Our southwestern style inn us located in the Verde Valley town of Cottonwood centrally located 100 miles north of Phoenix and 20 miles south of Sedona.

My two daughter (6 and 9 years old) and I arrived around 10pm and checked in quickly. Our room was easy to find and was cool and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like about the room was that there was not a sheer curtain behind the thick one so that if you opened the curtain, you could see right in the room. Other than that, everything was fine. We swam in the next morning before we checked out instead of getting up early for the continental breakfast. The pool was small, but it was cool and easy to get to. We didn't try the hot tub, but it looked as though it just needed to be cleaned. Very easy to access the internet with the free wifi and friendly staff.

First of all, they double charged us for my parents room. They charged my parents for the room, and they also charged me for their room. Second, the charged a $50.00 incidental fee. Upon check out, our rooms were inventoried, then our incidental fee was returned. I've traveled around the world being in the military. Even through out the United States, and I've never been charged an incidental fee, or had my room inventoried at any hotel I've stayed at. It gave me a feeling of not being trusted as a guest. It left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won't be staying at any Super 8 motels anymore. Goes to show you, one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch.

Staff was courteous & helpful. Nice continental breakfast each am. Centrally located to several area activities. Rooms could use some updates, but generally clean & all in working condition.

i was little worried when i booked because of the reviews on this site, but we had good experience. breakfast could be a little better. pool and spa were open, we were able to use them so that was nice. the staff was very accomadating. the desk clerk was efficient, help get our laugage to the room.

The rooms are dated and contain only the basics. The bed was like a rock. The showerhead sprayed everywhere but on my body. On three occasions I had to get more towels at the front desk because the appropriate number of towels were not left by the maids. The pool and hot tub were both right beside the road, but I was not able to use either of them because they said they weren't open. The pool I could see, but am I the only one who enjoys the hot tub on a cooler evening? You are alloted one ashtray in your room and when I requested another one, I was told only one to a room. My favorite part was traveling all day and coming back to the motel at 3:00am only to find that my room card didn't work and had to go to the office and get that corrected. If my trip wouldn't have been prepaid or if I would've had any sense, I would've seeked out another place to stay.

We wanted to have our Anniversay in the Cottonwood area, booked our trip via Travel agency, flight, hotel, and rental car from Pheonix. The only issue was this hotel was on a major road, the pool and spa were right by the road and parkinglot. The walls are paperthin, we could hear everyones normal conversations in the adjoining rooms. It was not like the rooms beside us had noisy people, the walls were just that thin. The room was dingy and dark. Everything was dated and a bit musty smelling. This is a fairly low rate hotel and it is obvious. We got the rooms b/c of the price and that there were great reviews from travel agency customers. We were very disappointed. We checked out the next day and went up to Sedona.

The Super 8 motel in Cottonwood was exceptionally comfortable. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Its proximity to Sedona made it even better. My friend and I enjoyed our stay.

Front desk reception excellent--breakfast ok. The hot water leaked all over the sink when we turned it on. The bedding was very old. The room was clean though, and it was easy to park.

at 160 dollars per night for a creaky old room and a skimpy continetal breakfast. we found this to be the worst motel we stayed at during our two week trip.

Check in was friendly, and polite,I was informed about free morning breakfast, There was coffee,dounuts,cereal,juice,bread,and muffins with a toaster were there and told what time it would be served, There was also a coffee maker in room, had cable TV, Directions to area attraction, and shopping were given, Beds were very confortable, and room was very quite for a good nights rest,There was coat rack which had enough hangers for clothes. Room was spacious, and smoke free and had a small table and two chairs,there was also a small refrigerator. Restaurants were near by, as was a laundry-mat.

Close to where I needed to be. Staff was argumentative about the double booking. Hotel was decent. Bathroom slightly dirty. Cleaning staff spoke little to no English. There was an issue on double booking of this room and staff was argumentative and rude about the error.

The lady at the desk was very nice and helpful. The beds were hard, the pool had cleaning supplies left in it, and the Jacuzzi was not working. It smelled horrible outside our room. We will never stay their again nor recommend it to others.

This Super 8 Motel was very comfortable. Some traffic noise but not bad. Good location. People very friendly. Bed was comfortable and the motel was clean. Breakfast was okay, but have seen better. Restaurants were close.
