Over all a pleasant stay. Although I know of no Super 8 with elavator facilities this is the only thing I don't like. I was on the second floor and the lack of air conditioning in the hall way and the long set of stairs isn't the most comfortable situation. Next time I stay at a Super 8 I will request a first floor room. The hotel was close to my destination and I will stay there again.

2nd room was clean and had heat. First room lackedheat and furniture. The lady behind the desk was not friendly. The first room did not have any heat in it and it was 15 degrees out. The room had one lounge chair which was broken and well worn. When I asked for another room it was like pulling teeth and the place was empty. The second room was clean.

The room I checked in to was filthy. There was blood smeared on all of the walls. The carpets were not kept. The toilet was not cleaned. There was used toilet paper on the floor. I asked to use an ironing board it, had to wait to use one and it was filthy.

New Richmond is located is a farm community, so city people may not feel there is much to do. We chose this particular motel because we were doing sighseeing in Red Wing, MN and Stillwater, MN and Stillwater is just across the St. Croix river into MN. Being out of the tourist area, the price was lower, and perhaps 20 miles away, not a bad trade. The motel was clean and our room included a microway and a refrigerator, we were well satisfied.

Absolutely nothing. Room was smoky; thin walls, noise comes thru walls; tub running in next unit kept us from sleeping. Very poor. Person on duty did nothing about giving us the no smoking room we requested, said we would have to wait for owner/manager who came on at 2 am.

For a one star rating hotel it over exceeded my expectations. Very comfortable bed, built-in blow dryer and travel shampoo/conditioner. Didn't have some of the big tourist info for the surrounding area. Friendly, clean, over exceeds its price; I would go back there every time I'm in the area.
