Although the hotel is certainly not the most luxurious hotel on the island, that's not what we were looking for in our vacation. The hotel was clean, spacious, had alot of activities to take advantage of (although we weren't ultimately able to do them as we had a day of bad weather due to the hurricane in the Caribbean). The staff was wonderful, particularly those at the Activities desk. Definitely a great place!!! We loved Aruba, the hotel and will definitely return, and wlll also tell our friends about it!

I just returned from my trip to Aruba. I booked the Holiday Inn, which I have never stayed at before. The pictures on the website looked beautiful, however not the case. The pictures showed on the website do not match the room type listed. I know because I had to upgrade for * in order to get a more 'decent' room. The hotel was horrible. The staff were rude. My upgrade was to an oceanfront room. The view was great but the room smelled like mildew and dirty socks. Yesterday, we asked for a late checkout and they would only give it to us if we paid * for 2 hours. They said they needed the room but if we paid we could stay. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. Every time I complained they said they couldn't do anything because I booked through travel online, a third party. My husband and I both are thoroughly unsatisfied. This experience ruined my vacation.

The pictures showed on the website do not match the room type listed. I know because I had to upgrade for * in order to get a more 'decent' room. Also, they fail to tell you that a standard room means unrenovated. The first room we got looked like a run down dump. The hotel was horrible. The staff were rude. My upgrade was to an oceanfront room. The view was great but the room smelled like mildew and dirty socks. The room was dirty and nasty and this was the best room in the enitre hotel. Yesterday, we asked for a late checkout and they would only give it to us if we paid * for 2 hours. They said they needed the room but if we paid we could stay. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. My husband and I both are thoroughly unsatisfied. I have been to Aruba before but this was the worst. Remember folks, it is still a Holiday Inn no matter where it is located. |

Before I booked I looked at pictures of the rooms and read reviews. I then booked a standard room, which looked nice. Upon checking in, their standard room meant a non renovated room in a non renovated tower. But their web site shows a standard room as a renovated room. After seeing the room, I then had to upgrade into a renovated tower and room. Which was not cheap, an additional 50.00 a night. Every supervisor was nasty and was not willing to accomadate me. In addition, 1 of the 2 elevators in my tower was not working for 2 days. There were constant lines waiting for an elevator. Between what I paid for the trip and the upgrade, you can stay at a much nice hotel. The Radison has some great values. As for the Holiday Inn, I am done.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a nice vacation. I don't have many complaints. If you are looking to stay in some fabulous luxurious hotel, this isn't the place as far as looks, but otherwise this hotel is perfect. I wouln't have chosen to stay anywhere else but the SunSpree. Rooms were very large and wonderful views from the balcony. We were in the oceanfront room in the Aruba Section. The only complaint I have which really isn't the hotels fault is that I made a call from the room using my credit card. I talked for 2 minutes and the call was 41. I was appalled! lol....anyway, the hotel is near all the good restaurants, the pier and the activities. We had a ball. We went on the ATV tour which is great and I went parasailing. This hotel is nice, and worth the money. Oh, eat at Le Petite stone restaurant! it's great!
