Date of Stay:
August, 2009
Hotel seemed clean. Gave 3 because there was some webs and dirt along wall by air conditioner. Beds were comfortable but would bring own sheets next time. Can't stand flat instead of fitted as bottom sheet (they never stay on bed). It was quiet. Gave 3 for facilities because they do advertise pool but you have to go to days inn next door and use the outdoor pool there.

This is one place I would not stay again. Dirty floor and smelly room. I wondered if some type of bug was going to crawl on me at the lights went out.

My husband and I planned a weekend trip to Darien Lake for a concert. We checked into the Super 8 shortly after 3pm (which is the posted check in time) and we were told our room was not ready. After some shuffling around we were given a room. The room was right next to the stairwell so I did not sleep very well due to the noise of people using the stairs. Overall it is an ok place to stay if you are looking for a cheap place to lay your head at night. It is about 15-20 min from Darien Lake - very convenient off route 90 - easy to find.

Quick check in/check out. The hotel smelled like musty old smoke.

This is certainly an 80 night hotel. At check in I asked for two extra pillows. Front desk clerk handed me one that looked like a dog had slept on it. Had chunks of something and a big wet ring on the "clean"case. When I handed it back And asked for a clean on it took ten minutes for her to come back with only one, claiming there were no others available. The bathroom still had grunge in the tub and lone hairs in the sink and counter. Carpets looked like they had not been vacumed at all. When we went to bed - about 10:30pm, the beds were horibly lumpy, sheets had not been tucked in and the pillows were a large clump under the head. As we tried to fall asleep the room next door turned on the shower, whenever water would be turned on next door or toilet flushed there was a high pitched squeel and clanging. We woke to this at 6am as well. We took a general vote and even my 3 year old yelled "no" when I said do we stay another night? I asked to cancel because of the conditions of the room. They would not cancel without a fee of 25 because of less than 24 hours notice. We switched rooms as not to be charged, It was slightly better. that evening upon our return I asked again for needed pillows to which I had to wait 45 minutes and then had to track down the clerk to remind her my kids needed to sleep. Although we cut our day short to get kids in bed by 8:30 we couldn't until 10:30 when pillows finally arrived. There was only a couple danishes for breakfast - we ate a bob evans - DONTSTAYATTHISPLACEIFYOUHAVEANEXTRA30YOUCANSPEND.

It was convenient and affordable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room and hallways had a very musty smell. I felt this was a good option for what we needed. The price was right, but I wouldn't want to stay for more than a night or two. Continental breakfast was convenient but limited. Got what I expected.

This hotel was sufficcient but not quite up to snuff. We reserved a non-smoking king room and were told at check-in that they had a smoking king or a non-smoking double. We took the non-smoking option, but it was not what we wanted. The cleaning staff need to actually vaccuum between the furniture, not just around it. But the desk staff were very friendly and nice (despite the room mix-up). At this level of hotel I expect a clean comfortable room and not much else. This hotel almost delivered.

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were nicely decorated and the mattress was comfortable, but maintenance was poor (torn things were no repaired) and looked amateurish.

Very average older Super 8 motel. Everything looked tired. Staff was good.

Location. Run down. The beakfast was very weak. Not something to advertise. The room was OK however the over all hotel needs renovation.

Was unable to stay at hotel on Sept 15th, Monday due to bad weather in Michigan. Trip was not made. Sorry for inconvenience to anyone.

Location only. Breakfast, blanket, cleaning the room. Our room wasn't vacuumed, same blanket every day. Terrible smell when turning the AC. We were able to hear everything from next room travelers.

Breakfast, location and size. Creepy-eyed Guy. It was clean and comfortable. I would stay again!

Space in the room was convenient, short distance to all needed. Took awhile to get cot and breakfast was not enough, nor length of time served. Not overly expensive and met my needs and that of my children. Service could have been more prompt. Would recommend to friends for quick stays.

Close to freeway. Too expensive for what we got. Run down, hard bed, air conditioner problems, freezing cold pool, dark hallways, unsafe neighborhood, way too expensive for quality of the motel. wouldn't stay here again and don't recommend.

Location and price. Kind of drab overall. The hotel was ok for a short stay. Would not like to be there for more than 2 ways. Not much to do at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall met my expectations for what it was.
Date of Stay:
July, 2008
Good location and pool. No toilet paper, iron, there was hair on our sheets, and our towels were only replaced once. This hotel was the absolute bare minimum of our expectations, they left us like 5 sheets of toilet paper, we asked for an iron to use and got the most hilarious excuse for an ironing board from the 1400's. I think there were pieces of hay on it, and the complementary breakfast was a complete joke. There was cereal but no milk. Completely ridiculous.
Date of Stay:
July, 2008
It was very quiet and quaint. The lobby was under construction and a bit of an eye sore. It was a descent hotel. It would have been a lot better if it wasn't under construction.
Date of Stay:
May, 2008
Under construction. Currently under construction. Main lobby was closed. Was ok for a short overnight stay but not a destination hotel.
Date of Stay:
May, 2008
Nothing. Everything. This hotel is under construction currently and we did not have a working shower and the tub only hade a trickle of water coming out. Parking lot is a mess, no continental breakfast on sight.
