Our major complaint was we requested a non-smoking room. When we got there the room was smoky. We asked for and were given another room, which was better, but the non-smoking rooms are across the hall from the smoking rooms. So the hallways reek of smoke, and while we were there, people were smoking in their rooms with the doors open.

Wow, I was blown away at how different the outside was from the inside. The outside appearance is nice, the inside however reminds you of a seedy motel. When you first walk in the first thing you see is a no smoking sign however the building smells like an old ash tray! The guy working the front desk was useless and unfriendly. So glad we were there for only a short period of time!

It was quiet. They did not regulate parking, people were double parked. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was very quiet and the staff was very polite. The rooms were clean as far as I could tell, but it did show signs of wear and tear (like a few cracked tiles). Thats about it.

I really don't know where to start besides the beggining. We decided to check into the hotel before we went to the Liberty Bowl. I don't know if an employee was supposed to be at the desk but I just assume someone will be close enough to hear the bell. Not the case thirty minutes pass and we finally get checked in. The bed is awful. Springs were poking me in the back but at that point who cares we are going to a football game. People were fighting in the hallways at 2:30 in the morning and no hotel employee ever came up. So we had no sleep on the uncomfortable bed. The coffee in our room was moldy. The water tasted metallic. I wanted to take a shower to wake up instead of drinking the moldy coffee. No dice there either, our shower has no hot water and before anyone can help us we just take a cold shower and check out. It is also about twenty minutes in a cab just to get to the interesting parts of memphis. My advice DON'T STAY HERE

Staff was nice and after settling in I felt safe. Location was not convenient. The hotel itself is fine. Inside it was clean & comfortable and the staff was pleasent & efficient. When we arrived though my wife and I both felt like we were driving up to a jail. I came to appreciate this later. When doing our investigation of Memphis hotels in this price range I could not find a hotel that did not have some seriously bad comments and I was concerned about our safety and our property. This hotel had no comments at the time so I thought that was better than bad comments. I was right. The hotel is not at all convenient to the tourist attractions but the road it is on is a main artery so getting around was not bad. There is a tall chain link fence surrounding the property which gave the hotel it's jail like appearance but once inside I felt safe and secure. Nothing bad happened to our car and after a week of touring we were an obvious mark. Many of the other hotels in the area had reviews about how either cars were broken into or there were homeless people in the lobby or how the service or rooms were poor. We did not have any of these experiences and were pleased with the hotel. Turns out that the owners are really thinking about the comfort and peace of mind of their clients in an apparently not so safe city.

Overall, hotel was comfortable, neat and quiet. Should have had at least a microwave and refrigerator in rooms when you stay more than 1-2 nights. But a refrigerator should be in room regardless. Hotel was clean, however, my bath tub was not cleaned during one of my stays. Also, did not have access to side door close to my room. There should at least be a time when the door is open for guests with the key(maybe have the door open 7am-11pm or 12am). In addition, there needs to be a way to get to the hotel from the east end without having to make a u-turn in traffic.

Nothing. Idid not feel safe in the neighborhood. I did not feel safe in the neighborhood. I tried to cancel but was unable. the location was fenced with barbed wire around the top.

2nd floor room was unbearably hot despite running A/C on highest setting. No in-room coffee pot. Coffee station was a long trek downstairs. Stong bleach smell overpowered entire facility. Otherwise, comfortable beds, modern facility, large rooms. A little work could upgrade to 2 stars.

The friendliness of the entire hotel staff. A/C filter was dirty, leaking water on the carpet. We thought it was closer to Beale Street, since it was raining real hard, we didn't get to ride our motorcycle and had to take a cab instead.
