very courtious and helpful staff. feel very comfortable.

The jacuzzi in the room was awesome. The shower didn't hardly have hot water or pressure. This hotel was okay. The money that I spent was not. When you get up in the morning or want to take an evening shower there is no pressure or hardly any hot water. When complained they said we could take a bath in the jacuzzi.

It is small but the employees are VERY friendly and are willing to help with anything. Free parking is also a plus.

The room purcheased did not even exist upon check-in! The hotel clerk was very rude and unwilling to work with us. In order to get a room comparable to the room booked through travel agent would have cost us more money up front. The room booked was an effeciency unit with 2 rooms and a whirlpool. It was not an effeciency unit with 2 rooms, it was one room with a king bed. The worst hotel experience I have ever had in this city! Do NOT book a reservation here - it is NOT worth the few extra dolloars. We ended up staying at the Congress Plaza and had a wonderful experience!

It was close to where my son lives. Not far to travel for graduation. Elevator not very big, but that's Chicago.

It's not the best or most updated hotel we've stayed in but it wasn't too bad. The area isn't too bad and it is very convenient to catch the red line. If you want to go to Wrigley or downtown, it's very easy and cheap.

I would not stay in this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. The rooms and furniture are old and uncomfortable, and there is an overpowering smell of cleaning fluid throughout the whole hotel. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but it didn't make up for the condition of the hotel.

Coffee maker had no coffee pot. They wanted to charge $20 to stay until 1pm.

We stayed here for a few extra days in the city after dropping our daughter off at college. The hotel is older, but well kept. We very much enjoyed the neighborhood, especially checking out the flower gardens and kids playing on the sidewalk on the 3 block walk to the Red Line. Lake Michigan's beach is only 3 blocks in the other direction. I accidently left the trunk ajar for a few hours while the car was parked out front, but nothing was amiss.Driving in that neighborhood is crowded, but the hotel has parking so there is no reason to drive once you get there. I wish we had found a nice restaurant or a grocery in the immediate vicinity. It might be there, but we didn't find it. The room had a fridge and a microwave, so you could keep groceries or nuke leftovers if you wanted. The continental breakfast was adequate, but they were short on space, so it was crowded if you slept late. We had great fun in the city, riding the Red Line to a Cubs game and catching the Art Insitute on (free) Thursday evening. We will stay there again.

The staff was very helpful with the bus connection to events in the downtown area of Chicago. They also gave us good suggestions for restaurants and the directions to find them. The parking was free and that was a real plus for us. It was also a fenced in lot which made us feel the car was safe during our stay. The hotel was easy to find.

Clean, spacious, friendly staff and close to Loyola University. Floor in my room was uneven. The hotel was scary on the outside but clean and friendly on the inside. The room was spacious and clean. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave.

Rude service at the hotel, out-dated features. Shady area, not for familys

Near public transportation. Small room for breakfast. My wife and our daughter enjoyed the stay because of the conveniences to public transportation.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!! There were bugs in the bathroom and the service was terrible. The people were not friendly at all!! I will never stay here again.

This was a great choice. It was close to the train system which we took downtown and to see the cubs. The staff was very friendly not sure what happened with the other reviewer. Gave us great advice on what to see and where to go. I would stay here again. Oh free parking anywhere in the city is a big plus.

People at the desk were nice; the matresses were fine. Why use a stinky deodorant spray? Others are on the market. It gave me a headache. I feel they should have given us another room when I said that the over-powering deodorant spray, a sickening fragrance, was giving me a migraine because I am sensitive to that. This hotel is located in a prime, lakefront area and should be renovated to capitalize on its location.

There was a bed. It smelled like a fart in the lobby. It was cheap and served its purpose.
