The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was clean enough, but just kind of old and worn.

The location of the hotel was perfect, Near everything walking distance. My bed sheets would mess up every night I was there, Annoying while sleeping. Hotel was int he perfect location. Right in the middle of every by attraction. Near the Peir, restaurants, Shopping centers. The beach was really nice.

Our hotel room was clean. The location was excellent. Everything was in walking distance. The beach was great! The breakfast provided was awesome. Great selection! Overall, it was a nice place to stay. My only complaint is that the desk staff was NOT friendly. I didn't appreciate their attitudes. I think they need some training on how to deal with the public. They were rude. The pool and pool area was old and needed some updating and repairs. The pool didn't look very clean and the hot tub didn't look clean either.

Very rude front desk. Internet not working. Over priced. Don't stay here.

Hotel does not have an elevator and has a very long and steep stairway to the second level. There were no ashtrays in our smoking room, and no washcloths, which never arrived after we requested some. Service was almost non existant, but for the money--the room was close to where we needed to be and the room was at least clean.

Very friendly desk staff, clean and comfortable rooms.

I would have given a great review had it not been for an incident on the beach that spoiled everything for us all, A janitor was feeding live bats that he had caught to the seagulls. Disgusting and very sad........spoilt our day to say the least

The Motel 8 Beachfront was a great deal for the money spent. We got the room a couple of weeks before the Chicago-Mackinac Yacht Race for a great deal considering the lateness of the buy and being on the water. There was a mixup on our bed size prior to checking in but was rectified by the hotel staff without a problem. The location was great as well...near the docks for the ferries and close to the Crossings for shopping.

The location of this hotel to all we wanted to do. This hotel had very good service, and was centrally located to everything in Macinaw City.

The room was horrible. We arrived to a freezing room we could not use. The desk clerk was rude and extremely unwilling to help in any service area. Will not stay again.

Located on beach. Poor, outdated facilities. Good location, but poor in cleanliness and modern ammenities.

Location is PERFECT! Rooms are a little small but clean, comfortable and everything in good working order. Staff was cordial & helpful. Pool area was nice but hot tub looked toxic. Breakfast room under construction, but we were welcome at the sister Hamilton Inn 3 doors down. Beach area a real plus, nice view of Lake Huron, with a swing and chairs provided.

Location. Pool was indoor, but you had to walk outside to get to it. Nice place right in the middle of everything in Mackinaw City. Quiet and pleasant.

The actual property is very nice. Right on the beach in between 2 Mackinaw Island ferries. The beach is very nice and the pool and hot tub never had anybody in it. The beds were awful. Felt like I was sleeping on a Moonwalk. Otherwise, it was an ok hotel for the price. close to all amenities. "

The Super 8 was a great place to stay. The room was clean and the beach was wonderful.

It was located in a convenient location. There was a shortage of parking space, close to our room. It was clean. Pool was warm and crowded. Breakfast was a nice variety.

We were very disappointed in the Super 8 beachfront in Mackinaw City. It was very dirty and old. The beds were awful. The room smelled like body odor and there was mold growing on the shower head and the bathroom floor. We booked for two nights and checked out after the first night because we could not take it. When we complained at the front desk, they did nothing about compensating us. The did not seem to care that we were not satisfied. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many, many nicer hotels in the Mackinaw City area. I can honestly say that I have never stayed in a hotel that I disliked this much and I have traveled many, many times in the last 15 years.

Loved the location, right on the beach and we had an end room which was nice too. The woman who checked us in was rude, impolite and not friendly and welcoming at all! The continental breakfast area was way too small so everyone was cramped. However, the location of the hotel was really nice as was right on the beach.
