Great stayI had a great time. The food was excellent. Took me a while to work out the television. I would definitely recommend it.

Television in the room did not work and the door to the room 301 could NOT be locked from the insideCompared to previous visits, no fruit juice was supplied or available at breakfast

The room was small, shabby and tired, with some staining on the walls and carpets, and the furniture doors were broken. The bedroom surfaces were dusty, although the bedsheets, bathroom and towels were clean. I was disturbed during the night by loud music from outside (perhaps a nearby nightclub?). The reception staff were friendly, however the breakfast staff were very unhelpful (accusing me of not paying for breakfast when this had already been added to my bill, and refusing to accept card payment 'on a Sunday'!). This hotel was adequate for a brief business stay, but I would certainly not opt to stay for longer than a single night.

This is a good budget hotel. Staff on reception desk were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food served in restaurant & bar was exceptionally good and good value. Hotel is no more than a 15 minute downhill walk to town centre (but uphill on way back!!). Only problem is car parking. There are, at most, five spaces available at the hotel - I was lucky to get one so I don't know what the alternative is.

Hotel was perfectly placed for the centre of town. Staff were very pleasant. Room heating was a little too high and I couldn't regulate it from my room. Nevertheless the room was very cosy.

No breakfast included so didnt eat at the hotel. Basic holiday inn type hotel - everything you need, but no personal interaction with staff or management. Rooms clean, staff efficient. 5 mins from city centre. Walking distance to station. Safe for single women. Lots of nearby pubs and restaurants. Only problem was fire alarm going off early am, rushing down three flights of stairs only to find staff calmly carrying on with work because \"it goes off all the time just ignore it!\"

Food was OK but too expensive. Convenient location yet city centre traffic contributed to the noise levels. There was no wireless connection (very weak signal) in my room and I had to go down to the lobby in order to check email. Staff admitted the existence of this problem yet it was not resolved during my stay. Chair in the room was on the verge of collapsing so I had to remember this every time I wanted to sit down.

If location of your hotel is a priority ,then you may like this hotel.It is literally 1 minute walk to the city centre.This however is the only positive thing i can say . The hotel condition is poor, the rooms are hot and dated and the window in the bathroom i stayed in was sealed with duck tape.They also didn't have a key for my room when i arrived.It is certainly not the 4 star hotel as advertised.

On arrival the hotel had no record of the booking, however they had availability and booked me in straight away. From then on the service was excellent.
