Spent 6 nights, 7 days at the resort & I definitely will be returning!!!! It was great! The staff are excellent & friendly; the resort is huge & beautiful...just like the pictures. The rooms are comfortable & clean. It was glorious. Highly recommended for couples & for families.

The food was great. The atomsphere was laid back, hotel area/beaches was not crowded. Friendly staff. Dining, and bar staff were amazing. Entertainment was good. There were lots of activites to do. Location was ok. Slight problems we experienced was that we had to keep asking for washclothes after the rooms were cleaned and it took a while to get them. Also the pools can be a little cleaner, saw a couple drinking cups in pool, ( had a swim up bar)i assume it must be hard to do at times when there is people constantly in the pool. The pool is open 24hours. Overall trip was great worth the money, would go back

Forget the reviews. The only ones that write bad review can't be satisfied by anyone. It was a great value for the money. Five star? No, but a great 3-4 star. Every thing was clean and they upgraded us to ocean front without asking. These rooms are not suites the are hotel rooms, very clean with nice balconies. The furniture was a little dated but the beds were comfortable and the A/C was cold. Don't labor too much about the reservations for dinner. All the food was very good. We made reservations right after we checked in and had no problems getting the time slot we wanted. Our kids (21 and 23 stayed in the room next to us and had no complaints at all. The red stripe draft got a little old after about 4 days, but you could have any mixed drink you wanted. The buffet was pretty darn good. I heard some reviews say they had the same old stuff every day. I thought the food was above average and was changed up quiet a bit. The staff could not have been nicer and met our every need.

This hotel is great and inexpensive. There were so many activities to do on the resort. We went snorkling, kayaking, played miniature golf, water volleyball, and tennis. The hotel offered a conveinent shuttle bus for only $8 to the shopping strip. Also provided free shuttle to the nightclubs and back. We did have a problem with the balcony door, but maintaince came up to fix it. Housekeeping took a long time to bring our towels also. Other than those minor issues, the hotel was great. The hotel had 3 restuarants, buffet, and beach grill. The food was ok. Staff was friendly. The spa was excellent. Nadine, our massage therapist, did an excellent full body massage.

The hotel was nice, the activities were decent, the bar was excellent, but the food was too "touristy". If I wanted burgers and chicken nuggets, I would have gone to McDonalds....not Jamaica. That's about the only thing I would change; the type of food. It was not representative of the culture.

Staff always friendly. Plenty of events schedule therefore you don't have to leave the resort. This is my second time at sunset resort and I have recommend it to all I know.

We just recently returned from the best vacation of our lives and Sunset help make this vacation so memorable. From the moment we arrived to the resort we were greeted with drinks and friendly staff. There are so many activities to do. Whatever you desire it is available for you. The rooms were very clean and great views. The scenery of the resort is amazing. The food is great. Just remember to make dinner reservations. It is very close to the airport and hip strip. Which was great, we didn't have to pay much for transportation. We will be returning to sunset very soon. It is affordable, great service. You are guaranteed a great time! I miss Montego Bay!! We will be back!

I found myself as one of the canceled reservations for Mexico, and had to come up with a quick new place to go. Prices higher in this supposed 3 star hotel than the 6 star I had originally reserved. Upon arrival, we were given our room. What a night mare. It was so little you could barely move in it. There was a small TV that you got reception on sometimes. The toilet leaked all around the bottom, we kept towels down and had to change them twice a day. They maintenence people never came to check on it. There was only one electical outlit, for blow dryers etc. it would not work, kept popping the circuit breakers. We were traveling with an infant, there were no refigerators in rooms, and we wanted one, we could rent one for $5.00 a day. They did not have bottled water available for formula. But we could go out and buy some for $3.00 a bottle. I have tried to take my family on 1 all inclusive trip a year. Have always been more than pleased with all aspects of these places, but this one truly took the cake. Staff were friendly. Food was good. Pools and beaches very nice. Thank you for letting me vent. I thought I had investigated this resort very well, not the case.

Our room wasn't available until 5-6pm, we got there around 2-2:30. That was annoying, but the place was really pretty, and the place seemed to go on and on... We ate dinner at two of the three sit down restaurants, and the service and food was spectacular. We rented a car and drove to Negril, had a wonderful day. Hung out at the pool, swam to the bar, got massages, swam in the ocean.

If your looking to stay at a place where you have no power for a couple of hours each day or no hot water for 2 days, and no air conditioning all night then this is a place to stay. We had no power for over 2 hours for one night and then no power for over 8 hours another day. We ended up having no air condition for one whole night. It was miserable. I don't recommend this place.

The location is great. A 20 minute drive from the airport. This was our 6th trip to Sunset Beach and by far the most relaxing. We took the day trip to the Appleton Rum Factory and found that very worthwhile though the trip there over the mountains was a bit frightening due to the lack of guard rails. Our driver was excellent. My sister and I take a trip every March and due to the economy, we chose this trip because of the value. It was reasonably priced and we knew we would have a great time. There were always beach chairs available which is a huge plus. The food was decent and I would recommend making reservations for the specialty restaurants because the food was a little better there. All of the staff was polite and accomodating. The bartenders were all very fun, accommodating and patient. The wait staff could have been a little quicker to deliver water, coffee, etc by hey, it's Jamaica. No hurry mon.

We had a great time at Sunset Beach. The rooms, though outdated, were very clean. The room was cold at first but we were able to change the temperature of the room quite easily as the day went from hot in the morning to cold at night. The pools are awesome (especially when they have a bar attached)! The beach is very nice, though it gets busy so it's best to get out there early in the morning. The food was pretty good. It didn't wow me but it wasn't terrible. My main complaint there is with the lack of variety. Overall, for the price I thought this was a very good place to stay. The staff was very friendly and we had all of our needs met. I really liked that it was so close to the airport. After a long day of traveling it was nice to be able to get right to the hotel and check in rather than spend another two hours on a bus going to ocho rios or somewhere else further out in Jamaica. If you want to eat at one of the restaurants sign up early because reservations run out quick! We only got to try one restaurant. The food there was far superiour to the buffet food. The entertainment was awesome. They had stuff every night that kids and adults could enjoy. I think that it is worth the money to go this resort. However, if you are used to a more up-scale place you probably want to put in a little extra money somewhere else.

Great location: 10-15min drive from Sangster airport. Def don't pay for the cab online beforehand, it'll cost you a Jackson and a Lincoln one-way, both for me and my boyfriend. Also, it's on a little pennisula on its own, so it's nicely removed! Staff: all VERY friendly, but rather stupid; we had to go thru their mistakes for 2 nights before we got the room we requested. Food: all bars, 3 restaurants (Asian, Italian, Jamaican), 1 buffet, and 1 grill ALL included; we didn't try the Italian place, the Asian place was fairly okay (we're from NYC), and the Jamaican was solidly good! The breakfast buffet was great! For dinner reservations at the restaurants; don't bother going to the concierge but instead go straight to the restaurant. Pool: clean and fun! Swim-up bar! Beach: beautiful! Weather was great, and free basic water sports included! Room: clean and nice, altho we weren't given the room we requested.
