This place is super modern with beautiful rooms and great service. The pools are great. Some are quiet and some are more set up for partying. It is very calm and relaxing here. The beach is beautiful, the only downside is that the waves are a little rough so swimming is more of an adventure than relaxing, but still fun. The staff is very attentive and always bring drinks, etc. The food was good, not great, but good with lots of choices on what to order and where to eat. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything! This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Nothing! If you want to stay at a Resort that offers exceptional rooms, location, service, cuisine, and tranquility then this is the place. We will absolutely come again. Amazing experience.

Much of the "downtown" Cancun beach area is still recovering. We have stayed on the beach in years past. It is still not the same, and the red flag warnings haven't become less noticable. If you want to swim daily in the ocean, the Cancun beach is not my recommendation. We only had 3 out of 7 "safe" days. Go to the hotels on the north side of Cancun (towards downtown). We also checked further north on the beach strip at LeBlanc and Cancun Palace. They have less beach area, no chairs or umbrellas on the sand. We loved this hotel. It is adults only. Two/three (you will see what I mean) infinity pools overlooking the ocean and they were heated even end of May. The staff was wonderful! The food was 4*, and drinks abundant with many brand names. We went with another couple, which I would suggest for maximum enjoyment. They do "their" thing days, we do "ours", and compare notes end of day. A very good deal financially, and when we came home, we couldn't think of any complaints. VERY important to us is a sit-down outdoors balcony. It was small at Sun, but two chairs and a little table is all we want. LeBlanc has nothing outside. Glad I checked it out because it would not be a place I personally would want to stay.

I really liked this hotel. Very quiet, very peaceful. The couples-only feel is perfect for a restful vacation where both are pampered. A lot of honeymooners on vacation during the summer. Wonderful attention to detail and excellent food. Would stay at again!

I just want to confirm all of the positive feedback I have read about the Sun Palace on this site. Just returned on 9/1/08 after staying 7 days and it was remarkable.

There were people of all ages there (adults) so we met lots of other people and had so much fun hanging out with them. There were a lot of honeymoons, anniversaries, and other celebrations going on. The hotel itself doesn't have a lot of activities; they had games by the main pool (bingo, volleyball, trivia) but the bars closed by 1 am and there was not anything to do after that in the hotel. We went to the Moon Palace one night because they have a disco and that was a lot of fun. The Moon Palace is HUGE however in talking with the guests there it was too big; they felt ignored and lost in the crowd. The Sun Palace only has 230 or so rooms so it was much more intimate. You got to know the staff (excellent service) and you could recognize the other couples staying there. I highly recommend buying the airport transfer through this site, it was EASY to use. We got off the plane and the tour people were right there, they wisk you outside and are in the hotel for you so you get the ticket to go home. They even check your flight schedule to make sure you will be at the airport on time and not too early. You can book all your excursions through them too at the hotel or on this site. We did the jungle boat tour with the speedboats and it was a blast! The hotel has the best beach BY FAR! No seaweed, no rocks, and large spacious areas. We never had a problem getting chairs on the beach. The bed was HARD but the egg crate made it perfect, just ask for one at the front desk.

This was our second trip to Cancun/Sun Palace in the last three months. It was just as great as the last visit. We went to enjoy a relaxing vacation and that is just what we did. we spent most all of our time by the pool on on the beach. The staff are the greatest, they even remembered us from our last trip. When you go the the Mexican restaraunt ask to be seated at Pablo's table he is the best. For a daily suprise, leave you maid a tip everyday. You will be pleased. I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

My husband and I stayed at Sun Palace for our honeymoon. We had a fantastic time! The hotel staff was outstanding. They were extremly curteous and always willing to help with anything we needed. The best part was that when you stay at one Palace resort, you can play at all of them. Each day we visited, had dinner and drinks and used the facilities at each Palace resort in Cancun. The Moon Palace was by far the largest, but Sun Palace was absolutely perfect for us. It is the only one that is couples only. The rooms were amazing! Because we were on our honeymoon, we received 2 free honeymoon t-shirts. a bottle of wine with some fruit in our room and a bottle of champagne during turn down service. We also received a special Honeymoon dinner with our married names printed on our own special menu. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. I have been to Cancun 3 other times and have always stayed at a Palace Resort and they have always seem to exceed my expecations and this time topped them all. Palace resorts now offers shore excursions included in your stay which include the Wet-N-Wild water and fun park just down the road among many more. We can't wait to go back again! I will only stay at a Palace Resort! Oh I have to tell you the beds are so comfortable that I have never slept better in my life!

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was always on the ball and very friendly. The food was very good, you could also visit and eat at the other Palace Resorts. The rooms are just as nice as they seem from the pictures and they all have an ocean view (a big plus). Over all we had a great time and will definately stay at Palace Resorts again. We chose the Sun Palace because it is adults only and we were not bringing our kids, it was more relaxing for us with no kids around. There is a Jungle Tour that leaves from right across the street from Sun Palace also Sun Palace has a special deal with the "Wet -n-Wild" Water Park. I could go on and on about how great this place was.

This was my 2nd trip to Cancun and my husband's 1st, but since my 1st wasn't very memorable, I'd have to consider this my 1st as well! Aside from the vultures waiting for you at the exit doors of the airport, I'd have to say that it was an excellent trip and we can not wait to go again! We stayed at the Sun Palace Resort, All Inclusive and Adult Only. My parents offered to watch out children while we took this much need vacation so the only other children we encountered were when we ventured outside the resort to either meet friends for dinner or in going to Chichen-Itza. The hotel staff was amazing and so was the food. I loved that if there was something you wanted that wasn't on the menu, all you had to do was ask for it and you got it, no questions about it. This trip allowed us to meet some great people with whom we had an awesome time and I think we'll be traveling with in the future. The only thing I would recommend changing would be the "Presentations". Guest Services set you up for a time share presentation as soon as you arrive, before you ever have a chance to experience your hotel. This should be changed to be towards the end of you stay, so you have something to fall back on when thinking of buying a time share. Other than that, I can say that we'll definitely be returning and we'll definitely be referring others to the Sun Palace Resort!

We were given champagne, flowers and promptly checked in. Simply breathtaking! The views, in almost every room, are of the gorgeous blue water. The fridge was fully stocked. The flat screen and other amenities in the room make it feel like home, while the décor and hot tub separate you from your old reality. Take one step out on the balcony and you'll know you're in Cancun. It is simply amazing. The doorman gives you a quick rundown of the ins and outs of the lighting, hot tub, room key, laundry send out, and maid lights. The food is amazing. Always available, the room service is open 24 hours. Try the filet mingon at the restaurant downstairs. And hopefully you will hear a romantic song on the terrace. When we went to the Isla Mujeres, we were pleasantly surprised to find a Palace Resort there also. So while you are perusing around the island, you can stop and get a drink, hop in the pool, and take a rest there. The staff at the Isla MUjeres is particularly pleasant. Also when you go to the Island, get a golf cart. And please,,,,its way more fun NOT to slow down on the speed bumps. Itâs such a small town kind of place. Itâs a taste of non-tourism Cancun. Catch the ferry early so you can have your golf-cart all day. Try to get to all the other Palace resorts on the strip. What a LOVELY place for a romantic getaway. Everyone is just in the mood for a good conversation over some delicious âBlue Lagoons.â Take the bus! Its cheap. One night we had a man and his son sing Stand By Me. A memory I will never forget.

I couldn't believe this hotel wasn't awarded a 5-star. Everything was amazing from the second we walked in the door to the time we left. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room and decor was very clean and new. We would definitely return to this or any Palace Resort!

This was our 3rd trip to Cancun and our 1st stay with Sun palace and they had a lot to live up to based on our experience at our previous resort. Our main reson for trying another resort was the wonderful reviews and ADULTS ONLY!!! They not only met our expectations but exceeded them!! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with champagne and a carnation and from then on we received impeccable service. The staff was very courteous and we never encountered anyone who did not try to make our stay absolutely a wonderful experience. The room was the best we had ever stayed in and was immaculate! Our maid visited the room twice a day (unless we had do not disturb light on) and did an exceptional job. The refrigerator and bar was well stocked and was restocked daily with pepsi,dt pepsi,dt coke, coke, ginger ale, beer, apple juice, and orange juice. The only thing we lacked from our previous stays was Corona, which they do not have. The restaurants were absolutely wonderful. We never had a bad meal. Our favorites were the Italian and the Mexican at which we both ordered fillet mignon (because of previous reviews we had read) that was the best we had ever tasted!! They have a quiet pool and an activity pool which were both very nice and they have activities all day long. If you do go and plan on playing water polo or volley ball in the pool I highly reccomend taking aqua shoes because it will scuff up the bottom of your feet. They also have nightly shows and entertainment which is different each night. We went to the Celebrity show, Fire show (on the beach), and kareoke. All were very good and highly recommended. Also they have many excursions that are free but we only did the zip line which was a Blast!! Our main focus was to just relax and spend time on the beach but many other couples spoke highly of the excursions. This resort also has beach and pool service in which you not only can order drinks but food! Included in your all inclusive price also is 24 hour room serv

the hotel what in a great location. there where a lot of couples to meet and have a great time. my wife and i did not leave the resort because it was so nice. believe it or not, the food was good. usually when you stay at an all inclusive, the food is usually average. the service and staff were excellent. say hello to [...] for me. also look for [...], she will bring you drinks and food all day long on the beach.

The staff went above and beyond. We felt like they would do anything to make our trip great. The beach was perfect. They would bring you lounge chairs and dig in the sand to set up your umbrella. Drinks came every 10 minutes. We took a long walk both up and down the beach. Sun Palace had the best by far. We didn't spend any time at the pool but it looked like everyone was having a great time. The food was good, not super, but good. Room service for breakfast was THE BEST. You can't beat looking out to the ocean while enjoying eggs, bacon and coffee. Overall, I have already recommended this place to everyone I talk to. You really can't go wrong!

we visited the sun palace in the midst of the swine flu scare, so it was nowhere near capacity, but i don't think the service would suffer much with another hundred guests. the beach was postcard-perfect, the drinks were plentiful (it's an all-inclusive, so no real surprise there), and the infinity pools were uniquely laid out. that said, we also took advantage of the palace pass and ate at the moon palace, beach palace, and cancun palace. we'd highly recommend doing the same, as the variety of restaurants at the sun palace were pretty limited. our room was beautiful, spacious, and had a roomy balcony (which couldn't be said of similar rooms our family had at the moon palace). nice shower, unique vanity, and plenty of room for in-room dining. all in all, we had a wonderful time (compulsive hand sanitizing notwithstanding). we'd absolutely return to a palace resort, but might try a different location the next time around.
