This place is a rip off they are nothing but con artist. We still have not received our deposit back from our cancellation of our contract. We canceled within 10 days and have not received a penny back yet nor will they return our phone calls.

Stayed at Summer Bay to visit Disney World. We used the resort shuttle which was very convenient. Super plush rooms, we had a 2 bedroom deluxe condo. We were located at the pool area at building 5. Pool area really nice and stayed open 24 hrs. Had read where another traveler said they could not get towels at the pool area, but that was not true on our visit. They were putting out towels at 12:30 am. Really enjoyed our stay.

The whole setting from when you drive in is beautiful. There is nothing I can say negative about this resort. I would recommend this resort to everyone. It was so beautiful from landscaping to the rooms. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I do mini vacations every year at different resorts. I will only be going to Summer Bay from now on. So many things to do there, you don't need to visit any of the theme parks. I traveled with my husband, my 3 teenagers and my mother. All different age groups and there was something for all of us to do.

Only stayed two nights so didn't take advantage of facilities but understand they are extensive, although not on site. Good, basic clean and comfortable accommodation.

Beautiful place and nice location. Internet access costs 9.95 for A DAY, come on this is 2007 you can get FREE internet anywhere from McDonalds to hole-in-the-wall hotel/motels. My wife and daughter packed our bags and went spend our last two nights in a friend's room at another resort due to the huge cockroaches in our room at SummerBay. There response to complants were basically that there was nothing they could do, it's just "the season". I am from south louisiana and have the same climate as they do and my home is roach free. This was disgusting. I have read atleast 5 other reviews about roaches at this place. If you go, BRING SOME RAID!!!

The single bedroom suite worked well for our family of four (including a 2 and a 6 year old). The suite was clean, though the sauna bath had some mold around the jets (so didn't use). The site is very convenient to Disney (super easy tio get there, for instance Magic Kingdom in 20-30 minutes)as well as other Orlando/Kissimmee locations. Took our son to Fun Spot where he enjoyed the go-carts...much better than Disneys. The pools were generally clean, but only have towel service at 3 of the five, so make sure you know which are which. Staff are generally nice and responsive. There is a Publix and Denny's "on site" (about 1 minurte drive, affiliated with the resort), which was super convenient. Also an MD in same location. Hospital nearby (Celebration Health). Just a few down sides...Summer Bay is near another resort which had very loud activities during the day...so if you wanted to rest between day time activities, it wasn't always easy. Some of the hospitality staff do not speak English....frustrating at times. They also made a mistake with our reservations, booking us into the Hotel uinstead of the suite (beware....confirm if you are getting a suite via Orbitz). Also, we were tagged with ba $7.00 per nite "resort fee" though we were initially tiold we had paid in full after ourt initial payment was made. Perhaps this will be the subject of a class action suite one day...but for now, it was still a nice stay overall. I would absolutely recomment this site...watch out for the time share thing, however. Go for a foreclosed timeshare or condo instead.

The room, the amenities for kids, & security. No free internet access like other hotels. Great overall. We had a clean, spacious room with good bells & whistles [Jacuzzi, small patio, washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc.]. The kids had a great time at the Water Playground until it closed at 5 pm each day. The resort has an awesome feature of a 24 hr. pool at the clubhouse with tiki-bar. The local pools, spread around the resort semi-evenly, stayed open until a decent 10 pm. I loved this placed. We came back here from our vacation here about 3 years ago. Same great experience then with a 1 bedroom [minus the Jacuzzi as now with upgrade to 2 bedrooms with the kids along.

We stayed at this resort w/ my in laws, they are timeshare owners. The overall cleaniness of the room was gross. The tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms were dirty. There were cobwebs on the chandler. The staff argued w/ my father-in-law about whether the roaches in our were roaches or palmetto bugs.(same thing!!!) The beds were like bricks. My husband and I opted for the pull out couch...which was not maintained, springs not attached and you just rolled to the middle. The grass had not been mowed, we had mushrooms going out our patio. The kids pool was cold. On the plus side the a/c worked great, Publix nearby, Putt Putt was fun and close by Disney.

Shown very nice hotel but when we arrived we were dircted to a much regular Hotel. very disappointed. no kitchenett. Had to go acroos the highway to visit the big pools and was charge $7.00 each day for that wasnt worth it. but you get what you pay for. Other than that It's was quiet and ok. no Iwould not go back to that unless I was going to stay in the condo.

The rooms were very big, plenty of room for 4 people. Closer proximity to dinner restaurants would have been nice. The condos were great - nice and spacious, very clean. Lots of daily activities for kids were available at the main clubhouse. Listening to the karaoke in the evening was very entertaining.

We surprised our four sons with a trip to Disney before going back to school. We booked a condo at Summer Bay Resorts and we were very, very impressed. The condo was huge and clean. The washer and dryer in the condo was a convience as we came home with minimal laundry. We loaded the refrigerator for breakfast and munchies and the three televisions allowed for easy relaxation after a full day at Disney. Disney is only a 10 minute drive away and there are loads of good restaurants along the way. We had a six day pass for Disney which did not leave much time to enjoy the outdoor activities at Summer Bay but we did use the pool a few evenings.

We first visited last year with a time share agreement-we loved the facility and booked a villa this year-we love coming back from the theme parks and the pool being open all night-talk and meet other families and it is a perfect way to end a long exhausting trip to parks-so close to parks, shopping and dining. We want to come back again next year- I have twin 16 boys who found so much to do with basketball, motorboats, jet skies, golf and tennis courts-my husband and I love the Dj's at night and my 26 year old loves the bar and bartenders are great.

Second stay at this location. First time was better. Staff more responsive then. Amenities for the room made more available. Main pool area was under renovation. Not enough entertainment as with my first visit such as karioke every night.

Do not select this resort unless they guarantee a resort room; we pulled up to the resort and the guard welcomed us by saying you are at the 'motel' across the street. The motel is part of the Summer Bay Resort, they'll even charge you a resort fee, but the rooms are dirty, smell like cigarettes, and are nothing compared to the resort room pictures.

your booking at summer bay resort but this resort is for members only you are directed to the summer bay Inn across the street from the resort this Inn was clean has a pool rooms do have a small fridge with a microwave, coffee maker,hair dryer, and you are able to use all the resorts has to offer we didnt but for $50 a night I would stay again we didnt spend a lot of time there enyways mostly just to sleep Very nice staff

When we booked this resort with Orbitz, we did so with knowledge of the Summer Bay Resort having stayed there two years ago. When we arrived we were shocked to learn that we would be put up across the street at the Inn at Summer Bay which is a motel! Furthermore, they wanted to charge us an additional fee to use all the amenities of the resort. THis is outrageous. The kids were so disappointed as were we and we will be very hesitant to use Orbitz again for accomodations! The room was small, untidy and with a picture hung over the top of the kids' bed that fell on them while in bed. Any efforts to speak with management about this resulted in "Call Orbitz; its not our problem"....

It was very bad experence because you people sent me to a different hotel, not at the one you show me when I bougth the hotel tickets. You sent us to an INN and not to the Summer Bay Resort, I was so upset that I wont work with Orbitz any more.
