We got to sunset vistas after a horrible flight but even when we were 6 hours late the people at the front desk were still friendly.we couldn't really see the gulf at night but in the morning we saw our beautiful view of the pool and the the ocean.the pools were also wonderful they were kept at a perfect temp. the beach was amazingly close unlike all the other places. our hotel room was very cozy.the beds were comfortable(even the sofa sleeper was comfortable)the cable was clear and when we were there it was warm and barely rained(sometimes did rain for a very short period like 10-15 minutes)having a designated parking spot was good to.over all it is fabulous and for a family of six we cant wait to come back. THINGS TO WATCH:the closer you are to the ground the better chance your not going to get a good view(unless you are on the back side of the hotel)2nd thing: if you go on to the beach in the afternoon make sure you have a beach umbrella because it is very bright.you can purchase these umbrellas for $16.00's in some great colors!before you book make sure you research, we found the place for as low as $750 per week(on off season). I recommend Sunset vistas to: family's,seniors couples or anyone who likes a quiet and relaxing place to vacation

The Sunset Vista Resort was just wonderful, the staff was great and the room was perfect. It was spotless, very large and very welcoming. There was even a washer and dryer in the place. The pools and hot tubs were very nice. The walk to the beach was very short and the area attractions were less then 2 miles away. I am very picky about where I stay and I could find nothing wrong with this place, even the rate was reasonable for a beachfront hotel. I have already looked into booking this hotel again next Christmas.

it needs someone to check on the cleaning staff. there were dirty surfaces because it was only cleaned in the places that were always used and the other areas were invisable. our cups / mugs were very dirty with dried mess inside them. we had to put everything through the dishwasher. check in was good, location was good and it is a nice resort.

We have a family of 5 and the suite was perfect for us. The unit was nicely decorated and inviting. It was nice having a balony which we used often. The property is located in a good spot and it was nice having it so close to the gulf. The pool facing the gulf was also really nice. It was a perfect size and always had plenty of space to lounge. We also liked that you could walk to St. John's Pass for shopping and restaurants. Our preteen and teenagers had a great time.

rooms were large, nice to have the laundry right in the rooms, two baths was also helpful with four adults in the two bedrooms, very well located to all amenities and John's pass, pool and hottub areas were nice, but the kitchen did not have enough utensils forks, spoons and such, staff was very courteous and attentive when asked for extra pillows or directions

This hotel, with it's condo-like rooms and gulf-view suites provide the perfect beach get-away.

This was the first time I booked a vacation online. I was hesitant about booking online as I normally book thru an agent. It was easy and not a hasel at ALL! The price was right. The hotel was WONDERFUL! All of the rooms have an ocean view, know matter what room you book. The kitchen was great for us, as we like to hang around the beach and pool during the day. If you want to be pampered this is not the place for you. If you want to be left alone and just have a quiet vacation this is the place for you at a great price. We enjoyed John's Pass as it is only down the road. Alot of cute shops and the pier is wonderful to walk on.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights - the rooms were very spacious. We had a 2 bedroom with 2 baths and a washer and dryer (came in very handy - especially with all the sand from the beach and drying wet towels)a living room and small dining room and a very spacious full kitchen. There was plenty of closet space for storage. The decor was very nice. The carpets were not vacuumed as frequently as they should be - however the rest of the rooms were clean. It was as close to the beach as you could get - some of the other hotels farther down were much farther away. The beach was nice - great for small children as the waves were not big so you did not have to worry about them playing in the water. You do get Dishwasher powder for the dishwasher - however you have to buy/ bring your own dish soap and laundry detergent. There is a Publix several blocks down the street so you can buy that there along with your groceries. There are several small stores around (Dollar store, McDonalds, gas station, corner type store, ice cream shop)for convenience and some interesting shopping places close by car. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

For the week duration we stayed there was no room service, only towel and garbage pickup every 2 days. We called the front desk a dozen times to get soap, toilet paper, shampoo and other necessities we assumed would be brought up every other day. Terrible service. The rooms are not as clean as the pictures - (you can imagine if they only clean after people leave) - the beds are old and carpets very dirty - just looks like the hotel is not as new as it probably once was. we actually had to buy plastic silverware because they only supplied us with 2 spoons and we ended up buying salt, pepper, etc - it seems like pulling teeth to get this hotel to provide anything but the room. This hotel has over 200 rooms and only 2 internet computers so we had to wait to do our airline check-in - they definately don't spend any money on the facilities (broken weight machines in thier fitness center and 5-year old computers - no other amenities) The beach is nice but I was surprised the town does not sweep it regularily like they do in clearwater so there was alot of algae and garbage all over the beach which makes for a nasty rotting fish smell when you go to the beach. There are alot of cheap hotels and bars in the area so be careful not to visit during any college breaks with kids (there are signs in a bar accross the street advertising bikini contests) so the area is not as kid-friendly as I had hoped. John's pass was nice and close by, there are alot of souvenier shops there and some restaurants. Probably will not return here.

We booked through private owner so we did not deal with front desk at all. Overall we were very happy with our vacation, the only things we were a little disappointed about were the view, we had an ocean view unit, but you could not really see the ocean, and it is VERY quiet. That is not a bad thing but we have 3 children, 11,11, and 15, and it was a little boring for our 15yr old. Our unit was really clean and the people that own it leave games, puzzles, beach toys, and cleaning products. We would stay again. Maybe just a little pricey for what they have to offer.

The Sunset Vista Beachfront Suites was the perfect place to stay while in Treasure Island, Florida. We traveled with our teenaged daughter so it was great having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We didn't realize that only one bathroom had a shower, however, it wasn't really a problem. There isn't a bathtub, only a shower. The rooms were quite comfortable with a large TV in the den and master bedroom. Having a kitchen was a definite plus. Although we ate dinner out every night, it was great to have the kitchen for breakfast and for keeping sandwich meats and sodas cold. There were two college-aged boys working there and they took care of bringing fresh towels and emptying trash cans every two days. Upon our arrival we found a shower curtain with mold on it and a coffee pot that didn't work. They took care of those problems IMMEDIATELY with a brand new shower curtain and coffee maker. We really appreciated their friendliness and helpfulness. We had a newspaper at our door every day. Each unit is equipped with a washer and dryer - that was so handy!! You need to take your own beach towels and it is great to be able to launder those each day. The beach is so close and the pool very nice.

The hotel was great. The only negative was the beds. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in.

Sunset Vistas was not our first choice of accomodations, but our usual place was booked, so I took a chance on this place. I was impressed by the suite right away. Very new and clean looking granite, appliances and fixtures. Everything was very bright and put together well. Some of the hotels right on Gulf blvd are getting a little nasty, so this place really shined brightly! Having 2 bedrooms was great - the beds were typical mushy hotel mattresses, but not unusually bad. The two pools were great - there is a kiddie pool that gets 1.5 feet deep at the deep end. The other pool (salt water) only gets up to 5 feet, but is it shaped nicely so you can always find a corner to swim in. The was a nice little tiki bar, easy to get a cold beer at. It would have been nice if there was a restaurant on site, but there are plently of places to eat at near by. All in all, it was a great place to stay at, and would reccommend it highly.

The Sunset Vistas is true to its name - it is beachfront, with a pool and deck immediately adjacent to the beach. It's located in the midst of quite a few condo-style hotels, and looks to be one of the most recently rennovated. Rooms are spacious and clean, with balconies that have a nice view of the Bay. Overall, a pleasant place for a weekend, especially if you don't want to stay at a big resort.

My husband and I took a long weekend to get away from the cold and business in our lives after the holidays. We absolutely love The Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites. The views are beautiful, our weather happened to be warmer than usual, which for jan is awesome! The suites are breath taking, the pool view is also great, the gulf is fantasic. The staff is wonderful there! The cafe has great food and Sheila is the nicest person who works at cafe. The best part of our trip was the fantastic bartending staff. I would like to personally Thank X and Y, They are incredible people ! They told us all the wonderful sites to visit, and we did . They also recommended some of the best restarants we ever eaten at. X and Y made us feel welcome and like old friends! We would come any time just to visit them, they made our stay at the vistas fantasic! Thankyou to everyone at the sunset vistas,we'll be back again, Sincerely, Diane and Michael OHare

Our stay at the Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites, Treasure Island, Florida was very relaxing. The room was a nice size and it was great to have 2 bathrooms and washer & dryer. The pool was nice and the beach was awesome. The only drawbacks were the mattresses. They were very firm and not too comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

The Sunset Vistas condo was a very pleasant experience-the view of the Gulf of Mexico was lovely from our balconey. The hotel pool was like bath water and the spa was great. There was also a bar at the back of the hotel that was nice. Just a couple of small problems in our room-when I opened the blinds one of the shutters fell off and the handle in the master bedroom on the sliding glass door leading out to the balconey-fell off when I opened it. A short 10 minute walk to John's Pass where there are a lot of shops and some restaurants. All in all a very pleasant experience. Look forward to booking another vacation there.

My husband and I enjoyed this hotel very much. It was very close to the beach, clean, and hotel staff was friendly. The suite was very roomy and had all the amenities we could ask for. I would stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
