The Stellenbosch is a boutique style hotel that also offers several self-catering apartments. Museums, art galleries and curio shops are all within walking distance. The hotel was built on land granted by Gov. Simon van der Stel between 1692 and 1701. It was restored in 1987 and has been declared a national monument.

Restaurant Jan Cats Restaurant: The famous restaurant serves fine local and foreign dishes, and the sidewalk tables are ideal for a pub lunch or a visit with friends. Live crayfish served, fresh oysters, a 'catch of the day' and a selection of exotic game dishes. Also, a la carte menu available with a variety of items to choose from. The wine list supports the local vineyards.
