We did not have much choice of hotel as we reserved quite late. Paid around 84 USD. Hotel has all the amenities (cable TV, kitchenette, air con, clean towels daily, etc) but little charm. Decor is getting a bit worn; could do with a refurb, and the room was not super-clean. Having said that the room was big and the staff polite and helpful. We paid extra for an ocean-view room which in my opinion was not worth it: the street along the sea front is noisy, with traffic at all hours, and the view from the balcony was obscured by the safety bars right across the front of the balcony at eye height. Handy for hanging out diving kit to dry but not a place to spend an evening drinking beer and admiring the view! Overall an okay hotel but not more than that.

This hotel is affordable with two large beds and a fridge for convenience. It is close to the center fo town and diving. Very convenient.

We were suprised when the Carneval parade took place. A great experience. Suites Bahia is on the parade route so it's a great but noisy spot. The hotel was great, not fabulous but more than adequate. The employees were friendly, the front desk very helpful. We would stay there again. The city is busy but very friendly.

I have stayed twice. Both times I found the room clean and the bed confortable. It is a little dark inside and worn but for diving and the location in the center of town it could not be better. Not a resort but a place to rest confortably for the next day. I will return.Contrary to other reviews my room was located in the interior portion of the hotel so very quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location to downtown for eating or shopping. The Coffee Bean is right across the street. It has always been a very clean hotel and very friendly staff. I have stayed here many, many times and will stay here again in the future.

you should let people know that a standard room has a brick wall for a view. the staff is very unfriendly-many do not understand english. Friday and saturday night the noise from the street is so loud it is impossible to sleep. I would not return to this hotel and certainly would not recommend it.Our son lives in Cozumel and we plan on returning often. We were very disappointed with the service. To upgrade to a room with a window we were charged 25.00 a night.

The Suites Bahia is in an amazing location right on the strip by the ocean. Unfortunately, that means you have to put up with the noise from the traffic. The Staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and the breakfast at the Mexicana was top notch. Jaime (our waiter) was specially friendly and helpful . . . thanks for the Spanish lessons! This is a fantastic hotel for the price, I will definitely stay there in the future but next time I will make a pit stop at Chedraui or Mega to find a bed top foamy first . . . Those are some hard beds!

This is the ""BOMB"" mecca of affordable accomodation. U cannot go wrong on this place. Clean towels, room and bathroom everyday. They never stop giving you there excelent service. I would not say twice to go back again in this place. From the staff of this hotel ""Excenlente"" you this place even thou they are small but they have a big heart in accomodating everyone. Diving is one of the best.... Thank you

I have stayed here many times before. It is the perfect place for the diver that does not like the all inclusive hotels. Suites Bahia is right across the street from the pier that many dive shops use to pick up divers. There are at least 25 resturants within four blocks and it is only two blocks from the town square. The rooms are not fancy but the air conditioner, hot water, and TV work. It is three stories and there is an elevator. There is always someone at the front desk to assure your safety. Try not to stay in the suites overlooking the water (too much street noise) or the rooms overlooking the town (most over look the wall of the building next door) the best rooms have their owm private balcony and overlook the side street. If you are going to CZM to dive and enjoy the town, this is the place to stay.

We went in March, the weather was beautiful. We went in a group of 6, all staying at suites bahia. Get the room with the view on the second or third floor. It's worth the extra twenty bucks. The service was wonderful, the location was perfect close to everything. Great patio to look at the water- very clean hotel. The beds were rock hard though. That's the only flaw we found. We all loved it there.

This is a nice budget hotel. Great location, nice clean rooms with a fridge and AC. There's a microwave and computer with internet downstairs. Included in the price is a great breakfast buffet at another hotel about 2 blocks away. Overall, we couldn't have been happier considering the price we paid. If you're diving, we also recommend Aqua Safari, about 1.5 blocks away. Awesome dive shop.

We like the Suites Bahia because of the downtown location. We dive and like all kinds of Mexican food and everything is within walking distance from downtown. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with a morning continental breakfast if you wish. There is a computer in the lobby for guests to use. We have stayed here many times and enjoy it very much.
