean. The rate was exactly what we were looking to spend for the trip. Nice room for the price.
