there was a burger king bar in the microwave no telling how long it has been there. when the maids came in to clean all they did was make bed. trash still on floor.

Locattion and easy access to room. Easy access to I-81 all rooms on ground level room was very clean room was very quiet and had a good nights rest.

The inexpensive cost. Very little sound proofing between rooms. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable although the pillows were very few and quite flat. I had to fold my in half. The proximity to the road was convenient but led to a lot of road noise throughout the night. Also, it was tough to sleep through the noise of the guests next door as the walls are quite thin.

I could hear the people in the room next door. The pool is tiny, people were drinking cases of beer in the pool area where the signs said no alcohol. Towels stained. Continental breakfast was poor. Will not return.

Very convenient to highway. Clean. Carpet strip (tacs) left in adjacent parking space (carpeting being replaced). Clean, convenient, friendly staff. Very good value!

"rooms were clean, somewhat but looked like a roach motel. Carpet was old and torn, beds were very uncomfortable. Staff did not inform where breakfast was at. Would never stay again."

Within sight of highway but away from highway noise, the hotel was easy to find. My room was clean and air conditioning on upon arrival. While nothing fancy, the room was entirely satisfactory, was quiet, TV worked fine, and shower was good and hot. People were enjoying the pool in the morning but I didn't have time to check it out. Included with room is a simple continental breakfast included english muffins, two cereals, two juices, fruits, bread, coffee, tea, milk, enough to get started on for the day.

Clean, convenient, and very reasonably priced. The hotel was perfect for a short visit with my son for a formal college visit to Virginia Tech. The room was clean and had a good TV, refrigerator, microwave. Plenty of room. Nothing fancy. Perfect for our needs.

"The rooms were clean and the staff were all very helpful. The grounds were well manicured, quiet, and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. The rooms are a little dated, but as long as they are clean, who cares? For under $50 a night, we got a small continental breakfast, 2 queen beds, refrigerator, and microwave."

It is a quaint hotel, that looks like a log cabin. The beds were hard, and the smoking rooms stunk of smoke. This hotel is only a short drive to Blacksburg and Virginia Tech. The beds are very firm. Also, the water pipes may need to be replaced, the water smelled/tasted old. However, having wireless internet is nice and the continental breakfast was good. There is a restaurant on site, but it was being renovated while we were there. This place is an older hotel with some updates. The outside looks like a log cabin which is appealing.

The staff was super friendly & attentive to any needs. Wanted us to stay another day. Needs painting or different color, Miami colors, looks sad outside. Big room, furniture hasn't been updated; in natural wood & heavy duty..lots of drawers. Huge nice TV, faucets, coffee maker, everything works fine. Harder mattress, good for lower back pain, don't know why somebody so delicate complained about that, the cheap light mattresses killed my back. Enjoy breakfast room-TV, clerk changed channel to our news to please.

Easy access to university. The hotel was used for sleeping only and was perfect for that. I really can't complain about the cost, location to Virginia Tech, and availability during a football game!

Good value for the price. Will stay here again. Looks sort of ragged from the outside but the room was clean. The room was clean and comfortable. Pool was enjoyable for the kids. Will definitely stay here again when I am in town.

Convenience to Interstate 81 & area of where I was going. NA. Overall the hotel was clean & quiet. Management was helpful. Rooms were clean as well as areas around the building.

Inexpensive and allowed pets. Smoking smell in room. It was inexpensive and we needed a place where we could keep our dog. When we got there, we couldn't get into the lobby so had to check in through an outside, small window. The smell of smoke in the room was overwhelming and we wanted a non-smoking room. It wasn't horrible, but we won't return here.
